Good to hear from you at long last, glad Sue has got over her operation so well. Sad about the cats, but you can only do your best, I would be exactly the same, love cats, always used to go round feeding all the strays whilst on holiday. Wish they would stop building in Cotillo, I don't recognise it, it's been so long.

Absolutely great video, my first time in Fuerteventura was 18th years ago and it was in Corralejo ( i hated hotel etc . also everyone was Brit and you didn't feel you r in Spain)
After that we never go for all inclusive in fact we did only for children.
We went to El Cotillo it was so different calm but yet no commercial building, literally nobody was ther and now seeing your video looks so different.

Strange that they took Torino beach bar down for enviromental reasons and now azzuro (they have a restauarnt on the other side off the road) is back for it. Tnaks for the updat JP, and i was last year there in cotillo but a lot has changed unfortunally..

Good to hear from you again, JP. "Little boxes made of ticky tacky". I can't help but think that some of this new development is not very sympathetic to the character of El Cotillo. The harbour area, however, seems to have retained its charm and we will still visit the next time we are in Fuerteventura.
I'd never have an electric vehicle either and it was good not to see any e-bikes, one of the current scourges of the UK, on your stroll. People are now saying that the "e" stands for "exploding".
Glad to hear that Sue is recovering well from the knee replacement. Chin up, old chap. Things could be much worse, you know. You could still be living in the UK!

Good to see you back JP. What sad news with the cats and as a cat lover, I know what you have been going through. I am very sorry to hear about your friend which must have been such a shock. Pleased to hear Sue is better. I was in Esquinzo in early February and had lovely weather. So nice to get away from the cold weather here.

Hi John We were in the airport waiting for our plane home as you made the video, always hoped to be in your vids at sometime, maybe one day. Sorry to hear about Jackie, met her and her husband on several occasions while visiting Cotillo, both at the now deduct El Tolson, and as a meet and greet when they looked after properties for rent in the village. Keep up the good work. David and Trish, fans and frequent visitors to El Cotillo. 👍

Good to see you after awhile! Pleased to hear Sue is doing well! There seems to be a few changes with bars and restaurants around the seahorse area? We are in Corralejo on the 10th May for 2 weeks will look out for you. So Sorry to hear the sad news about Jackie we all need to live for the moment! JP sounds like you have had an awful few months. Wow that new complex has really blocked the view it's all too much for Cotillo and not needed and spoils the tranquility of the area! Hey ho! (Just putting my SOAP box away! ) Ann & Keith 👍🌞

Hi John, lovely to see you back and the video of El Cotillo. So shocked to hear the news of Jacqui, we met her for the first time last November, she was a lovely lady, so sad. We were in fuerteventura in April but in corralejo. Hope to be back at the end of the year. Next time you are in el cotillo can you please check the Chinese is back open !!! It was closed / up for sale, last time we were there. Take care both. Love Sue xxx

The Seahorse closed about a year ago Steve. It seems like it won't reopen.
@@JPinFuerteventura Thanks JP. Sorry to hear the very sad news about your friend Jackie. We were in Cotillo last week and were wondering about all the changes. We knew the Toston pub was closing and it is tragic Jackie never had a chance to enjoy her retirement. That's 2 of our favourite places gone. To add insult to injury we couldn't get a Chinese either at the Asiatico - the owners have also retired. That place was a god send when we were tappassed out :) Take care.
How’s the cost of living over there at the moment JP ?
Still relatively low, compared to the UK, fortunately. That is assuming you don't need to rent as they are high now, particularly for local families. Thanks for watching.

Absolutely loved seeing you back on YT again John! Glad Sue’s had her hip (sorry knee!) replacement and is walking well. Sorry to hear about your friend … we all need to live every day as if it was our last. Jensen’s looking fantastic! Torino’s was fantastic … under the circumstances I think I’ll give the new replacement with the obviously ‘environmentally better noisy generator’ a miss next time I’m back. Anyway, great to enjoy a walk with you once again on my favourite island 😊👍
