I feel like the most missed or just not understood line is "never thought justice would come from a judge under a seat." Taurus judge, one of the most fun pistols to shoot.
I didn't realize it was the name of a gun, but I certainly got the meaning: "justice....from a judge under the seat," was the gun he was taking in with him. Judge, jury, and executioner.

Best way to insure that stir doesn’t happen again. Had a similar situation in college. Didn’t end it like this but the guy spent 3 weeks in ICU drinking jello through a straw. He quit school and left the country after that.
From the brief glimpse of the "Judge under his seat", it looks as though he's referencing a Taurus Raging Judge 513SS6 model revolver. It can chamber both .45 Colt rounds as well as .410 shotgun shells, that's the "Judge" she sings in the chorus...I think there are 12 different models of Judge revolvers, they're a damn good sidearm to have when the situation calls for the use of a weapon...🤘🏻🇺🇸
I like how you said, "As a man, when you see something like that, you got one instinct..." That is not "toxic masculinity," that's just the real thing, God love you. And I'm glad for it.
I just recently discovered this song and scrolling through the comments and seeing how many women, including myself, can relate is absolutely heartbreaking! We all know the law doesn't protect us until it's too late! My opinion is quite biased whether he was right or wrong in his actions! However, if I had been his attorney, I would have bent, twisted and argued the justifiable homicide defense to fit his "crime"! Sometimes doing the right thing and obeying the law are two completely different things!
Yeah, some people just need killin'. In another reaction video, someone commented that they envisioned her spending those 5 years going to law school to become his lawyer. I could see that, too, particularly if it was an election year for the judge/DA, and they needed to "send a message." It would be interesting to hear a Tennessee prosecutor's take on the video. But you're right, I think. The law would favor the dead abuser, especially when you consider the chorus line, "I never thought my day of justice would come from a Judge under a seat." A Taurus Judge pistol did what a court judge would not. This video should be a feature-length movie, like Coward of the County. The backstory could be this guy's mom died in his arms, because he was too small to stop her abuser. I would pay good money to see this picture.
That is so true. We took our daughter and two children in. I mean we loved him. Thought he was so great. Until one night where she couldn’t hide and handle it anymore. It’s a miracle she got out alive. She was neat from head to toe. And missing four front teeth. Her babies are 6 and 3. And let me tell you the justice system does absolutely nothing. Sometimes I feel like a coward and failure that I didn’t do the same thing. But then who will take care of all three of them.
As a victim of domestic violence, I prayed someone would hear me screaming and step in to help like this, but nobody ever did. I tried leaving so many times, and each time he would catch me. He got good at not hitting my face cause those bruises are so hard to hide. The last time I said I was leaving, he threw me into a set of bunk beds and after I fell to the floor, he jumped on me and punched me repeatedly in the hip, upper thigh, and right buttock. He tried to make it so I couldn't walk. After he calmed down a bit, I told him I wanted to go for a walk and smoke a cigarette so I could calm down and so we could talk like adults. I limped around the block, hoping someone would stop and see if I was ok, but everyone just smiled and waved. I knew I had to get out that night or else he was going to beat me to death. I stopped outside the restaurant that was kitty corner from the house and called my dad. I didn't even get a chance to tell him what happened cause as soon as he heard me crying, he threw the phone to my mom and ran out to his truck. He showed up and got me away from my ex. I now have my concealed carry license and carry my 9mm everytime I leave my house
This hits very close to home. My brother is on trial right now and I pray for mercy for him. The only peace I have is knowing that my niece is alive and her abuser was sent to the same place Hardy sent the guy in this song. My prayers go out to anyone that is in this situation. God Bless and much love
In the south... especially the country with those old school country boys, when a man says wait in the truck, it's because some bad shit is about to happen, and he dosnt want you to have to see it.
THIS is what real country music is all about. Every...single...abused woman prays for a guy like this, to protect her & just make it stop. 💯 He didn't run because he only did what was RIGHT. >>This song is so perfectly written & phrased...it makes me cry every time I hear it. #WaitInTheTruck
It truly breaks my heart to see so many women who has had to deal with this kind of abuse I am so sorry that so many have been treated like this. I have been married for 30 years and have never even thought of laying hands on my wife. Anyone who abuses a woman is a coward.
THIS is based on a story about his best friend...he spent 20 years... she waited in the truck and waited for him while he was gone... love this song!!!
Here in the south we protect our wemon and young wemon. It's the cost were going to take. I was always grone up to yes ma'am no ma'am and take care of my sisters and the family wemon. So I can see justice.
Great reaction guys!! New sub here. This song hits home. My favorite line... " I just looked in her eyes threw it in drive and asked her where he was."
One instinct! Love that comment. This is obviously a difficult topic..😢.. yet the fact that he gave up his life for her to have a good life. Phew, that’s beyond powerful! ❤ WOW. Thanks for sharing your reaction.
I just discovered Hardy recently as well & he is awesome. Check out another great one called 'Give heaven some hell'. Talented guy, fairly new on the scene.
🇨🇦😢👍 This is metaphoric, in my view. Exaggeration is used to convey a strong message. The character's selflessness is what is important. Kind of like what Jesus did, without the killing part. He gave selflessly. This song was written to make people think. Perhaps the truck driver went through this with a loved one and could not look away anymore. Good reaction.
I worked the streets as a LEO for a few years and did many years with State DOC (retiring 8yrs ago) now that I am not restrained by a badge I see things a tad differently. When the system, when society fails to protect those weakest among us it is left to rough men standing outside the rule of law to do what is necessary to preserve the peace, protect the innocent, and return civility. Some call this "vigilante justice" but for some the vigilante is the only hope to obtain justice.
It's a true story Hardy had a friend who did 20 years for what he did. She waited till he got out and she still had that truck and they got hitched after they dated for 2 years and have 4 girls :) He is a Roadie for Hardy
When he sings the line "wait in the truck" it makes me yell 'yessss' and fist pump. If this songs makes even one abuser think twice . . . I've know too many women in that situation - the fortunate ones survived . . .
Yep- I think she’s literally waiting for him… in ‘the’ truck. Gives me chills. The whole darn thing. He removed her chains… now he’s in his own. Remarkable story telling. Would REALLY love to see y’all react to Toby Keith’s tribute song to Oklahoma Sooners, NBA, and jazz guitar great Wayman Tisdale- ‘Cryin For Me (Wayman’s Song), official video’. Such a great song with outstanding performances from all involved. I see so many comments about the shit head getting what he deserved, and believe me i agree; however, the real beauty in the story is the willingness of a stranger to put everything on the line for a stranger. There's no greater act of love than to sacrifice one's self for another. The metaphor at the end, with him in shackles, and her set free is powerful. He literally acepted his fate and did what he had to do to free the oppressed. I know that being a vigilante isn't the answer, but there are times when the consequence has to come second to the saftey and well being of others. Even a stranger
Great reaction! I had to run with my 3 babies to save our lives, we started over with only the clothes we were wearing that day,. The cops were no help (I tried repeatedly and they looked at my bloody busted up face and told me if did as I was told he wouldn't hit me) and after years of getting away with it, he just got worse and worse, we had to run. Every situation is different, but the constant is that no one has the right to abuse another person.
I have a friend that went to jail for 15 years for beating a man half to death . He was beating his girl at a bar one night . Bart didn’t think twice just jumped up and beat that man so bad ( that’s a Texas Man thru and thru ) . We thank hod he lived or Bart would have been gone forever . We got to spend the last 10 years with him before we lost him when he went down on his Harley . R.I.P. Bart
As a survivor of domestic abuse, I get this song. I would NEVER want someone to take the abusers life, but put him in jail, like Hardy was in this video, and get NO visitors. But that's just me. ;) Vigilanties may feel like they need to do more, but really, just call the cops and save yourself the prison time. I would have appreciated that too, instead of everyone ignoring my cries for help.
Another of the greatest and most prolific country artists that you really should explore is Eric Church. His songwriting is next level as is Hardy’s and he’s another that’s not a sellout. Check out Through My Raybans, Smoke a Little Smoke, Mr. Misunderstood, Mistress Named Music, Heart on Fire. ♥️
Stay on the Hardy trail. Check out Jack, A Rock, Signed Sober You, the mockingbird and The Crow, Give Heaven Some Hell, Boots, and after Boots, then Truck Bed. He’s won two Songwriter of the Year Awards just this year. He also has at least 11 number ones just since 2018. Hardy is on fire! Morgan Wallen also has taken country music by storm the last couple years. He and Hardy are best friends and write together often. Check out any of Morgan’s Dangerous Sessions, they’re amazing, (Sand in My Boots was written by Hardy.) Also Chasin’ You, 7 Summers, More Than My Hometown, Cover Me Up, This Bar. Love what you guys are doing here. Best of luck! ♥️🎶🎶

You might look into Dia Frampton "The Broken Ones" you would I think enjoy it. and about how far he took the action on the song, some men will not let abuse go if they see it while the blood is fresh.
I hope you youngsters, remember this song. And think about it, if you ever think about putting your hands on a woman. Because there are a lot of old school guys that won't hesitate, to administer swift justice!
It’s such soft and innocent music with a gorilla lyrics ! And their voices together are perfect are a perfect blend! You should we act to some Bailey Zimmerman!

As a DV survivor, he's an angel in my book...wish I had one. Statistically, the chances of an abuser changing their behavior is almost nil. They just keep finding more victims so death is the correct avenue for them. I'm curious since y'all are young if you knew four things mentioned in the song....whiskey scars, wait in the truck, 12 and a judge under the seat! Regards from Kentucky!
I think that maybe he saw someone he loved die at the hands of an abuser or maybe he feels he should have done something to stop this type of situation in the past. His past trauma's would certainly explain his drastic actions. Men that abuse NEVER stop! If a woman is lucky enough to be able to get out, he will have another victim. Having been there many many years ago, I am alive today because he isn't.
Good ole'boys from bible belt states. We have what's called a hangman judge!! In the video you see a flag in the judges court.. But in the video that bad man was reaching for a 12g shot gun when that all went down...that poor woman went through he'll for years with no way out but one out come..he saved her.. Domestic violence causes PTSD just like soldiers.
Can y’all PLEASE react to “Dear God and Book of Revelations” by Dax…..both songs are mind blowing and the videos are amazing too….I’d LOVE to see ur reactions to them, Dear God has to be first and then Book of Revelations
"We from Cali but..." bro, the valley is country af. I'm a Zoni but I move part time so I've been bringing y'all here a lot. People from the north Valley are country af. Go Niners, btw. Anyways, this song is about being a man. We exist to protect them. We never want it to come to this, but it's why we're here ultimately.
I'm 17 and I'm an old-school in my opinion because of how I am I guess you could say I'm masculine as hell because I don't see a problem with saying it's speaking my mind I don't believe in giving a damn what a woman's opinion is and don't fear the consequences to my actions I don't like child rapist rapist I don't like women beater The reason I love this song as it reminds me how I am the fact you hurt someone in front of me it's over for you I don't need number 911 Even though I hate how your new religion females treat men I would still protect them it's just how I was raised

Regards from Kentucky!
my man on the left knows whats up
SACRIFICED HIS LIFE SO THAT SHE COULD HAVE ONE
I think that maybe he saw someone he loved die at the hands of an abuser or maybe he feels he should have done something to stop this type of situation in the past. His past trauma's would certainly explain his drastic actions. Men that abuse NEVER stop! If a woman is lucky enough to be able to get out, he will have another victim. Having been there many many years ago, I am alive today because he isn't.
We need a review of Jason Andean!

Anyways, this song is about being a man. We exist to protect them. We never want it to come to this, but it's why we're here ultimately.
She's still waiting in the truck.

ALL THESE MAN MADE RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE BUT legalities,
But there is a far higher law called, "JUSTICE".
There's a new sheriff in town boy
I'm 17 and I'm an old-school in my opinion because of how I am I guess you could say I'm masculine as hell because I don't see a problem with saying it's speaking my mind I don't believe in giving a damn what a woman's opinion is and don't fear the consequences to my actions I don't like child rapist rapist I don't like women beater
The reason I love this song as it reminds me how I am the fact you hurt someone in front of me it's over for you I don't need number 911
Even though I hate how your new religion females treat men I would still protect them it's just how I was raised
I take this song as a warning to abusers. you may think you bad, but always a bigger and badder guy who will end you.
Wait that is not true Country music is really actually getting better
Listen to the beginning he found her
