I just watched the Senna autobiography movie on Blu-ray and Senna's a very unique driver. Not only his skills are among the best of the best (call it legendary if you will, he persevered with his gearbox stuck at 6 for the last few laps at the 1991 Brazilian GP), he also hates politics and money involved in F1 back then.
For those that didn't watch that movie, an interviewer asked him a question about the best teammate, and he threw himself all the way back to 1978-1980 when he left Brazil to compete in Europe for the first time in go-karting, and that person was named Fullerton.
He said "pure driving, pure racing, no money and no politics".
It's just too sad that it took Ayrton's death to force the FIA to improve F1 safety. And at the time the gimmick Williams put on their cars the year before got analysts deciding that Senna won't be able to eye on the championship for the year.
yeah that dude truly loves to race... and by doing and dying for that he became a legend!

The man who embodied (and still does) everything a racing driver should be. So sad that he is dead but such people as him rearly die old, in their beds.

Being able to win 5 years in a row at Monaco is a massive achievement, but consider this. If Senna had been more careful in 1988 and just cruised at a decent pace to win the race, he would have won 7 years in a row from 1987 to 1993. Absolutely insane when you think about it.
