Lots of respect for Case tractors from the 70s and 80s. They kept a lot of farms around here going through the hard times.
Their were so many awesome tractors made in the 80's and 90's, my two favorite decades.
Great video! We ran a 6588 and our neighbour down the road ran a 6788 and we both pulled a 1482 behind it during harvest. Brings back good memories!
The one thing that makes me miss farming the most is the roar of tractors tilling! Thank you for your videos!!
That 3788 brought back memories..on are family farm back in the 80's we had 2-3788's and 3-7488's at one time..the 7488 was my favorite cause it was what I learned to drive at the age of 6!!

I have a case IH 2096 and my uncle has a 4450. Those are our "big" tractors. The case will pull about anything I want to pull. Been a really good tractor.

You had my favorite contemporary tractor covered at the very beginning. I have fond memories of sitting in one at the dealership & riding in the neighbors when it was shiny & new. Certainly enjoyed seeing all the other ones, too! Almost forgot about the Steiger Lion & the Ford Versatiles. Thanks for the great vid!
Great Video, 8070 ,White 2-155 , Case 2594 ,4894 & 2+2 were my favorites. Please do more on this era. Love to see this older stuff as i grew up in 70s & 80s

I love everyone of those tractors, especially compared to the new ones, but my favs are the CAT and Magnum!
I have always favored International. I enjoyed the 674 & 574 international for our disking and plowing. It could handle all of our row crops and land preparation the start of each year. Love your videos.
We had a 674 .. it was a very versatile tractor.. did a lot of raking, plowing!
We ran the 86 series Internationals, 1486 and a 986 along with a 5088 and a 5288. These were really nice upgrades from the 706 and 806 we had been running....also had an 826 Silver in that time frame. Thanks for the video memories, Keep up the great work!

Wow those row markers stretch all the way to my house! We started using GPS in 2013 on our farm. Are 2 sets of row markers are now in the edge of the woods somewhere.

We still run a 876 versatile along side the newer ones tractor has over 10,000 hours on it engine never been touched been a great tractor for us .

Having worked on several different farms in the late 80s though the 90s, I remember a lot of these tractors. We had a 2590 Case. On the same farm we demoed a Case IH 7120 and used it to chop corn silage. Seeing one again, you can see the traits from IH and Case in the styling. Hands down the 50 series John Deere's were my favorite to run.
I always loved the IH 2+2's look and the Versatile/New Holland bi-directional (push me / pull you) tractors.

Thank you. I love all your videos and I’m almost overwhelmed with nostalgia at times watching them. I would love to see a video that features all of the tractors that came with factory V8 engines!
Now an all V8 engine video would be very cool. I am always looking for V8s but have only filmed a Ford FW-60 with a Cummins 903, IH 4786 with a DTV800 and a JD 8850 with a Deere 955. Hopefully other like the Massey 2805, 1155 and 1150 turn up. As well as 4wds like the Steiger Tigers, White Field Bosses, IH 4568 and more. Plus the Oliver 2255, IH 1468 and 1568.
That would be neat.

Love the 4000 series Massey Ferguson tractors, recently bought a 4900 in decent shape, can't wait to use it.
Wow that’s cool. The 4900 is on the rare side. I hope to film a 4900 some day.
I purchased a 4900,4880 and a 4840 this winter and hope to have them all working this spring. I used to have a 4840 in the 90’s and missed having it around. They are easy to work on, very dependable and that huge cab rides like a dream.
Big Tractors of the 80’s my favorites are , John Deere 4650 & Steiger Lion 1000 👍🏻

I wasnt born in the 80s but i love the john deere 4650 its one of my all time favorites but i also likes the case 2594

I love these “ older iron” tractors !! These were the new stuff I grew up with. I like the 50 series Deere and the international 2+2 the best but they all look great. 👍👍
I can't agree more. International 1486 was so fun but then a 5488 4wd. Wow I felt like a king
Mark Osmond I put a lot of time in on the seat of a 1486 everything from chisel plowing and disking to hauling liquid manure and then chopping hay and corn. I liked that tractor a lot.
That 3788 and white planter though😍
And I say that, but those 94 series J.I. Cases though😍😍😍😍😍 I love the Color scheme on those before they went to red and black. Of course I like my meadow and mist green and silver most

I've always liked the IH 2+2 tractor. It's a little odd looking but in a good way. Nice videos on the different tractors from each decade. 👍🚜
Favourite top 3 tractors from the 80s is our Case 2090, IH 5488, and CaseIH 7120 Magnum

We had a 2294 Case IH, like the 2594 Case shown. I was a kid when we got it new was a big deal. Also like the 4650 MFWD, spent a lot of hours cultivating row crops in south central Nebraska in the late 90's. Love your videos!

We started with the John Deere 4640 here in middle Georgia. As time went on, we purchased a JD 4840 which was a very popular tractor in our area during the 80s.
I one time worked for a farm that used 2 4840's to pull 2 John Deere 7000 planters, man those tractors were powerful .
@@rodneycraig3118 Yes they are, I remember pulling the harrow and moving the lever left and right to give more or less power/ground speed, Powershift!

Loved the video. Liked the 2594 since we had a 2394. Had a love hate relationship with that tractor. Interesting that the 94 series could either be Case white or International red. Keep up the great work.

I remember when those Cat 65 tracks came out. I thought that was the end of all wheeled tractors at the time.
I remember them being so advanced for the time. Watching this video I was thinking they look so simple.

A neighbor of ours had a 2+2 and could not understand why we called them anteaters.

My family in Minnesota calls them “moose nose” tractors
Not that rare yes ones in good condition are but they had a decent production years
I was a kid back then so they all looked pretty good. Grampa bought a red one and we still running them.Lol

Those were the days I remember cutting hay with a 7120 when I was 10
the 80's -- the decade when my dad got injured and had to sell his farm. AND the decade when they stopped making good farm machinery.
It was a very tough time in farming.

Love the 90, & 94 series Case tractors. If you can find the traction they would pull all day long.

But if you do find the traction they will pull all day long for about a week then the back end will shit itself and cost an arm and a leg. Especially the 2290s. I know, I own one. Great motor the 504, smooth and a shitload of torque but the back ends are weak.
@@stevenowen4150 Our 2590's have held up well in rice, and soybean land. We have 2 that we disc with.
Jeremy Benoit after we had ours put back together they put it on the dyno and it gave a reading of 153 pto hp. The injector pump has never been played with, thats how it came from the factory. If my maths are about right, id say the 504 in it was putting out close on 165 hp. They’re only meant to be around 140 hp if i remember correctly. Its no wonder she ripped her arse out. Like i said its always been a case of scratchin for traction but when it does hook up it will pull hard. I used to fill the inner duels with water and leave the outers empty. Now i leave both empty and put up with a bit of tyre slip. Run about eight psi in each. Its cheaper than repairing another back end. We gave the motor an in frame last year after it got a micro hole in one of the liners. You couldnt even see the hole with the naked eye, but that little micro hole could pour out water faster than you could put it in. After nearly eight thousand hours, the bores looked like they were still brand new same with the pistons n rings.even the big ends were as new. It was very cheap to do up compared to a Cat or Cummins or a.JD JD JD JD JD. LOL. They are a wonderful motor and can put out huge amounts of power and still stay together. Its a wonder there isnt more used as pulling tractors. A set of triple turbos and a bit more juice, they’d go like a rocket. Lol. The only other thing im not to happy about with the 90 series is the way they ride. Definitely not the smoothest riding tractor ever made. They are though one of the last makes of tractors that you can work on without all the computeree bullshit that they now run on. Black magic that I no understandery. 👍👍

We have a IH 986, 1086 and 1486. All three good tractors. Have a 1988 Case IH 2096 and an IH 856. Still being used today on the farm.

Well I am blue all the way loved that ford but mainly just for the sound of that Gehl chopper it really brought be back to the eighties when we where still milking and chopping silage

I could not believe the price tag on that Bud. I only know one farmer in the thumb of Michigan who had one. He was from Fairgrove but farmed land 50 miles away in Kinde Michigan.
I would love too see more Crab Crawl 4wds.
I put many hours on my neighbor's 850,875,955 and 945 Versatiles. I one time pulled an 850 with a bad clutch in the shop at 11:30 am, put in a new clutch and was back to the field by 2:00 pm.
I heard of guys that changed em right out in the field too
700, 900, 895, 935, and 1150...All of these tractors are great.

Very cool. The Deutz Allis 8070 is a rare tractor today.
Called the Tortoise (International artic) here in New Zealand. The cab options were wide giving the "Western cab" upholstery option.

I was born in 1956 on farm in central Kentucky and still love seeing and running the older tractors 🚜 . I have a 1989 IMT 539 39hp. and a 1990 Massey Ferguson 3070 92hp. and a newer John Deere 2004 5320 64hp. I grew up driving the older Massey Ferguson's
Very nice tractor line up. I live in Western Kentucky. Massey Ferguson builds some solid tractor.

The 3 tractors I have will do everything I need done .You should come over my way and make some video's in Hardin County and Larue County lot of nice farm land around Glendale it has the famous restaurant The Whistle Stop and between Hodgensville home town of Abe Lincoln I live in Hardin Co. You have a straight drive on Western Kentucky Parkway to the very end to Elizabethtown turn right go south 5 miles to Glendale. If you go straight Hodgensville is 11 miles. Lot of nice farms between.

I still like my Ferguson's,the Ford tw-25 was a reasonable priced tractor for 140 hp.
I has 156 HP.

Completely different especially over here in England where we did get a few…
Streiger’s were great but were pretty much the same as the rest - even if they were first - IH challenged conventional thinking…

Having grown up in Germany I was always intrigued with the MB Trac by Mercedes Benz. I don’t think those ever sold over here and very few Unimogs have made it over here.
We had 5 international 5488 they were bad ass tractors
IDK How many acres I've been over with an International 3588. 2+2 that was the tractor I drove for Years before Dad got the John Deere.
I spent many hours in a IH 4366 which ran flawless consuming fuel, oil and filters only, hard to believe but it is still running today.

@@bigtractorpower Red cab, pulled a 50' cultivator and a 20 shank chisel plow with a row of discs across the front and it was a hard pull.I had the power boosted to 300 hp with a bigger turbo and injectors. The engine already had a 300 pump and came with duels on the 4 corners.
I watch your videos to keep up with all the new stuff.I was equipped to seed 1/4 section a day(we did not seed at night for fear of the drills plugging up) and tht was big league back then now 1/4 section is a few hours work.
Ahh the 80s we need to go back probably one of the best times to be farming that and the 70s
For the machines and atmosphere/culture but definitely not the economics.

My Dad bought a 1989 Magnum 7110. It made spreading 400 loads of liquid manure fun. I’ve been trucking since 2004. I own a 2017 Volvo with a 605 HP Volvo D16 engine for Heavyhaul. Looking back and thinking about farm tractors and especially Case/IH Magnums, it seems silly to me now that they offered 4 models with only 15 HP difference in each. All brands did that though.
