- A gap year is an amazing way to discover yourself and have fun. So here are my 18 Gap Year Ideas. I personally done two gap years haha and spend my time travelling Asia and Australia and I worked 9 different jobs.
I highly encourage everyone to take a gap year because WHY NOT?! Go for it and have fun hehe

Traveling Gap Years look amazing but people, just know that if you can't travel this year due to COVID-19, you can still make the most of a stay at home Gap Year (work and make some money, volunteer in your local community, better your health, etc).

i have a question, where do people get the money to take a gap year and travel from? ive been considering taking one just because i don't know what i wanna do in life and also my parents can't comfortably afford college. i was thinking of traveling abroad to do some volunteer work or do one of those host family experiences while also earning money to pay for college but how do you even afford being able to do one of those volunteer programmes or go abroad?
Usually people save money before the gap year, for example a year before the gap year you could work at a cafe or something you can get a decent amount of money from then use that money on the gap year.

There are some web which let you stay in people homes in exchange of taking care of their pets or work in hostels etc ( surf coach, workaway, packtravellers) although it will not be full on traveling
@@joshuaaddicted201 I have the same problem :( in other countries is so common for teenagers and young people to start working in a part time job so it's easier for them to earn money. In my country gap years are viewed like the worst thing and it's not common at all
