A Day in the Life of a Job-Hunting Software Engineer

- A typical day sending my resume off into the void, impossible Leetcode problems, and asking ChatGPT for life advice.
I got laid off from my previous video producer job a few weeks ago (see previous video), so I'm re-learning how to code and working on securing a job in tech as a software engineer. And it's been kinda rough haha.
Filmed and edited by Chris Jereza, based out of New York city?

I watched your SWE videos back in the day, was always insanely impressed with how you landed so many top internships. No doubt you'll absolutely crush it this time around. Good luck.
can i be honest? it took me to get four minutes into the video to realize this wasn’t a sketch or parody bit 😂 great video! definitely subscribing
😂
Bro !! Your story is super inspiring 🤍 you’re doing really well .. super ambitious you are !!!! Also well disciplined that you cook dinner for your self !!! And you got great resistance that you don’t drink ✨✨✨ amazing 🤗
Bringing back the day in the life vids feels nostalgic
Good luck man!
Dang this video is even better than the last! I like how personal it is (ie the shikifuton tatami setup).
I know you're gonna find a good job soon! Watched a lot of your old vids in the past :)
Holy butt...a whole new channel?
I also got laid off recently and it has been a challenge to land interviews on top of interview prep.
cs student here in nyc. i find your video inspiring. keep it up
Great video, I feel less alone in my job hunting process. Leetcode problems scare me, but we have to beat them 💪 Best wishes ✨
🔥
Best Of Luck ❤❤❤❤❤❤
nice video man! you look like ChristopherJereza and he has an awesome video called How I Passed Coding Interviews at Facebook, Google, Lyft, Bloomberg. for system design, do you do bottom up or top down when designing? i usually do requirements -> database design -> api design -> high level system components
yeah thats me haha this is my new chanel

hey chris, would you rather do creative work or corporate? the market sucks and existing is expensive as hell. just curious since a lot of ppl leave tech to do creative work. best of luck bro.
honestly its hard to just generalize and pick one whole field over another. I'm exploring options in both and the choosing will have to come down to the specific opportunities.
Appreciate the support!
5:35 --> Nice kick.

Making pour over at home is way cheaper and probably better
