ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I have no attachment to this look for Beast; but I can't deny that this is still a decent figure. Like most of the Fan Channel stuff, it's not for everyone and that's okay
I really hope they rerelease blue Beast on a vintage card with the smiling face, glasses, and book.

The blue beast is my favourite but this gray beast really gives the feeling of the early days of the beast when he transformed in this feral form with its head I feel appropriated. Already have both but not opened them yet. Great review and thanks for comparing them all 3 alongside with Dark Beast
When Beast was a Averager he mostly has gray fur I believe so this Beast will go on my Avengers shelf.

I like it the smiling face. It is more like the 90's cartoon with the book and that's what I was wanting.
The best thing of this figure is the new head sculpt! A classic Beast face! It should have come with the blue version also!
Me. I'm thrilled for that head sculpt. Because the Beast I grew up with was the blue joking Beast of the Avengers. I prefer him silly and fun. Im hoping they repaint for an Avengers two pack with Safari jacket Wonderman. I doubt they will though.
The angry face sculpt is better for the grey Beast but the blue one is much better I think.

I saw this at my local TRU and picked up two, 1. Because I missed the blink in time where beast was sold in stores, and are now super rare here. And 2. Its a cheaper and less expensive fodder for customs. I plan on doing a blue paint job with the new head and modify and glue on the glasses.
I hope they re-release Beast with this facesculpt just blue lol that other one is ridiculously overpriced.

Why are most mutants blue? Beast, Nightcrawler, Mystique. Marvel must’ve got some blue people fetish.
It might be a printing and cost thing from wayyyyyy back in 60s or whenever. Hence the Hulk being Green instead of grey.
This is actually the Beast head I was hoping for (light-hearted George Pérez-inspired Avengers Beast), but I wish the figure was in blue.
My storage bins keep running outta space and I'm trying to be more picky with Legends, so while this Beast is cool, he isn't "astonishing enough" to triple up on.

I know the feeling, gotta be selective when space reduces, and you can't get rid of your old stuff cause you'd have to sell it for do cheap that you're better off keeping it

Just want to say that a a total noob at painting, I bought a black, dark blue and white acrylic crafts paint and able to customize this grey beast to look better than the retail blue beast. The only difficult part was making the belt.
The only other tools you need are
-2 brushes(one tiny ones for tiny details and one smallish one to slowly go over the figure)
-clear coat paint or spray paint(this is used after you are fully done the figure to seal it all)
-sandpaper(optional, I didn't use it and my figure came out looking good and the paint didn't come off but most people recommend it)
-some tape to mask off the inside of his mouth and later on his pants when you are painting his pants
Painting instructions (leave about an hour between each light coat)
-do multiple light layers of light blue(white and blue mixed together) over the whole beast figure
-do shading using the plain dark blue color on the tips of his long body hair and head hair
-do additional shading using black on his body hair and head hair
-use tiny paint brush or tooth pick to add white paint to his nails and eyes.
-make a belt using putty, I used a piece of paper to get the length around his waist and then sculpt around it. I painted it and it seems to be holding well.
-clear coat the whole figure.
Blue paint:$5 for 200ml(was way more than I needed tbh, I should have got a 59ml one)
White paint:$1 for 59ml
Black paint;:$1 for 59ml
Red: $1 for 59ml
Yellow: $1 for 59ml
Clear coat($9 for spray can)
Brushes set:$5
Tape:$1
Putty:$4
Total:$28($24 if I bought the smaller Blue paint).
It was a long process but the painting was very therapeutic feeling and the end result came out looking better than the retail figure. The last time I ever painted something was like 2 decades ago in grade school, so I am by no means a professional painter. If I can do this any one of you can. It
I was actually really thrilled for this figure, passed on the Jim lee beast love the new head sculpt.
This is the best action figure reviewer I find this so entertaining and its really funny when you do unboxing with your kids witch you should do more.
I got the few issues this color is based off of, I can't say I wanted one but once it was announced I was all for it. And after having it in hand I liked it even more. I know everyone wants a blue one but I'm glad they did release one, plus in the right light he has a blue tint

My ranking of all the marvel legends beast mold: 3 Grey Beast, I don’t like any of the head sculpts, and the glasses suck, 2 blue beast, I love the figure, just not as much as 1 Dark Beast, such a badass looking figure based off my favorite Comic Book series of all time, as a kid I used to work for HOURS going from door to door asking people if they had anything I could do for 4 bucks, just so 6 year old me could afford the Age Of Apocalypse series, so do guess you could say I have a deeper “connection” to that figure and that is why it’s my favorite

I wanted the blue version but I haven't collected Marvel Legends figures at that time and now they are very expensive. That's why I got the grey version. I hope they will release another blue version as well.

Well according to the book Marvel Comics: The Untold Story, grey Beast was heavily implied to have become "hip to the trip" if you know what I mean. Spending his down time reading a good book and listening to Stevie Wonder records after smoking a fat J. That would explain the grin on his face. 👍

Yeah there’s no way im gonna pay 85 bucks for something that was 20 bucks. I mean yeah it’s awesome but I’d rather settle for the grey variant than the og blue that’s way overpriced.
Grey beast is best beast... He was never supposed to be Blue his original transformation was to black but they couldn't show black as a color so he was just blue and eventually they said hey he is blue now.
I like him blue honestly. It’s unique for a werewolf-type guy.
never saw the blue beast in the wild and refuse to pay secondary market prices I saw grey beast and was well as close as I'm probably gonna get.
I hope they make a figure of some of the deadpool corps like kid deadpool and panda pool even though we already lady pool and head pool.
Maybe if you see thru the glasses the book shows something different...like a hidden message....maybe. maybe that was the real value of the figure... just maybe. 😄
The glasses are meant to just hold, not to put on. And too bad that Hasbro didn't include a second head sculpt for the Blue Beast like this one did 😞. Other than that, I like the Gray Beast! I would've liked to have both the Blue and Gray Beasts, but I missed out and now I'm gonna have to pay triple times the amount that it cost 💰. So, I'm gonna have to do some shopping around on eBay or Amazon for one then? 💸
If you put the kingpin arms and the lizard lab coat you can make a lab coat for a smart beast. PLEASE DEMONSTRATE!

I just picked this figure up. It was on clearance at GameStop. So, naturally, I had to watch this again. People raved about the blue Beast. It made a lot of people's annual top ten. Aside from the color, it's the same figure. So it can be nothing less than great too. You're just disappointed because its only a repaint and they didn't give you a new figure.
But this version has 2 heads while the blue beast only has one + book + glasses

I painted the blue beast gray to match my cat, basically making an action figure of my cat. I never knew there was an actual gray Beast. It pretty much came out looking like that. :)
I bought it and kind of regret it. It doesn't fill a need in my collection and I'm not a fan of the body mold. It's not terrible but his torso has limited range of posibility and I feel the feet should be larger. The "happy head" is how he looked when he was on the Avengers, paling around with Wonder Man, except he was blue.
Did anyone notice that he changed the head of the grey beast without even mentioning it?
