This is the video I have been searching for, I'm at 500 hours on Rust, I am able to get to a compound and T3 Guns but it takes me about 3 days of solid playing to do so, can't wait to give this a try
i would always build a small 2x1 or even a 1x1 because it takes up very little resource from coming back from outpost i usually have enough for a TC a 2x1 a few boxes and furnaces, best start i ever had is the route i took had me running the roads for a few grids to get to outpost and while farming i got a revolver, a ladder and ladder hatch lol, with one trip i had the 2x1 set up and with a few hours go a mini compound with bunker base and t3 and AK and MP5 BP, Outpost or any safe zones are pretty good for new players on the server, you can also try your luck with poker if anyone is there.
This is my personal take on the "nomad playstyle" I believe there's often no point in building a base without loot. Though there are times a small base early is useful. So I do a lot of 2x1s and 1x1s
Make a little base first time and don't waste time dieing with all your loot on you. Having a basa and don't having one is the diference of starting process, is easyer to start with something in your base and starting fresh. Make a base first time!
These are good tips but unrealistic to make as a solo in a high pop server. By the time you get to underground you are most likely gonna die to a +5 man team.
50/50 if it's a high pop, pvp is ass with compound jf you don't have the element of surprise, but if you are only killing the dwellers and know how to efficiently use the compound bow, I'd say take the latter
Locked crates spawning do not respawn crates, there are a set amount of crates that can be spawned, and with each horn, 1/3 of the crates are spawned. Getting there early has no effect on how much loot is spawned.
You must be new. It literally does respawn the crates go do cargo. They respawn twice after initial spawn and only if fully looted. Hell want to come in my priv server and I'll show you? Lol it's been a mechanic since cargo was added. Edit: while not all crates respawn each time. Most do, and only if fully looting each crate.
You are sort of right dude only you just didn't explain it very well. Locked crates spawning does spawn (not respawn) crates. 9 crates will spawn with each locked crate spawn (1/3 of the total crates cargo will spawn , 27 in total) The horn signifies each new locked crate and coincides with a new set of 9 normal crates. This is a set amount and doesn't change if you arrive early or late it will always be the same like you said ;) PS I am not new and have tested this EXTENSIVLY
Lol, ok so Karl I sat through one cargo. No crates spawned in the same spots. Then my server crashed. You might be right and maybe it's changed. I know I've seen crates spawn in the same spot before (like spawning in the crows nest twice on one ship) but apparently my server doesn't like me spawning in 7 cargos at once and I can't be bothered to do that much testing to try to replicate lol
Early before those 2 I used to do oil rig as it gives tons of ammo and meds and can be taken safely from a boat with a compound bow and 2 stacks of arrows
There is no free food in barbeque, also tec gloves gave me just 30 cloth instead 200, playing on Official Solo server. Im new, and this guide kinda didnt helped me, starving at outpost without barely anything
Used to do it all the time when I was bored, even just a like med (50-100) pop it's easy to dominate with this method, maybe have to win a couple fights at rig or cargo
You are wrong about the cargo spawins. You CANNOT get triple loot by arriving early!!!! There are I think 30 total spawn locations on the ship. When the first locked crate spawns it also spawns 1 third of the standard/military or elite crates (NOT ALL OF THEM). When the next locked crate spawns in it also spawns another THIRD of the regular crates (into spots that haven't yet been used) Then when the last crate spawns so does the last of the other boxes. I think its 8-9 boxes with each locked crate. So If you arrive early and loot all the boxes b4 the the 2nd locked crate spawns you WONT get extra when the next crate spawns you will get only another 8-9 boxes and they will never be in a spawn you have already looted. Thus if you arrive after the last locked crate has spawned all the standard/mil crates will also be there filling virtually all the possible spawns (around 24-27 crates) and you will not have missed out on anything. Conversely if you arrive early there will only be 8-9 available to loot. Thats why sometimes Cargo appears to have lots of loot and sometimes it appears to have not much, depending when you arrive. Bottom line is arriving early DOES NOT mean more loot and arriving late doesn't mean you will miss out on anything!!!!
A large majority of the time the spawns take up the same spot. If you don't full loot it will not spawn. A person arriving to cargo third crate will get less loot than someone first crate.
@@Reksmore Not so bro, try doing cargo a few times and take note of exactly how many crates you get. It is always the same no matter when you arrive. Trust me on this one. The crates never spawn in a spot where one has already spawned and already been looted. Ive run cargo on a test server countless times to try to find out the best time to arrive and never had two crates spawn on the same spot for each run through. I promise if you arrive after the third locked crate has spawned every other crate will be on the ship and available to loot!
@@Reksmore Dude Its different when you are in game worrying about counters etc. It might 'feel' like there is less loot but there I assure you there isn't. I've literally tested it over and over. Just count the boxes you get the next few times. If you arrive early loot the first 9 boxes that will already be there and take note of the exact spots they were in. When the next two locked crates spawn in I will eat my shorts if any of them spawn into those same spots. You reckon it happens the majority of the time so it should only take a run or two to prove me wrong. No disrespect or anything I'm just trying to help everyone out here bro. No-one seems to understand how Cargo actually works. I use the fact that the crates don't spawn in the same location twice, for any given run, to my advantage. I know exactly where the last set of crates will be when the last locked crate spawns in.. And they are ALWAYS in the spots that have not yet spawned in a crate. With out fail! Ive tested this close to 50 times writing down every crate location each time and in all those run throughs I NEVER once had a crate spawn in the same place twice. If you can find or post a clip of this happening i'll eat my words. But I can't believe after 50 run through's, meticulously noting when the crates spawn in and their locations that RNG just happened to fill the unused spots. Once or twice you might get that RNG but to not have a single double up in 50 runs would be a million to one. Just try next time you on there... loot all the crates up after the 2nd locked crate spawns and before the third locked crate spawns. If you know cargo well enough you will be able to work out exactly where the last 9 crates will be. This can be very useful as you don't need to run round every spawn point to find them eg. If all the spots in say the main bridge section of the ship had crates on them during the first two locked crate spawns, and you have already looted them then there is no need to go back up there looking for the last set of crates. It is a waste of time as there won't be any new crates in a spot that has already been looted. This information is gold and you should share it with everyone!!
I don't have to finish reading because after the first bit happens all the time. It literally spawns in the same spots many times... I don't have any old cargo footage to point to and can't bother going to launch my test server to prove you wrong, but crates indeed have and can regularly spawn in spots that are occupied and if not properly looted will not spawn
@@Reksmore No, thats not how it works, it will always locate a free spawn before spawning in. Give it a whirl yourself on a private server, as someone who've played the game for 10 years and ran servers for 7, its always been that way. You'll always get the exact same amount of crates on cargo.
cant lie this is pretty unrealistic unless its a solo only server. getting pump mission first on a high pop server and then going to underwater labs is probably better as it keeps spawning really fast

I'm sorry that's not something I'm good with! people have to help me lol
Don’t be mad, bro. Be nomad
I like it video.i try hem .tnx
Imagine doing this on a solo only server. You’d quite literally own the server
Used to do it all the time when I was bored, even just a like med (50-100) pop it's easy to dominate with this method, maybe have to win a couple fights at rig or cargo
Tbh didnt know until now you can use a paddle in the safe zone
I do a lot of cargo man... and if you arrive at third crate you get less loot...
I don't have any old cargo footage to point to and can't bother going to launch my test server to prove you wrong, but crates indeed have and can regularly spawn in spots that are occupied and if not properly looted will not spawn
does this work on console edition?
You will always get 3 times the crates, they aren't respawning but spawning.
They cannot spawn in if the slot they would spawn is occupied. Meaning each crate you don't loot could result in less loot
@@Reksmore No, thats not how it works, it will always locate a free spawn before spawning in. Give it a whirl yourself on a private server, as someone who've played the game for 10 years and ran servers for 7, its always been that way. You'll always get the exact same amount of crates on cargo.
I think im going to make one of these videos but for console players. 🤔
cant lie this is pretty unrealistic unless its a solo only server. getting pump mission first on a high pop server and then going to underwater labs is probably better as it keeps spawning really fast
I can't take these duos man. Everytime i get up to the tunnels there is someone else to kill me.
(Thos scientist missing at those long ranges.)
Yeah...that dont happen with ne.
but what if u die to a group of 5 bows ;)
You don’t think you should stash the scrap before going back out
I have a very large distrust for Stashes from the old days
M9 doesn't give bullets anymore tho
Yes it does. Some specific servers make it not
Anyone good enough to pull off this method on a decent pop server already knows what they plan to do on wipe day lol
Plenty of people have gotten good info from this. Sorry you didn't enjoy
How do you take so much damage from npcs and not die they shoot me 3 times and I’m almost dead and bleeding
Armor
@@weakestbutterscotchenjoyer you can’t get armour
@@lukeskywalker6691 wood armor, hide clothing. Wolf headdress. Does your dense head not deflect bullets already?
a full wipe day vid of you pulling this of would be pretty rad
Thats basically what a lot of clips from this are 🤣😅
The problem with watching videos that help is that the you-tuber is good and the player needs help and is bad
Lets be honest, if you're still playing rust you like to RP and getting top tier guns ruins the fun faster.
No….
This is not doable on a normal vanilla official
I've literally done it what to you mean.
Nilsen did you get so mad people disagreed with you on the other video that you're hate watching my videos rn? 🤣😂
Works on dead servers
I do it on high pops, hence people constantly coming.
However I do recommend practicing Lower pop as it's an advanced strategy
videos so frustrating because I know if you die once you gotta redo the entire process
indeed, but the loss and reset helps you lose gear fear and make bigger plays
who
When
@@Reksmore who/when did i ask
Riko that was far too obvious or a 2 year old joke my dude that you had to stretch to try to make work
@@Reksmore if you knew why did you ask - also (its a joke)
this is so BS advice.
In a real game you can't walk almost nowhere and not get shot. I run and run and randomly just a guy shows up with already machine guns... or i run to some other place and boom a guy witha bow shows up.
You cant even get anywhere .
And this guy is saying that farm for guns ... lol :D
one death and its all gone...... it's such BS idea. Just one death and all your progress ( killing scientists ) is over and time was wasted.
And considering 33 % people cheat.,,... using aimbots and can see where people are on the map... then trust me YOU WILL GET SHOT.
