- We take a look at the impressively well detailed Montana Class kit from Joy Yard. Although these ships were never built, they represent the peak of US battleship design and Joy Yard have painstakingly rendered it all in fine detail.

Just to clarify, this is an early pre-production example and does not 100% represent the final product. There will be some changes with regards to packaging and some of the parts.
Wow! I wonder what the final parts count is??
I believe that at one point during the war before the class was cancelled, that there may have been discussion about replacing the 40 mm Bofors with the proposed new 3"/50 cal DP twin open mounts on a 2 for 3 basis.
Great video. Model looks really well detailed! I recently spent hours scribing hull lines, opening doors, etc., on 1/350 Revell kit of HMS Dreadnaught. Might get round to actually building it one day soon.
JY made awesome model kits. I bought both Missouri and Montana, best modelship kits ever
Where did you get the kits? Would you say they are better than the blue ridge Montana detail wise?
where i get wooden deck in this model? do you know?
I enjoyed your review I am amazed though it took China to build a great kit where clearly it should have been done in the U.S. , keep up the good work well done indeed .
If you were to leave the catapults off you could place a couple of Helicopters on deck, since they would've been in service by then.
Hello, is this kit still available? Wooden deck, too?
For being a battleship that was never built, how do we know it's correct ??.
