- After a near-miss between Ben and David, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) knows she has to choose between them right away. Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) has Darlene read the texts she sent to both of them and it's clear which one she really has feelings for. Watch 'The Conners' TUESDAY 8|7c on ABC.

I'm not. It's realistic and shows what happens when tragedy and death occur. It can derail and person and life.

Sara Gilbert looks great. I cant get over how all of the cast aged well. And the writing on this show is brilliant.
So annoying they keep putting Darlene and David back together. They're no better in their relationship as adults as they were when they were kids. Darlene has always treated David like crap and David's always been a wuss. It's just tiring. Just break up and stay broken up!
David's absence as a parent is what caused Mark to be the gender-confused mess he's in today. Ben has only been in Mark's life for but a few months, and he's already proven to be more of a father for Mark (i.e. teaching him music, helping him with his school project, etc.) than David ever was.
He's not a wuss, he's just too good for you.

They're broken up for good now. I knew on the original run of ROSEANNE they would get back together after they broke up because David was still on the show. But when Johnny Galecki left and Jay R. Ferguson stayed, I knew it was over.
Roll a fat blunt and smoke it all... this is a sitcom, this is not real life. The Connors do not exist... also, the show is not supposed to be 100% accurate, if that were the case they’d just create a reality show...
I have to say I really miss the hard realistic truth of the old show. If you need an example watch the episode Darlene when she went into labor early and then watch when Becky did.😒
I haven't watched the show all due to Roseanne being canned. I am watching clips and I recall how Darlene went into early labor with Harris. I missed it with Becky. What happened?
Suzanne Morales If you want to know, you really should watch. Personally, I think they have created something really meaningful in Roseanne’s absence.
I havent watched since Roseanne was fired either, I may look the show up on HULU.

I was wondering if they had even mentioned Jerry or Andy ... Especially Andy ... With Roseann off the show ... This has given Laurie Metcalf the opportunity to step up and SLAY this show ! She's such a talented actress ... Notice when Dan's GF and her where talking and she asked Jackie if she ever had a man ask to be diapered ... Jackie was like old man or baby ... Notice how nonchalantly she says "yes " ... I bout fell out laughing ... Keep the Conners coming ABC !
The show runners retconned Andy's existence like they did Dan's death.

David was cool, especially when he sewed the pants that Mark wore before going out. Nice smooth tushy. Same thing happened on Vicious.

I think the wrote Andy out of the show and pretended it never happened like they pretended winning the lottery never happened.
And they do mention buying back the lunchbox in one episode of the show. Becky and Jackie were gunna do something with it
@@SjofnBM1989 The lottery I understand because Roseanne said she made that up to help her deal with Dan's death but then the re-boot back pedaled on that. But Jackie being pregnant and Andy spanned many seasons.....weird.

Somewhere in the relaunch they lost track of some plot threads. In the original show we thought Bev sold her stake in the Lunchbox to Leon, then it turns out she owned the property all along. Jackie had son Andy with Fred. Finale episode indicated Jackie was actually lesbian, Bev was never really lesbian, Becky & David, Darlene & Mark were really couples, Dan died, and they never won lottery. Then when show resumed, Dan never died, Jackie's not gay, Darlene married Dsvid and had babyl, Becky really was with Mark after all, until he died later, so it's hard to tell what was and wasn't supposed to be show canon.
Then again during original run of the show, Roseanne was always mentally unstable, constantly firing writers during mood swings, one of them her own sister, who claimed Roses embellished or lied about her own personal life's details.
They made it clear that the final season of the original show never happened as far as the reboot goes so people need to stop asking these stupid questions
I honestly thought this show was dead after Roseanne left ... I was so wrong ... It keeps getting better .. I miss Roseanne being apart of this family but I'm so down with Dan's new lady ... The lunchbox reopening ... And I'm just waiting for Darlene to realize she don't want either David or the other dude because she's a lesbian ... Keep the Conners alive ABC !

This show got so much better post Rosanne.

@@janethobbs3896 I don’t think they should have fired her but I understand it. They should have suspended her for 2-3 episodes and then fined her. Problem is they gave her several warnings. I actually thought they were going to fire her before the Roseanne reboot started because she kept tweeting these conspiracy theories that turned out false. Then her kids had to take over her Twitter page and once they started letting her tweet again she became unhinged. It’s sad! I wish Roseanne the best and hopefully she can create another sitcom.
I think it is better without her. Gives the other characters a chance to tell their stories.

The thing I don't like about this show is the children never ween. The dad just lets them stay around, probably cause he's lonely. These kids have to fly. But now they are in their late 30s plus and haven't left home.
They did leave home for years and just returned in the show. That's what it's about.
They all tried it in the real world, and all came running back to the nipple and father's control.
