The quest for the perfect tactical pants continues with the Vertx Hyde. These pants are new on the market and do a lot of things really well. They are a pretty lightweight and breathable pant (especially the LT) and they have pockets galore. Comfortable fit and a lot of features make the Vertx Hyde a pretty premium pair of pants. With a few minor improvements, I think these pants could be about perfect.

I just order a pair of these, LLOD code saved me $10!! and they are on sale right now for $39.99! super great deal, I probably wouldnt have shelled out the $79 bucks they are usually listed for. cant wait to get them, plan to use them as outdoors/ range pants and maybe to work depending on how thay look. I love that they hold ar mags and have a bunch of pockets but dont look like cargo pants or super tacticool.

Nice video as always, how do you size your pants? I wear a 32 but usually have to go with 34 due to my thighs. For instance my ridgeline are 34 are almost too tight in thighs. Yours always seem like you have plenty of room, so do you size up more in the waist or are my thighs just to damn big?

Love the new shirt/hat, is hat snap back or flex fit? I'm more of a flex fit guy. I'd like to see a hoodie with small LLOD logo in upper left chest area and full size back logo. I'm a big guy though so 3X, 4X would hopefully be available.
I love that design with the "I am the last line of defense" and the American flag. I'd pay anything for it
I have been wearing mine for about 2 weeks now. Love them they do run a little small that seems to be the standard for all of vertx pants. The whole use of the term tactical is getting blown way out of proportion. Tactical indicates they are built to withstand harsh use. I bought a pair of the fusion pants and 1 day on the range doing basic rifle work on grass resulted in a small tear and small wear marks from my rifle being slung and the muzzle rubbing on the pants. These pants fit more into the edc category and not the tactical category. Where these pants really stand out and I wish they were around when I was working overseas is for travel you could take 2 or 3 pairs of these fold them up nice and compact and put them in you pack to carry on. Would also make a great addition to a bug out bag if so inclined. I like the thicker material on the pockets so as not to wear out as fast due to clips on flashlights knives multi tools etc. Again great review. Be safe
Prana is an awesome brand. We have a Columbia employee store in Portland, OR and Prana jeans and apparel is becoming really popular here.
I switched to Prana jeans this last year and really like them with appendix carry. There is Nothing tactical about them though.

Hey man, I work in construction. I'm a carpenter. And I'm sick of the work pants I've been buying. Carhardt or similar. I like them because they have "ripstop" but I was thinking after watching your videos, for the money ($65-$75) I could get some of tactical pants type. Id like something that stretches and is a breathable material so I don't sweat to death but still won't rip or wear to easily. Anything like that on the market or should I just stick with what I use now? Thanks!

Great review as usual brother. I like a lot of the stuff you check out and review. About your logo,.......I think it looks alright , but it could a little better in the creative department , like maybe doing the 2 L's back to back with the O in the middle and the D laying flat on the top of them, or at the bottom turning it into a symbol, that's what makes the patches and insignia look cool. And have it in military colors and other colors. Maybe a little trim color with a main base color.

The shirts look really good. One recommendation I would make is to clean up the design a bit. Make it less busy. Maybe one shirt could focus more on the logo and another more on the text. Keep up the good work brother.
so of the pants you have tested...whats your favorite? I have a slim build, like 30-31 waist at 5'10". dont want overly baggy. This fit the bill?

The Deltra Stretch are more slim than these Hyde pants, but as far as sizing, they should be pretty close.
For the LLOD T-shirt you should put the logo on the right shoulder oriented with the stars faced forward, like on military uniforms and put like a Glock 19 or AR where the logo was originally or just no logo and center the wording and keep it simple. Also, some logo patches would be sick.
I personally don't care for shirts with big designs on the front. Prefer them on the back with maybe a small LLOD thingy over where the pocket would be.
Dude I love the hat!! I want one of those hats. Anything with the red white and blue I love. Especially on a trucker style hat. You should come out with a woodland camo version of that hat. Now that would be perfect for my taste since I am a camo lover.

Would it help to set the tripod height a little higher so you don't have to crouch down to stay better positioned in frame?

I'd consider it, but there are really so many factors that go into pants, and so many different preferences on them as well. For example, someone might think a pair of pants is way too baggy, while another person might think that the same pair of pants is too slim. One person might love cargo pockets and another person hates them. It'd be hard for me to give ratings on pants that wouldn't just be extremely bias towards exactly what I'm looking for in a pair of pants - which will inevitably differ from what most other people might look for.
That's fair and I agree with what you're saying. Don't sell yourself short though - we're all watching these videos for your opinion.
