It says at the start of the trailer what’s the movie/story’s gonna be about. They are raised in a colony doing terraforming efforts on a planet not specified yet just like on Aliens Lv-426 Hadley’s Hope where they show in a scene some kids of the colonists there just playing around. Fede made this film around the idea of how these kids’ future would be like for them when they grow up? Would they do the same stuff like their parents or would they go and make a future for themselves, somewhere else, doing smth else? So the story is also about sibling-hood, just like Romulus and Remus we got Rain and Andy her surrogate brother since they were kids, so they got a strong bond, and so Andy or someone else asks her do you really wanna be here? and so they’ve heard about this forsaken space station carrying cryo pods and other things they can salvage from there, which helps them for their long journey ahead through space travel, so they embark on this mission as thieves/looters wanting to steal the pods, but things starts going south from there with the mission being jeopardized because of the unknown and what’s about to happen to them. So that’s the main plot. But you would have to get that from watching the interviews with the cast and surf the internet a little more on this topic before watching this trailer. It’s not your fault though! The trailers only show some colonists wanting to escape the colony and steal highly regulated equipment for their trip. They don’t show that Andy and Rain are siblings and that their relationship is being explored a lot more throughout the movie. We never really had that theme before in an alien movie, which will make for a more emotional film than just a slasher horror. Like would you do everything in your powers to save your own brother/ sister getting taken from you? That’s what Fede teased in his interviews. Now those leaks are everywhere if you search it up. And I’m sure there’s more than that to the story!
