Snoopy actually looked a lot smaller and a thinner head when he debuted on Peanuts comics in 1950. When he made his debut on television beginning in 1959, Snoopy became human-sized and was a tiny bit bigger than his normal look. Snoopy didn't receive his final look until 1965, but his head became fatter by the early-1970s.
