We have followed you for many years JP, so thank you for giving my wife and I a little of the place we love and know so well until we can return. Hopefully early next year. Cheers, Phil.
Great vid JP... El Cotillo has and is still slowly changing over the past few years ... Still every year we go it is all ways a stop off for lunch and and a nice walk 😎 Only a couple of days, and I get my yearly fix of the island for a fortnight ... As we have done for the last few years, we will base ourselves in Morro Jable. ( With car keys in hand ready to travel to our favourite places ) Scary enough this will be our 36th visit to the island 😮....
@@JPinFuerteventura Loved it thanks ,,, Stayed in Morro Jable with a car ,,, So travelled the island visiting our favourite places ,,, the last 3 days of our stay the weather rocketed, I believe it was a Calima from Morocco ??
Hi JP. Thanks for the walk around. It's on my to do list for a day visit when we go to Corralejo next year fingers crossed. Thanks for the time and effort you put in to these videos.
It is certainly worth the effort. Be careful though, Cotillo can be contagious. It was for us. A day visit turned into staying there and then living there.
Great vid JP. We were there for the first time in Jan 20 just before the turmoil so it was great to have an updated view of the place. That new house from the old ruin looks stunning. Keep up the fine work.
Hi JP another great video we have not been there since before covid plenty of development going on we will be heading back later in the year so looking forward to it thanks again stay well remember age is just a number.
Hi JP. Very beautiful and interesting walk along the El Cotillo beaches and the lagoons and finally a breathtaking view of the cliffs. We know the way you walked very well. El Cotillo is still a magic place, but I think it's beginning to change slowly but noticeably due to increasing building activities. As already commented I mean the place doesn't tolerate too many people. At a certain point the magic will be lost. It is like it is. Money makes the world go round. We have just been to Lanzarote for 2 weeks. In November it should go back to Fuerteventura (El Cotillo). Thank you so much for the many interesting videos. We really appriciate your contributions. All the best! Norbert and Petra from Hamburg
Good to see you again John, hope you are all keeping well. Our friend's were in Corralejo a few months ago and were being told the same when they enquired about the beach bars and sunbeds, money talks...😮. Stay safe
Thanks JP. Hopefully can make it back later this year. The irony. It's sweltering in the Midlands, up to 28c Great to see the Whale is open. Not haute cuisine, but a decent meal at a very acceptable price.
Good to hear from you again jp like fuerventura but spend most of my holidays in tenerife.. What you're opinion on this objection to tourism in tenerife was wondering has it spilled onto any other of the islands .Thanks jp.
I think they are making noises in Lanzarote. It is ridiculous as they seem to want a "better class" of tourists who spend more. That seems to means they don't want the Brits but in my opinion the worst for not spending money are many of the German tourists who stay in huge all-inclusive hotels and never go outside to spend money.
Another great video reminding me of what I am missing. I guess you made this video early april time because i walked that route every evening late april early may and noticed a few differences. Hopefully back out later in the year.
Hi JP, any update on the sunbeds on La Oliva, we went there last year, day 1 there were sunbeds, surprise surprise day 2 they were gone. We love Fuerteventura and specially Corralejo but a beach without sunbeds is no option for us. All the best for you and the mrs.
I have heard they are back Willem. However, I must say I hate beaches with sunbeds and umbrellas etc. All beaches should be just as nature made them. Apart from Caleta of course as you can't spoil those poor excuses for beaches.
@@JPinFuerteventura thx JP for your reply. I can understand your feeling about it as well, but if we have to lay down on the sand the whole day we have to hire a crane to lift us up at the end of the day 😉😄
They are apartments and not quite finished yet but most of the noisy work should be over. Cotillo is a nice chilled place (except during the fiesta in August).
Good Video JP ….El Cotillo beats Irthlingborough all day long …sorry to hear about your old school friend …just goes to show ….treat each day as if it is going to be your last and at least El Cotillo would be as good a place as any if it was your last
Hi JP. Thanks for the video. We are coming back to Fuerteventura in November. Could you recommend an airport coach transfer company from the airport to Corralejo? Ta very much. H&J
Absolutely gutted to hear about Torino's JP. My family and I used to love going there. Politics stinks, not only locally in Fuerte, but in the UK and many other countries where money and power get in the way of serving the people they were elected to serve. Sad times, but I still love my times in Fuerte! Really sorry to hear about your old school friend Grant though. I lost my wee brother (62) just before Christmas so it's a good reminder to live in the moment and appreciate every day. Your videos help those of us who haven't yet got back to Fuerte for whatever reason to relive the moments we so enjoyed. Love what you're doing with your videos John but remember that life is short so put yourself and Sue first. Would be great for my wife and I to meet you guys one day but in the meantime, take care and remember only to post a video when it's what you want to do ... 👍
Sorry to hear about your brother Alistair. He was the same age as my younger brother who died 2 years ago. Another fit and healthy Swiss/Italian friend who lived here died a few weeks ago and he was only 50 and then yet another here, who we have known for probably 15 years died, in his sleep yesterday. There seems to be a run of them lately. Thanks for watching and when you get over make contact.
Glad it’s sunny over there as there is a lot of rain around Europe just now. The Glasgow area has been bordering on tropical the past few weeks and it’s not often that we have the warmest UK temperatures with virtually no rain. We’re off to the Balearics at the end of the month, so have my fingers crossed for that. Thanks for posting JP.
That French bakery is amazing. We go their regularly when in Cotillo. We stayed in the apartment you point towards at 37:12 with the swimming pool behind the glass panels in sept. It's an amazing location. Will have to try that Nana restaurant when we come back this Sept.
Thanks JP, great video, hope to see you soon

Lovely to hear you again JP, back out to Corralejo in a months time, cant wait, keep well and lots of vlogs!

You live in such a beautiful part of the world. Lovely beach. Interesting house built upon the black rock.
The house is really something special. I was just looking at it yesterday. It was transformed from a complete ruin.
29c in Manchester today but my I'd rather be in Fuerteventura!
I think I would agree with that
Good to hear from you again, JP. It's been too long since we were in El Cotillo. Hope to remedy that soon. Thanks for the reminder!
