Thank you for this! I've been looking all over for examples of the tail air tracking a specific person with others in the scene and this one helped a TON
They have a built in fan. Ran one on internal battery in 105° heat, full sun for an 1.5 hours before the battery died. Would have lasted longer on an external battery.
Would you have advice for my church streaming... we've been extremely basic with just 1 mevo on a tripod. I'd like to get that tripod out... I'm just unsure about mounting to the ceiling. We don't have a media booth. I just use an iPad from my pew. I trying to find a mount and possibly a mic option to improve the sound quality. Any ideas for a super basic set up? We do have some handy guys who could run wires through the ceiling if needed.
Jason, am i correct in assuming that if we want to use this in a multi camera setup, AND make use of the presets, we would have to have a control device for each camera and then feed the control devices into something like a yolobox pro? otherwise im not sure how you were switch the presets of each camera. Thanks for the updated review. I wonder what the range of the wioreless NDI feature is...Thats a significant cost reduction than having to spend $500 to $600 on something like a kiloview n2
All i have is speculation on how it will eventually work. They are working on the Obsbot app being a multi camera app like the Mevo Multicam app. As it is now, if I were streaming thru OBS on a computer, I could control each camera via the Obsbot app, but one at a time. Of course having a control device for each would be even easier. The other option is to invest in their remote which gives you access to all three cameras and all presets for each. The range is going to depend on your network. I’ve had wonderful results stretching the range with a wifi6 router. The distance test shown in my Results: video comparing the Mevo, NearStream and Emeet cameras surprised me.
2 ways: output from your soundboard into the camera or into your control device. In Multicam app audio settings toggle on the ‘use this device’ to turn on the sound coming into the phone/tablet.
I’m putting this theory to the test this week! I have some football footage already but will be shooting more this week. Success will depend on how much access you have to the sideline/track. Will need to be closer than pressbox for setup.

Nice, actually it's amazing! I'd like to try it with my cooking classes
It makes me want to start a cooking class!
Thank you so much. This was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I jumped on the early bird for the multicam version of this. Great video Jason!
Awesome! Thank you!
You're on the cutting edge of this, thanks Jason
I am loving the options we have for streaming. Couldn’t have imagined this just a couple years ago!
Looks nice, is AI funkcion works also when is connected to Mevo Multicam ?
Yo, how do these handle heat over time. Can you use them outside for an extended period of time without them overheating? Thanks for the video! :)

I’m buying 2 Obsbot Tail Airs ptz cameras, do I need a remote for each camera?
no, one remote controls 3 cameras
Any idea if this is available on the iOS version of Multicam? Also, is it supporting all NDI PTZs and not just the OBSBOT? Thanks.
It is now in it iOS version. I can’t verify all NDI PTZs but it has controlled all the ones I have access to.
@@JasonHoffmanYT Awesome, thanks! Time to upgrade some cameras.

How tall are your ceilings? I used the RODE VideoMicro for general sound for a long time when we first started streaming services.
Jason I want to get the OBSBOT Tail Air. My question is can I set it about 60 feet away? and would it zoom close enough that distance? thank you!!
I dont think you’ll get the quality you want at this distance. Any way you can get it closer to your subject?

@@JasonHoffmanYT got it! Thanks for the reply
Thanks for all the videos.Does this rotate 360 like pivo pod? Pls let me know.
No there’s a stop just prior to 360. What is in the left side of the view will be in the right side of the view once fully rotated.
Thanks Jason for the videos. What would you say is the maximum effective distance that you can place these cameras and still maintain 4k resolution?
If you’re wanting to keep from cropping you’d still need to be about 15 ft from your subject.
How can I connect it to my soundboard using the mevo muti-cam app

Do you know if this would be good for recording football games?

Bro , highly suggest this camera for sports game this works so well
@@camilla-bs3rt Hoping to get more footage from our football games this week. Maybe some volleyball as well.
Does it shot in vertical 4k?
No. Just landscape
@@JasonHoffmanYT Thnx!
