obsbot have really come a long way. I was using the Obsbot Me for streaming but the battery wouldn't last the whole session, even plugged in it wouldn't last past about an hour (IIRC). 3D print idea - sliding cover for the remote's side connectors.
I use an Asus Chromebox 5 as my daily desktop & this webcam is amazing because I can control the settings through my phone. Every other webcam I try to use with my ASUS Chropmebox 5 needs the compatible software for this webcam that is only available on macOS or Windows in order to adjust their settings. No webcam manufacturer makes compatible software for their webcams that work with ChromeOS, which for the longest time, was my biggest hurdle & annoyance when using any ChromeOS device. But not anymore. With this webcam connected to my Asus Chromebox 5, in conjunction with the companion app on my Google pixel 9 Pro XL, I can finally adjust the settings of my webcam when it is connected to my ChromeOS devices.
This is something I never thought about, thank you for sharing! And I also think that the OBSBOT mobile app is still one of the best and most feature rich around. Really makes me love their products.

Oh man. I so wish I would have backed this camera or a set of these cameras vs the absolutely horrible Raybit SC1 cameras that I backed on kickstarter last fall. They are hot garbage and dont even work 90% of the time/software is garbage

thanks for the review, super helpful -[jsut leave any SD card in it to use it? any idea how wide the FOV can get? i cant find anywhere, im trying to shoot in shallow room w audience and want a WIDE angle
You're very welcome :) The focal length of the lens is 23mm, so on a cropped sensor - more than that. I wont say it's wide per se, but it's definitely not narrow! THat's for sure.
Great post. Frankly, you could do stand up very funny. Your video is probably the best at explaining why it would work great for our application. I've watched every osbot video I could find. We finally have our video and audio list together for Mondays order. Thank you I'm sure it took a lot of effort to produce that clip.
Would you prefer this as a 3 camera set up over the Mevo start set up? and what do you think is the best way to have a set up similar to the Mevo start app to switch from camera to camera?

Its tough to get the camera situated with the prompter correctly. The PTZ feature of the camera makes in finicky, and in order to not get any of the prompter frame in the shot, you have to insert the camera lens into the prompter a bit. It worked, but not an idea solution. And if you accidentally move the camera while it's in there, I'd imagine you would do some damage.

If it had zoom, it would be great for a video conference or live-streaming of events, where these kind of products really shine
It does have zoom! X4. It’s digital zoom, but still zoom.
