Познавательно! Опять же, большую часть твоего флота можно рассмотреть.

И, кстати, я правильно понял, что профиль на швертах-рулях у тебя сегментный? А кромки острые или тупые?

      @VladimirUD  ปีที่แล้ว

@@nailsadykov8764 .

It looks like the rig would be unbalanced with center of effort so far back. But it seems to work well.
How about a leeboard or centerboard?

As I said in the video about rudders. I keep front one locked and partially down. So lateral resistance split between two boards - front and rear. By lowering and raising them I can move center of lateral resistance anywhere I want.
There is no need for additional boards.

@@chrisgrill6302 . In this case rear daggerboard works both as a rudder and as a daggerboard. It has a function of creating lift. It is large. Basically to steer the boat I balance both boards in such way that the boat sails in straight line and I use steering function of the rear one just for minuscule adjustments. The hull itself is flat bottomed and has a rocker. Meaning that it would spin around with little force applied if no boards down. So it steers nicely. Unlike a classic proa with deep narrow hull. If I have too much weather helm I just raise front board a little bit, until it balanced. If I raise the front board completely the boat will have a lee helm and it will fall off even without steering.
I hope this explanation is clear, if not it is better to ask the question in FB proa group so I could provide some drawings.

    Fresh thinking... Good stuff!
So, the way I get it is: for the CLR to be aft of CE as you mentioned in the comments below, since you said raising the front board, results in Leehelm....
You probably have to drive your rudder all the way down and sit aft of mid ship, correct?
My question is, how do you come ashore? and aren't you afraid running aground and breaking the rudder??

At the end of next posted video, called “winter sailing” I actually come ashore at the end of it. I just raise the front board just before I hit shallow water.
With two boards I have a huge flexibility to move CLR anywhere I want to. With rear board down and front up CLR will be behind of CE, with both boards down CLR will be ahead of CE. With front board down about 30% and rear all the way down I have CLR and CE balanced.
Being backwinded not a problem. Just raise rear board and wind will swing me around. Or. Another option - just steer with both rudders out of situation:) (Front rudder is normally locked)
And both boards will absorb a hit and pop out of cassette if hits comes. I talk about in this video.

@@VladimirUD Thanks, so you cleared the problem with the rudder, hat about your front board, it too can pop up on impact? even though the hull is behind it... Cool Stuff!

Well. The front one normally is raised 2/3 up, so there isn’t much area underwater. If it hits something it will absorb the shock and tilt, driving the hull up and over what ever it hit.
