    I have to comment on this video. This is by far, the most CLEAR, CONCISE, PERFECT explanation on aromaticity. You hit the mark on everything.

      and satisfies Huckel's Rule (2. 6, 10, 14 etc..)- while saliently recognizing that rings with lone pairs can contribute and therefore establish aromaticity, as illustrated by all the aromatics on the bottom row of rings on his whiteboard..

    Conjugation is e.g when 3 p orbitals join together into a larger “pi system”, Conjugation: Special stability associated with three or more adjacent, parallel, overlapping p orbitals, resulting in increased electron delocalization and longer electron wavelengths.. The different arrangements of electrons within that “pi system” are called resonance forms.

    In case of Pyridine , the lone pair on Nitrogen is out of the plane of the ring, so, it cannot take part in Resonance.

    he didn't talk about cyclooctan 1,3,5,7 tetraene . very important. we think it is anti aromatic but it's actually non aromatic as it has a tub shape. But excellent explanation. Thank you professor !
