To me, this was one of the few instances of an adaption from book to film done right; and they did it by having the author help with the screenwriting. Whenever that happens, I feel a lot of times it really works out well for everyone, us fans included.

It will be interesting to see the Hunger Games in it's glory days, but I can't help but feels like prequels are always so sad cause no matter what, I know how this character is going to turn out as.
Great recap as always, but I just have to be that person and say that katniss and Gale were NOT in a relationship before the games, and there was no "rekindling" that flame. Gale just decided he didn't want to share katniss, and later katniss got confused about life and what she wanted and only ever kissed him when she felt bad for him. They were best friends (until Prim died), yes, but not romantic partners
