That was a tremendous risk and she did it. She is still remembered. Davis is not only a star, she is one of the great personalities of XXth century in American History. The Lighting they used during the Golden age of Hollywood's Black and White years led us to believe these Incredible actresses were 9 feet tall. Joan Crawford was 4' 11'' as with Judy Garland. but they were all larger than life.. It's a shame today's actresses dont have the talent these women do...
