Oh yeah, I have one next door that would call complaining because my dogs bark during the daytime. She called the cops a couple of times on them; on a terrible day, I called her. Her husband answered. I told him to tell her the dogs are inside at night, they bark during the day occasionally as all dogs do, and what more did she want. Hasn't complained since.
Honestly, I think had they kept Kathy’s character around longer that Roseanne would’ve ended up winning her over as a friend in the end. That could’ve been a fun storyline to play around with.
It was implied they could have been in Kathy's last scene the look Kathy gave Roseanne after she implied that they could have been if given the chance.
I think there would have been a better chance of Hell actually freezing over, than Kathy and Roseanne ever becoming friends. It would never have happened.
Nah they really just flat-out disliked like each other. It was only for the sake of their sons that they put up a reluctant display of cordiality in the end. But there was no love lost and certainly no chance of a friendship ever developing.

Its a Shame Kathy Bowman was only on the show for about 1 season. That character really added to the show. I mean we all had a neighbor like this at one time or another. I have definitely worked with people just like her. In fact, coming to my memory, the Connors never really did keep a neighbor more than a season. There was another where a guy had two teenage girls move in and Darlene had an issue with one of the girls and the other girl seemed to be a sweetheart who liked Roseanne. They didn't last one season either. I, myself, would have Loved living next door to Roseanne! 🥰🥰😋😋
You're talking about Ty Tilden, and his daughters, Charlotte and Molly. Darlene had a problem with Molly because she thought, rightly or wrongly, that Molly was trying to have a relationship with David. Charlotte, the older daughter, was a sweetheart.
Kathy is one of those neighbors you love to hate her acting was on point incredible her character couldn’t stand Roseanne this was amazing performance.

That big stick comment brought back memories. My mom used to say things like that all the time and as innocent as I was I would repeat them just like D.J. My mother would then say that I was just a little liar making up stuff, but people knew.

The highlight of the month would be splurging on an "upmarket" Dinner at the Landford Lodge!!! Ha!

It's a bummer they brought the actress back on The Conners as another character for just one episode. Would have much preferred if they had her run into one of the Conners as Kathy.

Her comment was directed strictly towards Roseanne, which is due in no small part to their animosity for each other, but I can't help but wonder what she said, or if she said anything hurtful like that to the other neighbors who watched. She really played Kathy to perfection. It takes a good actress and a great sport to willingly play someone this unlikeable and do it so well.
