That's brilliant Rob, hopefully you keep it safe indoors I remember when you first started, some scumbag broke into your garage and stole your autel. I learned from you the diagnostics, my friend bought a good autel, can't remember model, it was around £1300 pretty much does everything, but this for the price does most of the things you need. Think I'll be adding this to my shopping list. Let's face it, who can afford main stealer prices. I have a Ford, needed to copy the ASBILT data from the power steering module to code to a second hand power steering rack. Couldn't get the autel to do it I used FORSCAN. I wonder if that unit could do it. Anyway I learned that stuff from you so thank you Rob, keep up the good work, always learning.
Thanks for you kind words. My Autel didn’t get stolen.. that bad boy came home with me every day so nobody could. They stole a cheap laptop I ran my Picoscope on.

You make this look easy Rob. It's difficult to do a review on a tool that has so much capabilities and not go too long with the video. The 908 is a fantastic tool but it's kind of out of reach for us DIY guys. This tool has some promise.
Thanks Wyatt. I have a couple of hours of footage for that reason, edited it twice to trim it down a bit. Hopefully this is a good option for everyone.

Great video. Question. i have a 2014 328D diesel. Love the car.. Can this do all Istad/p can do? I really like your review and just want to make sure this can do all the things i need it to do like Tire pressure sensor diagnostic and reset and assign, Fuel filter purge etc.. Any advice would be great. Thansk
Nice bit of kit for the price. I use launch and Think tool at the moment. I find them good.
Both great tools. Certainly for the price the Otofix I am very impressed
I have the Autel MaxiSys Elite and haven't updated it since 2019. Those jokers want $1295 per year for an update. It's cheaper to just buy another scanner where you can get two years of free updates. That's why I went to ThinkTool Pros scanner. Have a good one Rob!

Also , do you know if it’s better than the Autel 808.
The reason I’m asking that is that the Autel looks a bit more rugged and has the stand which I sort of like.

Hi Joe, been using the Pro a lot since getting it. Recently did a vid using the D1 to wind back rear calipers on a Hyundai which it did no problem. I love these Otofix tools just because they are made by Autel. Yes it’s slimmer and doesn’t have a stand, I just lean it up against something or put it in a tablet stand. Haven’t used an 808 but I think they use the same software.

It does most things Joe but obviously not everything, less service functions than the Pro. All I can say it you will not be disappointed
Do u know if it can program new TPMS sensors. Like the AUTEL with the TPMS reprogram available
I believe it will. I programmed a Hyundai one the other day but I was using the D1 Pro at the time. Obviously it’s make and model dependent.
Hello, I have a good range of equipment the 908P the ThinkCar X10 and lots more. But what I wanted to know is will this tool do remote diagnosis?
Spec says remote support but I’ve tried to use it

Did you have to register the scanner with your Autel I D before it would operate? Just powered up yesterday and was excited to try out. 30 day window. But it will not decode the VIN on a Ford F350 with a 6.4 diesel, US model. Got a message I have 10 uses before being required to 'register' it, which probably means, I cannot return it. Also trying to get it to talk to 2017 Chevy VOLT. Scanner id'd the car but I couldn't see any of the modules. But I'm not a Pro Jock like you. This is my first time with a real scan tool. Probably don't know what I'm doing. Anyone chime in, thanks.

Great piece of kit for a mechanic. But for the DIYer mechanic the yearly update costs make it a no for me. Great kit though
