I absolutely loved this! My husband and I used to live on farm in Australia that is well known for regenerative farming, and I think one thing you could do at your own home is something called Syntropic Gardening. It’s pretty incredible to see how it can restore deserts to lush and fertile ground! We were in charge of managing an organic market garden for the farmer and he had us do everything with that method, which is essentially planting things in a way that mimics nature. For example, in a rainforest you have your trees that act as a canopy for wild life, provide shading, and helps maintain the “structure” of the ground with their roots, while putting different elements and nutrients back into the earth and provide natural mulch: we used Cassava, Banana, Papaya, etc. On a lower level you may have medium sized plants/vines that you plant under the trees, maybe you can even use the trees as support: beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Under them you plant smaller plants still like: eggplants, broccoli, capsicum, etc. Under those you plant herbs and lettuces that are harvested more regularly. Or you could go underground with things like: carrots, parsnips, beetroot, etc. The idea is each “level” of plants provides something for the soil because you’re not just planting a big crop of the same plant, which tends to strip the soil. They also had us line the walkways with logs and cover them with hay, so it would grow mushrooms which is crucial for soil health. It was fascinating to see how fast and beautiful the food grew and they tasted absolutely incredible! Anyway, I’m such a beginner at gardening, and would often say I have the opposite of a green thumb but it was so cool and satisfying to see how the garden couldn’t help but thrive. Another thing they did was after we used the food, if we had any scraps from the garden we would use the scraps for the chickens! And they would move the chickens everyday to a different patch on the grass, to mimic nature and to prevent too much of a negative impact on one spot. They did the same with their cattle and horses. All the farms around were in a drought and their property was so lush and thriving that people would come to take tours and learn about what they do. Holy cow, I can’t believe I have so much to say on this subject, my husband is usually the one that’s passionate about it, but I kind of think it’s something you would be really into the more you look into it, because you are similar to my husband in that way haha. Thanks so much for always sharing such inspiring content! I’d love to work with you one day with my luxury fashion brand🤎
Ali filming you and saying "Very beautiful. " is the highlight of the vlog! It's a treasure you get to bring back home😊❤ I'm glad you're both enjoying.
I find is strange that making friends doesn’t come easily to you. You are so sweet and lovely, and have the most natural style when impacting with people in your blogs. Anyone would be lucky to be your friend.
I am going through a confidence journey as well. Through therapy I was thought how shame was used during my childhood by my parents. This shame undealt with has creeped into my adult experience’s because I remember people shaming my ideas. However I blocked them out and blamed myself instead of the ones that we’re supposed to love me unconditionally and patiently. Your journey as helped me so much as well. Hope you’re having a good day❤
Lydia, this Vlog was such a nice treat. To see the Intelligent Change Summit through your eyes and hear your instant feedback and takeaways have been so fun, interesting and also encouraging. Thank you 🙏 We are so grateful that Ali and you were able to join and and fully immerse in this experience. I’m actually happy that you turned the camera off most of the time and challenged yourself to be present. That’s the biggest gift you gave yourself 😊 in this experience and that’s where most of the growth happens. Much Love- Mimi ❤
Hi Lydia! I work for DIRT, Arizona’s Charity. A way you can regenerate the soil in your garden is with COMPOST! Compost is the best thing ever and it puts back all the nutrients in the soil! Much Love, H 🌱
I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but just in case. Please be mindful about eating/tasting soil, as it does carry a potentiel risk of contracting parasites such as worms. Some species will often lay their eggs in soil, which are able to survive for an extensive amount of time (we are talking years) and their ability to survive in harsh conditions is incredible. However, do whatever you may please, this is simply a warning for those who may not have thought about it or may not know :)
Must have missed that bit. As a healthcare worker that is disgusting. Billions of bacteria not meant to be ingested into the human body. That why we wash our vegetables etc. Even caveman probably knew not to ingest dirt.
@@narelleparsons6745 @narelleparsons6745 I agree, but it's not like she had dirth for lunch 😂 They all tasted the soil, and those little quantities of dirt are very possible we ingest when we eat out etc. I was a bit worried on what the original comment is saying however I think we should be more respectful on someone's decisions. Saying they do worst than cavemen is rather offensive.
@@marijamagdalena7156 No offense meant but you cannot argue with ignorance. Why would anyone in their right mind intentionally put dirt anywhere near their mouth. A mere few billions of bacteria and viruses best avoided. Do the science and your body will appreciate it.
@@marijamagdalena7156 My comment was not meant to same anyone, I don't really care what someone is doing with their body or life, as long as it isn't hurting anyone. I just think people deserves to be warned about potential risks :)
BTW I'm a yoga teacher, advanced yoga is all about breath, the tingling from doing breath is actually a good thing, it's the increase in prana (life force) from doing the breath work (pranyama).

That glass on the doors is called Wide Ribbed ( texture glass used on cabinet doors, partitions, windows. I know I am one of the few people that love to see you without so much bronzer on you body, you have a beautiful soft pale skin, that is beautiful. ❤
If you want to regenerate soils, make a compost heap, consider a wormery, and adding ammendments to the soil such as soil organisms and minerals from seaweeds and products such as ocean grown.
I love that you introduced Alexis Ffrench to me! I fell in love with cellist Sheku Kenneth-Mason when I watched the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He was incredible and I bought his album as a result. Now I want to know everything about Alexis, not just because we share the same name haha. I love classical music, and this is a great addition to my collection of artists. Thank you for sharing!
I’m sick of influencers lying about wearing SPF. There is absolutely no way you burn all the time if you’re actually applying SPF 50 like you claim to. Stop pretending and admit you try to get a tan by not wearing it and underestimate how strong the sun is. You did the very same in the Maldives and were even blunt enough to name an SPF brand, which is very damaging to the brand as you’re suggesting their SPF isn’t working which is so far fetched. SPF is the most strict of ingredients when it comes to regulations and law in the cosmetic industry. A brand claiming to have an SPF 50 that isn’t actually that amount would be hugely controversial, illegal and shocking. Don’t treat us as naive, vulnerable viewers! Be honest and say you have burnt down to YOUR OWN actions or lack of, rather than a brand’s SPF abilities!
I don’t think she’s lying or making the SPF brand look bad. Whenever I hear someone (not just influencers) say they used SPF but burned, my first thought is they didn’t apply enough or didn’t reapply it frequently enough. I don’t think she was placing any blame but when she was doing the hike, she might not have been able to reapply it so essentially…that’s why she might have been more red than usual. Watching now when she’s in her teal/turquoise workout gear, she just stated that she’s been outside for hours and hasn’t been reapplying her sunscreen hence why she’s red or burnt.
Lydia you are such a joy in my life! My darling boyfriend watches your videos with me and now he is walking around the apartment saying “puppy cuddles all the time” on repeat 😂😂😂😂. Thanks for being the best ❤

I think it’s great you keep an open mind and embrace new experiences when life presents them! Even if everything doesn’t necessarily resonate with you, having new and different experiences and being open to different perspectives I think is very healthy and makes for a more enriched life! Never did I think you would be snacking on various samples of dirt... but you fearlessly jumped right in there! Brava for your bravery and willingness to experiment! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m not so sure I would have been so willing! 😉😝😊 I particularly loved that Ellie Saab halter dress on you as well as that white dress you wore your last evening there... but really, you looked amazing the entire time... even with your wild and natural hair! Great vlog full of wonderful treats for the senses! Glad you and Ali enjoyed yourselves! Oh, a little something fun and good for healthy marriages/partnerships... when you kiss hello after a day/some time apart, instead of a quick peck and continuing on with your to-do list, take 6 entire seconds (clearly not a big ask) but kiss for the entirety of 6 whole seconds. Those few little seconds allows you to be fully present and reconnect on a more intimate level after being apart. (Even if “apart” was you upstairs in your dressing room and Ali down in his office.) Definitely no harm in trying and great potential for enjoyment and a more intimate and connected relationship! Have fun and big smooches to you both! 😘😉😘

I particularly loved that Ellie Saab halter dress on you as well as that white dress you wore your last evening there... but really, you looked amazing the entire time... even with your wild and natural hair!

Best haircut I’ve ever seen on you! Wow! Laughed so hard at your sausages smelling your dress after you came home from holding Dolly. 😂🐶🐶
