Awesome summary. I have been in the fitness industry for a while and making a shift to functional patterns but always found it hard to describe to others. This was the first time hearing the comparison to other modalities of training without being disrepectful. The intention is key. Thanks

Hi there, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I'm glad it made sense. Sometimes I ramble and ramble and hope for the best ;-)

I agree with her statement. As someone who practices fp and does so with my clients as a trainer, I also feel like I ramble when I attempt to describe it to people who do not know what it is. Fantastic work.

Thanks for the video! At least someone could explain what that is without some bs vague statements and sh!tting on other sports.

    Awesome video!
Are you aloud to post this kind of content? Because I thought FP was extremely strict and conservative with it’s philosophy, and only allows people in on the knowledge providing they pay and sign the T&C’s which restrict any sharing of information.
You seem like a really cool guy so i’m glad someone like yourself is explaining things in a calm and detailed manner 👍

Thanks for the comment and taking the time to watch.
I understand what you are saying about the T's and C's but there is nothing in this video that another practitioner wouldn't share with their clients.
The terms or agreements would probably be enforced if I were to dial in on a specific corrective concept and share that freely. That is more to do with their liability and reputation than anything else. An exercise done well can have a huge impact on a person, an exercise done badly can cause more problems than it solves. Most of the fitness internet is made up of people doing exercise really badly and encouraging others to do it. So I think that's where they would probably lean in on me.
      E.G.
If I start sharing content from their courses online under my name and then people go and copy them badly the experience becomes an overall negative experience for the individual on my behalf. That's on me.
In this video I am simply discussing a training concept to help people who have purchased the online material piece it together.
I think on a philosophical basis the way I view the FP online courses is like a garage full of tools. They wont all solve the same problem and you might only need a handful for a job...
      I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for commenting and I'm glad it was helpful. I have got an updated video in the works. I keep finding new things to talk about though so when I stop being such a perfectionist it will come out. Likely in the next couple of weeks. :-)

I love how fp coined the phrase intentional. Like people don't have any specific intention when they move.

What do you think of the bottle trick to massage the pelvic floor?

I think that it has some relevance but wont address what is causing the inflammation down there in the first place.

You’ll find more benefit from looking into the 10 week course and the Functional Training System for movements. 🙌🏻
