Great video guys, a body is a body and it's beautiful whatever size, shape or colour, don't aim to look like anyone other than the best version of you.
Well said! My mom has struggled with body image most of her adult life and I'm constantly trying to remind her that it's about loving yourself and honouring your body with healthy food and an active lifestyle BECAUSE you love yourself and want to take care of your body, not because you want to look like the person on a magazine. Thanks for making this!
Best video I've seen in months. Not only because of the message but because it's obvious that you actually care about people. Thank you, that makes you special to us!
Thank you X I'm a 14 year old girl, I go to the gym around twice a week and work out too... I'm still overweight and it is really hard... I'm still trying my best to lost weight bit more than that, I'm just trying hard to be happier and healthier than I used to be!
Well said!! We totally agree. It starts with loving your self first! We had a long journey to get there, but now that we are there we get to help other girls love their bodies too! Thanks for talking about this!!
I love this discussion. I see so many people close to me fall into dysmorphia and I wish I could convince them otherwise but media always convinces them that something about them is not acceptable. When will people value their own self-validation other than seeking the validation of peers or people who really dont matter to their lives.
Until you mentioned it in the video, I didn't even really think about why I felt bad the last few months. I got trouble with friends who said I changed completely... I started doing sports at the beginning of this year and couldn't be good enough, not for others, all the time the problem was my way of thinking about I am unhappy with how I looked . You absolutely changed my mind in only ten minutes. A really big thanks to both of you, keep up the good work. Lots of love from Germany
loved this video. i am female... and i weight 209 pounds, I am doing exercise and eating clean now, i am doing my work although i am a heart patient since i born... but still when people judge u and call u fat, without knowing what u r going thru, and u strugging too... but they pass a comment becauses i dont have 36-24-36 figure, thigh gap, visible collar bone etc. I can't lift because doctor said not to, its my condition, yet i over-hear people saying, shes not gonna lose weight till she lifts... etc anyways, I am trying and i am certain i will lose weight, may be not as quick as those who lift, but if am consistent, then ofcourse i am going to lose it. thank you, ur video lifted my mood up a lot.
this video makes me so so happy omg, i can't stress how glad i am that you put this up. people actually suffer from mental illnesses etc because of the pressures of society these days, it's so awful, but really you're so inspirational omg i even teared up a few times during this video ahaha what am i like! but yeah thank you thank you thank you for getting this message out!
Well done Leon on this video, body dysmorphia (especially in men) is not touched upon enough and you have explained it so well. There are a variation of ED's now and bigorexia is rarely mentioned. Let's hope this really helps some people suffering this to get help and pull through!
That was one of the most informative and motivational videos I have seen in a long time, you hit every point and just that short 10 minute video is going to help so many people including myself.Your channel has helped so many people and I always look forward to the next video.Thank you for being there for us all, I hope you realise what you do for us.
Thank you! It has taken me so many years to appreciate that my strong body is a good body. My belly still jiggles but poke me in the quads or triceps and you'll break your bloody finger! 😁
I literally just finished watching the programme about bigorexia on bbc and this popped up in my subscriptions! this is such a good message you're putting across, I feel like too many people who deal with different types of body image disorders don't get enough recognition or help from people like you, so thank you for talking about it Leon xx
This is such an amazing video! Thanks guys. I personally am so insecure about myself and my body, I've lost a lot of weight over the last year. But I'm still so obsessed with how much I eat, exercise etc... This video has really helped me think about things on a different level. Thanks guys :)
I absolutely love this video. You're such a thoughtful person Leon. I'm glad that you can share it with others and can actually remind us that this social media and mass media perfectionism is not worth much! Thank you.
This is the reason why I love you guys, this is the reason why I've been subscribed for 2 years now. Y'all don't beat around the bush nor do you guys try to shove dogma down our throats. This was very informative and I hope this helps a lot of people. I'm sharing.
wow, that was just what I needed to hear today. Sometimes I get so frustrated when I look myself in the mirror, no matter what my family, boyfriend or friends say...thank you guys x
Great message guys! Finally a fitness channel is acting responsible by emphasizing the way that your body looks (big or small) doesn't say anything about you as a person!
I'm an underweight guy and have been struggling for months at gym with little progress and this video made me feel so more positive and motivated I now understand we should just keep giving it our best and shouldn't care what ppl say it just takes time. Thank you so much guys are always neglected in these topics.
Leon, you're an amazing person. Both you and John are huge inspirations to me. 😊 I also dont want to be huge, i wanna be lean like you "the lean machines" 😜 i dont care about lifting a lot of weight. I just care about lifting my own body weight so I can do pull ups and other calisthenic and gymnastic exercises
Well Done Leon! This topic is not talked about enough in my opinion - bigger isn't necessarily better and having abs that show doesn't really mean much at the end of the day. All that matters to me nowadays is if I am improving - am I getting stronger and able to do things I couldn't do before, like a pull up. And I'm glad that you also focused on men in this video - I would be the first to admit that being a girl in the gym has its advantages. I'm not really compared to anyone else, no one is ever looking at me expecting me to be bigger or do more than I actually can. I'm allowed to focus on myself without the expectations and the body image issues of others pushed on me. I am who I am and I get left alone enough that I have grown to love myself and the body that I have. Thanks for this video!
I really want to meet you!!!! I feel like our thoughts are 110% aligned, videos are amazing!!!! I shared it all over facebook but will be sharing it on my facebook fitness page too (: love this!
So very well said. Society can impose ridiculous standards, which creates so many different mental problems and in the end of the day you are not happy, you wake up and don't like yourself which is the worst thing anybody can do. Your life gets around this 'problem' and trying to change - you are not living a life at fullest, not enjoying anything and you even may get depressed and harm yourself. Guys just one big WELL DONE, you are obviously not just PT but you are promoting mental health and living a life at fullest and having fun on the way :P
This is a great message. I personally feel really insecure when I see this big guys even though they're trying to inspire and help people get big. I connect a lot better with you two than them. You're honest, realistic and genuinely wants to help. To me at least.
Hey Leon, I'm slowly but surely making my way through all of your videos, and I can honestly say this is one of the best videos I've seen in months. You can really see that you (& John) care about getting the right message across to as many people as possible. If I ever come across someone that is feeling a bit low or looking for motivation I send them straight to your page. Thank you so much.
That was really well said Leon. I couldn't agree more and it was great to see your concern expressed for other through the passion vigour you spoke with. You guys give something extra to your channel with these type of videos really making the a cut above the rest. It shows you guys honestly have big hearts and I just want to say thank you for sharing, you're really making a difference. Big love :) xx
Awesome message. Glad to see someone is tackling this subject with brutal honesty. Shame the media doesn't do the same at present time. Another reason why I love your channel, using your talents and passion for fitness to promote a happier lifestyle! Please keep it up!
Wonderful video. Have gone and am probably still going through this myself. And it truly is very dependent on the company you keep and type of gym you go to. Thankfully common sense often kicks in to help. Props for the video!
Thanks so much for chatting about this! I feel like this is a guy's version of the 'Size 0' in some ways and that makes me very sad. For many it's an unattainable 'ideal' pushed on them by society. I wish more people focused on health! And the fact young lads are taking steroids terrifies me. Most will be doing it behind their family/friends backs and I remember listening to Ben Coomber's podcasts all about them - there's SO much research and side effects to take into consideration, it's terrifying to think many will just be taking them without knowing all about that.
I know this is a less recent video, but it really hit home for me, in sports I feel pressure to look a certain way and be a certain weight etc. so It makes me look at myself a certain way, and I totally agree with all the stuff you said, even if I'm still working to practice it.
Thanks for making this sort of videos guys, really love it. You guys aren't just physical lean machines, you're definitely gym trainers for the mind and soul for many out there. Truly inspirational. :) For me, I workout to get fit after realising that i struggled with even 20 pushups after a long couch potato kind of holiday. I know I look a little different today, though I'm still skinnier than and not as muscular as John, I love the progress I'm making. I wouldn't wanna be huge, but would wanna look better and I totally agree with you guys in this videos. Love you guys, thanks so much again.
I love you guys. I'm in Australia and think you're both so inspiring. I've lost 20 kilos and started to build muscle and there are days where I literally feel as big as I did 7 years ago. It's so bizarre isn't it? This video is lovely. Well done. xx
After watching this the other day i decided to take a new look on going to the gym! As a teenager going to the gym on a regular basis and eating clean, I have now decided to set myself a goal not to look at someone and want to be as good as them or to want look like them, to instead do the best i can and to set small realistic goals. Remembering not jumping ahead of small milestones as most people have been working on their bodies and health for years. I look at you all for insparation to keep it up and to do my best! Thank you!
What a great message. I no longer care about what i look like in the mirror but rather how I feel and how strong I have become in the gym. I've had an eating disorder and people say I'm skinny and they envy my body but when I look down I just see fat on my stomach and thighs... I'm so close to starting to work out to get rid of it but then I know that the Eating Disorder clinic will make me go back full time again because I'm already starting to loose weight. (I just can't eat) I don't know what to do if I'm honest and I think its body dismorphia

I love these videos it changes my positivity about the day just by watching it please keep these videos coming! Every video and everything you can can help snap someone out of thinking shitty about themselves
Wow! Can relate to everything you are saying! I used to be over 200 lbs with a binge eating disorder, and I would look in the mirror and hate everything about the way I look. This was so great. I've been catching myself actively avoiding the mirror because I've put on some weight recently, and I realize it's such a damaging way of thinking. I've definitely been feeling the external pressure too to slave away at the gym, so I've promised myself to take a walk every day as a minimum, since I enjoy them and it'll get me moving even if I don't feel like going to the gym 6 times a week. Here here, tough work having a family and working full time and having an image to protect, our own genetics are what they are, train when you can, eat healthily if you can, but do not expect the impossible, be as good as you can be, not as good as the top models or superstars who have perfect genetics, PT's at their beconning call and meals prepared for them.
Great video guys, a body is a body and it's beautiful whatever size, shape or colour, don't aim to look like anyone other than the best version of you.

Truly inspirational words, and keep trying to get through to her. Thank you for watching.
Leon - this video is epic. Literally agreed with everything that came out your mouth. Preach!
Best video I've seen in months. Not only because of the message but because it's obvious that you actually care about people. Thank you, that makes you special to us!
Aww thank you
Amazing words!kinda sufferring from this and got your point!
What a great video...love you and John..and your Carly is a fabulous role model for us too..always look forward to Sunday..xx
Thank you X I'm a 14 year old girl, I go to the gym around twice a week and work out too... I'm still overweight and it is really hard... I'm still trying my best to lost weight bit more than that, I'm just trying hard to be happier and healthier than I used to be!
your Chanel is my biggest motivation ♥ I love you guys
Well said!! We totally agree. It starts with loving your self first! We had a long journey to get there, but now that we are there we get to help other girls love their bodies too! Thanks for talking about this!!
I haven't come across a channel that speaks so much truth since I started training a decade ago. You're a role model to young people mate
I love this discussion. I see so many people close to me fall into dysmorphia and I wish I could convince them otherwise but media always convinces them that something about them is not acceptable. When will people value their own self-validation other than seeking the validation of peers or people who really dont matter to their lives.
Good for you for filming this - so good to be bringing attention to such an important and prevalent problem!
The most real video I've seen in a very long time! Leon's speaking so many truths! Keep it going brother
This is brilliant guys,
Completely changed my thoughts on how people think about there bodies
Until you mentioned it in the video, I didn't even really think about why I felt bad the last few months. I got trouble with friends who said I changed completely...

This is such a great message coming from the right person! This means a lot to me, personally, and I can only admire how brave and honest Leon is!
This is so amazing and bringing attention to such an important issue.
wow, that was just what I needed to hear today. Sometimes I get so frustrated when I look myself in the mirror, no matter what my family, boyfriend or friends say...thank you guys x
This really is a great video discussing very important issues!

One of the most genuine and inspiring videos I've seen.
I struggle with this every single day and the way you put it makes me feel so much more inspired to appreciate what I have! Thank you xxxx
That is so lovely to hear that it helped Emily. Keep on pushing through
I cannot agree more!

Thank you Simon for your words and supporting the channel. Our job is to be honest and say what we think, media have to be careful with their words
Great video! Very informative and gives a great perspective on the horrible trends going around at the moment. Good on you.
Wonderful video. Have gone and am probably still going through this myself. And it truly is very dependent on the company you keep and type of gym you go to. Thankfully common sense often kicks in to help. Props for the video!
What an excellent message to send out into the world. Nice work!
Loved this vid, i don't usually comment but the msg here just struck a chord with me. Keep up the great channel and videos!!

After watching this the other day i decided to take a new look on going to the gym!

Remembering not jumping ahead of small milestones as most people have been working on their bodies and health for years. I look at you all for insparation to keep it up and to do my best!
Thank you!
Love this video, people need to take notes!
couldn't agree more, massive respect! x
Such a great and powerful message thank you for sharing
I love this approach to fitness and inspiration! Thanks guys!
What a great message. I no longer care about what i look like in the mirror but rather how I feel and how strong I have become in the gym. Everyone has different genetics, background, support system, and many various factors, we should never compare ourselves to anyone else. :-) Life is too beautiful and too complex to just think about looking certain way :-)
Really liked how spontaneous and real this video was. So many good points like how some people have formed the idea that the more jacked a trainer is, the better they are which is unfortunate. I think it's evident in which people do have the right mindset and are in it for the right reasons as they stick with it, compared to those who get motivated for a bit then quit and repeat that process

thank you so much for the courage that you gave me.. you are unbelievable kind and inspiring
I really needed to hear this today. Thank you ❤️
Struggled for a long time with body image problems was never diagnosed as I kept it to myself but as a 13/14 year old girl i wish I could have seen this video while I was struggling a few years ago as it was so helpful x
Honestly this video must be shared as this is incredibly true and everyone must love themselves
Love this video! This channel deserves so many more subscribers
God this was refreshing. Top stuff fellas, calling the superficial dogma for what it is.
Top notch mate. Fantastic video x
your rants are the best!!
Another great video. Such a positive message!
I love these videos it changes my positivity about the day just by watching it please keep these videos coming! Every video and everything you can can help snap someone out of thinking shitty about themselves
So true...we need to balance
Wow! Can relate to everything you are saying! I used to be over 200 lbs with a binge eating disorder, and I would look in the mirror and hate everything about the way I look. After working my butt off for 4 years, I lost 80 lbs, gained a ton of muscle, drank every type of kool-aid the fitness industry had to offer, trained for a figure competition, got myself down to 15% body-fat, and I STILL look in the mirror and hate what I see. One day, I hated the fact that I couldn't go to a public beach because I was to fat to wear a bathing suit in public, now I stay awake at nights worrying about the fact that my quads aren't developing into perfect teardrops. The way people view me has changed, but am I a happier person? TBD...
Thank you for this, it really helped.
It sounds very much like you recognise certain bad or damaging habits that could lead you down a bad pathway but you are tackling them and stopping that feeling growing, that's huge well done.
This is so fantastic this video John and Leon
Honest and inspirational video, well done for putting across such an important message!
You are a legend Joanna
Omg, this video is so true. I'm 23 years old girl who loves to lift and I feel like every girl in my gym wants to have bigger muscles and be very lean because they want to look like bikini competitors. I know it's so much better than the anorexia trend, girls at least eat. However, they're also obsessing about macros every single day, eat clean, talk about the gym all day and I totally agree that the new ED and body image disorder is coming. I love passionate and motivated girls but there's so much more in the life than lifting weights and weighting all food. Great video! Please, keep filming them.
Could not agree more, everyone should have a healthy relationship with training not an obsessive one
This video was amazing guys, keep up the great work! 👍🏼
This is a great video and thank you so much for saying this
Great Video Guys!!! 😊.. Very well said Leon. I agree with everything that he said.. Everyone is beautiful no matter what size, age, height, etc.
True that!!!
Thanks for spreading awareness! great video man
Loved this vid bro, a great message and very honest! Keep it up.
