Please review the new 13.3" Chromebooks (Samsung 2 & Toshiba)!! Just sold my Samsung cause I need a bigger display but not sure which to choose as a replacement.
I really appreciate your work. This is how real reviews should be .. detailed, thorough, and focused on the product rather than the reviewer. One of the top reviewers on youtube hands down! and my personal favorite. Thank you :)
Daniel Nwosu damn lol. I'm using my Galaxy tab s2 9.7 to watch this. my tab 4 broke because my roommates baby grabbed it off my kitchen counter and it wouldn't charge.
I think 8" is a really good sized tab. Very thorough and well done review. If I may suggest however, slow down your speech just a bit. I'm American and it comes across really fast to me, and to foreigners, must be like light speed. Other than that, well done.
I don't think anyone should care about the camera on a tablet. It seems like the least important thing. Most people probably have either a smartphone, actual camera or both. How many do you need lol.
Yeah I don't get why they stick cameras on tablets. I have an actual camera for photo taking-it's a 4 year old Panasonic Lumix but it does the job. I feel silly whipping the tablet out to take a picture.. LOL
I'm getting mine tomorrow. I just wanted to see and the learn some of the things to expect. Boy! I got much more! Great review! A lot of reviewers were taking this tablet and seemed very bias. But you gave a well balanced review. Kudos! Going to subscribe as well.
Thank you for the help and explanation, I could not find a decent review of the tab 4. I appreciate the video and I already return the Tab 4 7" and I just ordered the 8" model. Thank you so much :)
I just ordered the 8 inch screen. Also, I know you were trying to cover a lot of data in a limited amount of time--but you will be easier to understand, if you slow down your rate of speech. Good review.
Can't really beat this at $240. I'm loving mine so far, the screen is the perfect size for me. Camera isn't an issue (I have a REAL camera), SD slot is awesome, IR is great for my home setup (complicated), battery life isn't bad at all. The WiFi speed is awesome too; streaming has virtually no stutters on both Netflix and WatchESPN. 1280x800 is plenty good enough for the screen and saves on the battery life and GPU consumption, making gaming quite nice. Hopefully more apps are taking advantage of all 4 cores these days considering they are becoming a standard. I haven't really noticed anything being slow.
I got the 7" tab because I wanted something small I could carry around, do grocery list, take notes on the go, etc. I also play emulators on it and wanted to connect it to the TV and then get a Bluetooth gamepad. I found out months after buying it that it does not have USB or HDMI connection capability which is huge. I've been told all but the 7" has those features...that's something you missed that I think should have been included. I plan on switching to the 8" version and look into one of those camera lens attachments for tablets to see if I can get better distance photos.
Thank you for the video, it helps in making a decision between the Fire tablet and the Samsung. 8'0 will work well for me. I currently have a 7' Samsung with OS Froyo. Time to update.
I remember I wanted this tablet so much after my cousin got one as part as getting a bank account at a local bank, I even went there, to make an account, but Couldn't since I was too young or something. A couple of months later, I got a Dell Venue 8 3830, loved that tablet.
Still very glad with this tablet for non-intensive use, pretty snappy and plays streaming content great. The screen looks great even being 720p. Updated oficially to Lollipop 5.1.1 a few months ago. No complaints at all.
Hello Mike,, it's Daniel once again, and on November 30th, I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 with the 16GB of user memory, in black, and to be perfectly honest, I like this Tab very much. OK, it's not the Galaxy Tab 8.4 with the higher resolution, which I could have gotten, because when I bought this tab, it was on the cyber-Monday sale week before the holidays, and the 8.4 was also on sale like the 8.0 both running for $199.00 at Best Buy. I wanted to obtain this Tablet in white also, but they were sold out of the white, so yeah, I went with the black. And like I said in my comment about the Galaxy Mega 6.3, doesn't matter the color of the device to me, just as long that it does it's job for me, that's pretty much all I worry about. And thus far, that's exactly what this tab has done since I had it, which was almost a month and a half. I always learn a little extra from your videos, and it helps me greatly to use my devices a lot easier and more efficiently. Thank you.
Excellent Video !! Kudos on such brilliant presentation. I would prefer 8inch undoubtedly. I am planning on buying this tab 4. quick question, what tablet are you using and what do you use it for primarily. Thanks
i am considering to buy the 7 inch model but what exactly do you mean the performance is worse than on the 8 inch version? also the touchwiz issue you have mentioned a bit? regards
Just a little info for you. Today I bought this tablet in black color and for my surprise charger and USB cable is white. So it isn't fault in your package in black charger.
This is my first time visiting your channel... and I had to say Subscribe! Well done sir; I like your style of reviewing- very clear and easy to follow. You can count on me coming back to see more of your videos. Keep up the great work (BTW I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and a Galaxy S5)
I just switched over to a tab 4 8.0 from my outdated iPad 1st gen(stuck on ios5). I would go back to it in a heart beat. The tab 4, in my case, is great cause it's got apps I can actually use. But other than that, ease of use, button location, plastic/lightweight design don't help. The overall package is nice, but it's nothing compared to an iPad.
Thank you for the very helpful review. I'm upgrading from a Coby Kyros. I'm not going to speak badly about it, but you get what you pay for. I wanted something that allowed me to access the google play store. This has way more everything, than I realized. I will be buying next week, and I'm going to get this one.
Hey Mike! Great video as always, Besides having Iphone 5s as your daily driver and digging the GS5 and the gear combo , do you also find the M8 a great choice? Hoping you could answer this :D and as always thanks for making this informative videos for people to decide what will best bang for the buck for their money.
Can you put the details of the wall adapter into the specs? I've mismatched a bunch of the ones I have and wanted to verify the correct wall adapter to use with this tablet. Thank you.
Excuse my ignorance but I have just purchased this tablet and am really enjoying it so far. However, when I type on the google button I don't get apps - just a search. Can u help?
A very well done review. I have been struggling on deciding between the reviewed tablet and an iPad Mini 2. I really like what I have seen here. Just a couple of questions I have. Does this have GPS? If I took this tab on the road and used it at a WIFI hot spot it would be nice to show my location on Google Maps. Will this tab run Amazon Prime video either through an app or web browser? Will HULU also run on this? Thanks again for such a thorough review.
I feel the same way. I have the golden/brown one. I like it. It's like they downgraded, they took away one speaker and changed a lot of things. Some people like it though.
im actually researching 10 inch or higher tablets because i am looking for a labtop replacement. so with that in mind i would have to say 10 inch, but for regular user the 8 inch perfect.
Great review. I strongly prefer the 8. I am trying to decide on an 8 to buy. I don't need super high end but like the display on tab pro. Should I wait for the new nexus 8? Mike, do you like touchwiz or would you rather a nexus with straight android?
Nice video I like all of your vids I just have 1 question DetroitBorg what is the phone that you use daily or your daily driver? Please reply if you can and thank you!
Would you recommend this tablet over an ipad mini? I'm using android phones for years now but i tested an ipad mini and i notice that ios seems to work more smooth. It seems like android is not quite there yet.
I might get this. Me and my dad just got back from best buy and I thought the note 10.1 was cool but it was too expensive. I have about $180 right now so hopefuly I get enough money from my family graduation party tommorow
Can you suggest any other 8 inch tablet around the same price bracket that has a better screen and speaker quality ?? Software and other stuffs aren't too important for me.
I you already have the tab3 8 in and is working fine for you then stick with it. If you do not have either tab go with the tab4 8.0 the latest. I don't care much for cameras on tabs or on smart phones all I care about is if the software is working, smoothness, display, weight, connectivity with devices and network and battery power. I have the tab 4 8in and its fast and smooth so far all the apps are cooperating. The battery power is excellent over 9 hrs of power. Excellent range with the WiFi and blue tooth. I use the blue tooth headset and the sound is clear and at a decent range. The mic is also a big plus as no issue hearing my voice I haven't tried is with the blue tooth yet.
The display on the Tab A really doesn't look that bad, and if you're using it for work/school mostly, it's well suited for that. But for the same price, you can find other brands with displays that blow this out of the water.
Great review. I think the 8 inch would be good for me. I got a cheap-o off brand 7 inch with some rewards points and the screen size is not big enough. The 10 inch, although I have a large purse, would be too big for portability for me.
Hello. Great review and lots of details. I'm sadly behind the times on new technology and have a question about this device. I have movies on my computer (m4v files) and want to play them on this device. Is that possible? I would like to know before I purchase. Is there a better device for something like that? Thanks for your help!
Honestly, isn't the tab 3 a better device? I just got the 4 yesterday and I'm noticing that it lost a lot of features vs the tab 3. I'm going to get my tab 3 back...This was a waste of an update. What was the point?
My honest opinion: I actually prefer the Tab 3 7.0 over this new one. Why? Because, as I see it, the Tab 3 7.0 has better speaker(s), the ambient light sensor, it has better microphones AND it's easier to hold in my opinion. I like the slim sides on the new one (more on that later), yes, and I hate the glossy hyperglaze, yes. But some times I want big sides so I have more area to hold the tablet and not cause unwanted screen input, like on the ancient Tab 1 10.1 which has huge bezels to hold with your hands; that's very comfortable on my hands, anyway, and on this new Tab 4, I have big fingers and probably would constantly cause inputs on the screen that I don't want. The Tab 3 barely fits my fingers as it is, and this one seems worse. Would I sell it to upgrade to the new one? Yeah, maybe, but, he says that Touchwiz is slow. That was the case on Android 4.1.2 on a stock Tab 3. On my particular Tab 3, I modded it to run Android 4.2.2 from its 4.1.2, and Touchwiz never skips a beat, except when switching apps. That's the only weak point on the 1.2 GHz D-C processor... I would still take the iPad Mini with Retina Display over this new tablet. I would really only recommend the new one to people new to Android, or are desperate for an upgrade from the VERY poultry 8 GB of storage to 16. I would still take the tab 3 8.0 as an upgrade to this over the Tab 3 10.1, or all the Tab 4s in general at this point.
Its now like 70 dollars more for the 8 inch version than the 7 inch. I didn't know an extra inch cost that much. And the specs of both otherwise are the same. I really don't understand why that is. I'd say charge maybe an extra 30$ bumping the price up to 230$ or something not 270$. Currently I am still happy with my tab 2 7.0 running CM 11. How does the speaker stack up against the tab 2 7.0?
I know this question is coming so let me get it out of the way, yes I have my Sony Xperia Z2 on the way and a review will follow closely!
Now I don't gotta ask!
Phew. I was starting to get concerned. :-)
Please review the new 13.3" Chromebooks (Samsung 2 & Toshiba)!!
Just sold my Samsung cause I need a bigger display but not sure which to choose as a replacement.
Hi Detroitborg im your biggest fan!can you subscribe to me?!
10 inch is the perfect size for me Mike!
I really appreciate your work.
This is how real reviews should be .. detailed, thorough, and focused on the product rather than the reviewer.
One of the top reviewers on youtube hands down! and my personal favorite.
Thank you :)
Have to schedule out time for ***** videos, the thoroughness is just crazy! Awesome work as usual Mike!
Thanks Tomas, appreciate the support :)
watching this on tab 4
😯
Awesome vid. I'm typing this in my tab 4 8.0 and I've had it for two years now.
Daniel Nwosu has it reduced in speed or is it laggy
Daniel Nwosu damn lol. I'm using my Galaxy tab s2 9.7 to watch this. my tab 4 broke because my roommates baby grabbed it off my kitchen counter and it wouldn't charge.
Just bought this. Can't wait for it to be delivered!! #SamsungGalaxyTab4

Well when I was a little kid I didn’t have any camera so I used it a lot on my tab 4 10.1
@@404HandleNotFound Because it's helpful, what if they want to video call?
I'm getting mine tomorrow. I just wanted to see and the learn some of the things to expect. Boy! I got much more! Great review! A lot of reviewers were taking this tablet and seemed very bias. But you gave a well balanced review. Kudos! Going to subscribe as well.

Just won a Galaxy Tab 4 at my company Christmas Party last night. I use your video to learn how to use it.
I just ordered the 8 inch screen. Also, I know you were trying to cover a lot of data in a limited amount of time--but you will be easier to understand, if you slow down your rate of speech. Good review.

You did a petty good job, I like your reviews.

IRIE4IPIER so you say quad core 1.2 ghz cpu is better than dual core 1.5 cpu? Lol
IRIE4IPIER so you say quad core 1.2 ghz cpu is better than dual core 1.5 cpu? Lol
I am definitely getting this cause if things don't work out my next book tablet I'll replace it with a Samsung tablet
im actually researching 10 inch or higher tablets because i am looking for a labtop replacement. so with that in mind i would have to say 10 inch, but for regular user the 8 inch perfect.
Great review. I strongly prefer the 8. I am trying to decide on an 8 to buy. I don't need super high end but like the display on tab pro. Should I wait for the new nexus 8? Mike, do you like touchwiz or would you rather a nexus with straight android?

Thanks Greg! I primarily use an iPhone 5s, I'm actually a big fan of the GS5 righ now as well, especially with Gear.
Thank you I just recently got the note 3 and I like it do you use a tablet daily if so what do you mostly use?
Would you recommend this tablet over an ipad mini? I'm using android phones for years now but i tested an ipad mini and i notice that ios seems to work more smooth. It seems like android is not quite there yet.
I might get this. Me and my dad just got back from best buy and I thought the note 10.1 was cool but it was too expensive. I have about $180 right now so hopefuly I get enough money from my family graduation party tommorow
I know you compared the benchmark scores to the tab pro and ipad mini, but how does it compare to the tab 3 8 inch?
Ambient light sensor is something every device should have.
I COME HERE FROM FUTURE TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE NOW FAMOUS.
Can you suggest any other 8 inch tablet around the same price bracket that has a better screen and speaker quality ?? Software and other stuffs aren't too important for me.
How long did you charge the tablet the first time to get it to its fullest charge?
I you already have the tab3 8 in and is working fine for you then stick with it. If you do not have either tab go with the tab4 8.0 the latest. I don't care much for cameras on tabs or on smart phones all I care about is if the software is working, smoothness, display, weight, connectivity with devices and network and battery power. I have the tab 4 8in and its fast and smooth so far all the apps are cooperating. The battery power is excellent over 9 hrs of power. Excellent range with the WiFi and blue tooth. The display on the Tab A really doesn't look that bad, and if you're using it for work/school mostly, it's well suited for that. But for the same price, you can find other brands with displays that blow this out of the water.
So this is exactly the same as the SM-T330NU model?
I still have this tablet and it’s still running 😂
Same, watching it on it now
@@braanch same
I actually like this tab I think I'm gonna buy it
Great review! :)
I say paperwork in my day to day life, but prefer when you say literature in your videos. Bring back literature!
Hi Mike I love your videos
So I have the Galaxy S5, is it worth buying this also? Or should I just stick with the phone.
I honestly think that the 10 inch screen is perfectly because it's not to heavy but also not too small.
Great review!
When will they release note8.0 2014 edition? Im waiting for the newer version of note 8.0
How does this compare to the apple ipad mini without the retina display?
Honestly, isn't the tab 3 a better device? I just got the 4 yesterday and I'm noticing that it lost a lot of features vs the tab 3. I'm going to get my tab 3 back...This was a waste of an update. What was the point?
What's it like reading magazine articles on the Tab 4 8.0?
Great review, i will buy that next month :/
***** Yes, it's a great item.
Is that true, the back and recent app soft button doesnt have any lighting?
I can see in the dark.
Can u tell me how I find my clipboard. I saved some stuff to it but can't find it to see the pics.
Galaxy Tab 4's CPU is a Snapdragon 400, as they were saying?
Can I use a pen for taking notes in this tablet ? And what kind of pen ?
Dude that really did beat the i pad mini and tab 3 its 8 mega pixel camera looks coolin the tab 3 it was 5 :D
Please buy the oppo find 7a and make a video please I beg you!!!!
Do you sale any of these items? If so how can i buy one off you?
where you bought the tablet that can not go to buy
wonder how they gonna handle the updates for so many devices or the owners of these devices don't expect an update at all
Well, Samsung itself doesn't expect to update them. For example, they have denied the KitKat update to the galaxy s3 international version.

Yes, I'm still working on getting my hands on one, but I think I have an invite to use.
