The fact that you are now able to talk about Lynx so beautifully without crying made me feel super proud of you 🥹 I remember it as if it was yesterday, and I remember how much it affected you even time after that and now seeing that you healed makes me so happy 🥲✨ I truly wish you and Ali the best, you both have a beautiful family 🐱🐶🐶🫶🏼

Hi Lydia, I've been following you for nearly 7 years. Started in my mid 30's, when you were still in your 20's. I mention that as a preface to say, after all these years i just about never comment. I think this is my third comment on one of your videos in over 7 years. I watch your vlogs without fail, and this is by far my absolute favourite of yours. It is the perfect balance of beauty (which is often and sadly perceived as a vacuous pursuit, yet need not be, if and when presented well), which you have nailed! :) It is beauty with substance, a glimpse into where something can start and end (ie: botanicals, into stunning fragrance, amidst beautiful locations etc) It is obviously something that the French have perfected over the centuries. Anyway, thank you for the perfect balance of fashion on this trip, plus travel, plus soul full-filling projects (botany) that have amounted to a stunning vlog. Complete side note - I haven't been able to take my eyes off your watch, just wondering 2 things, is it the Tank Francaise? I've had my eye on that model before, but only ever seen it in photos online. Second question- is it yellow gold as it's sometimes tricky with lighting to ascertain whether it's yellow or rose gold. Either way, it is simply stunning. :) Love from Australia.
I love all your videos and they all inspire me on some level. This is one, however, is one of my favorites! I felt like I was there with you experiencing the beauty and loveliness of France. Your joy of what you see, how you appreciate it, makes me smile and feel happy too. It reminds me to notice all the beauty around me, appreciate my life. I will be wanting to watch this over and over. I love how you love your life and how you and Ali have created a life that makes you both so happy. Oh and the dresses….you make me want to care again about what I wear, how I show up in the world and more importantly how I show up for myself. Everything about this video was perfection 💚
oh my goodness Lydia, I have been in floods of Happy tears watching. I'm so glad to finally have someone that's seen this beautiful part of France. It’s so nice to see how much you love your life now, you get as excited over the apron as over new Hermes bag 😁 I wish you and Ali all the happiness in the world! You two are the cutest and the biggest style inspirations!!! 💖
Lydia, I love watching this vlog! Your enthusiasm is contagious. I love the flower gardens and the castles. I am not your typical demographics, I am a 61 yr old American but found you during the shutdown. I have enjoyed watching you grow and mature into a beautiful woman and wife.

I watched this before I started planning my trip to the Loire - thanks Lydia your vlog was so inspirational. I managed to visit all 3 chateaux you included here as well as many others because I had set aside 10 days for this area of France. I think one of my most favourite memories of this trip was walking under the grapevine colonnades at Villandry 🏰 tasting the various grape varieties 🍇
What a beautiful trip!! Amazing chateaus..landscaping..gardens..places to stay!! Loved all the green in that one chateau..a dream 😍 Thank you sooo much for taking us along 💟
The plant you liked is called Russian Sage :) It’s best suited for a well draining area because they’re like lavender and prefer to be a little more on the dry side. Lots of people will use them in gravel gardens
Lydia - you are literally one of my absolute fave creators BUT the length of the videos makes me want to weep! Exam in 20 days but I’ve got 5 videos to catch up on. 😭😭😭😭

This by far, is my favourite vlog that you have done Lydia, thank you for taking the time to show us all of the details, the château’s are absolutely beautiful.
The purple plant that looks like lavender is Russian Sage. It blooms for a long time in the heat of the summer. It is a low maintenance plant that doesn't need/like fertilization and can withstand dry conditions. Very beautiful!
Just tuned in and we cannot wait to tag along with you to France..... Lydia would it not be AMAZING to get a property in France..... more affordable outside the popular spots of course!!!
Oh Lydia, I absolutely loved this video. I toured the Loire Valley and visited many of the chateaus when I was in my 20's. I just loved it. I remember especially the chateau over the river which you said was privately owned by famous French chocolate makers. I had no idea, I thought it was a museum. We also went to a winery and toured the champagne makers, I remember buying my first bottle of champagne there and bringing it home. I was especially impressed with Fouquet's chateau Vaux-Le-Vicomte, not sure you went there (interesting story behind that one!). The food and your hotel there looked fabulous. I actually thought the 4 men singing at the end were going to break out in a Beach Boy song. But that would be strange. Many of the garden inspirations for French garden design came from Italian Maria De Medici and the Italian formal garden style. Thank you for this video, sweetie. I love the same things you do and I miss my animals when I am away, too.
Hi Lydia your Vlog today is one of my favourites I have ever seen; this feels like I was really there with you. Your descriptions everything in such detail. I wish vlog was longer because it was so interesting. I’m very excited and can’t wait for the Second part! 🥰

Thank you for taking us along. It was gorgeous. We are having The World Games in Birmingham, AL. It's wonderful to have over 100 different countries visiting.
This video is perfection, as always. Your lifestyle inspires me so much. I do travel in dresses and cardigans, just like you. I can’t stand travelling like I just got out of bed. I grew up in the South of France and I always wanted to visit the Loire Valley but never had a chance. It’s definitely on my bucket list. I don’t like mainstream perfumes, so L’Artisan Parfumeur is a good discovery! i would love to smell them.
Lydia- Thank you so much for an incredible video, and for taking us with you on your journey to the Loir Valley. I have been there and thought deeply about retiring there. Thank you.
It is a such lovely vlog Lydia! The pictures are wonderful and the way you are and the way you explain slowly with emotion and authenticity are amazing. Thanks for this beautiful moment. xoxo axelle🌼
Thank you for sharing this. This so reminded me of a summer spent in the Loire valley - we stayed in a lovely little gîte. We finished up in Paris for a few days. I remember finding out that Chateau de Chenonceau was used as an escape route during WW2, as one side of the river was in occupied France and the other side wasn't.
Lydia, this vlog was beautiful. We live in Colorado, although my husband is English. We had a trip to England and France planned last year, but cancelled due to the pandemic. We are replanning for next year, and the Loire Valley is now on our list. Thank you for taking us all along on this amazing journey and for sharing your unbridled enthusiasm of history and nature. Love from Colorado!
This was such a beautiful video. Thank you for taking us along on your wonderful trip! I will be checking out this fragrance Co. ❤️🤗❤️you are beautiful too!
Congratulations on a wonderful video. Completely agree with so many other comments, it is so lovely to see you a happier, more mature, person. I left you for quite a while, but am glad I have come back. You have definitely found a groove that brings out the best in you, and I have no aspirations to emulate your life, but I find your videos uplifting and interesting. May you always find your happy place.❤️
Exactly 3 weeks i will be doing exactly the same trip in france(paris and loire valley)ii planned the trip since may! Hopefully i will get to see some interesting places to eat to shop etc through this vlog!
Lydia this was absolutely amazing. Loved the way you showed everywhere you went. What a gorgeous place. Loved your green dress you looked so stunning. Beautiful vlog thank you so much for sharing Lydia. 💜💜💙
Always clickbait. She will ignore as always. Here are other future titles. “I’m sick.” “We’ve separated.” “Leaving” “Feeling alone” “Demolished” Back track on the titles. So dramatic.
Wait…you actually thought she was house hunting in France? I know that’s the title, but you really thought she was house hunting in France?? That’s ridiculous. With how often she and Ali travel on brand trips your first thought wasn’t, “They’re being sarcastic”, it was, “Yep, they’re still dealing with the stress of trying to find a new home in England, but now they’re 100% looking for a house in France too”. Honestly? wow Did you eat lead paint as a kid?
Omg! I ordered that green maxi dress from Anne Louise Boutique back in May! It's such a fun dress and dang I got so many compliments on it at work - somehow especially from the guys hahhahaaa I've bee watching you on and off since 2017 so finally owning something you have as well is really cool ❤️
Thank you so much for taking us with you on this amazing trip to France. I will probably never get there, but seeing it through your eyes has really been wonderful.
Hi Lydia. Enjoyed your tour around the different Chateaus. Absolutely stunning. The Perovskia is a Russian 'Sage' . I live in Hampshire and it grows very well here as a border plant.
It just keeps getting better! You are a ray of sunshine, truly! It is such a joy to go on these breathtaking adventures with you. To watch, learn, grow and be inspired by the glorious life you are cultivating with Ali. All I can say is, you’re amazing. You deserve every little bit of joy and happiness. You’ve worked so hard to earn it and all I can say is… bring on more! Love you girl! Rach 💕🌸💕🌸💕🌸😘😘😘
Just wanted to say that the bug repellent has Benzophenone-3. This not only causes allergic reactions on people with sun sensitivity (polymorphic light eruption) but also causes coral bleaching.
Your garden looks beautiful, your dresses looked great and the destination in France was just the cherry on top! Wowsers! I want to go there this instant!! Thank you for sharing that with us. I'm inspired!
As usual a most enjoyable video x Lynx will always be a big part of your life, I know Jess and Bev are to use after 15 years. Looking forward to your next adventure xx 💕💕

Dreamy vlog Lydia ! 🥰 I feel like french lessons are just around the corner for you☺️😘 Also, you know you’re a long time subscriber when you’re so proud that you tried the tomato bar 😅😊 ! P.S.: for anyone living in Paris right now or passing through, L’Artisan Parfumeur has a selection of fragrances on sale at the Samaritaine...don’t walk, RUN !
Superb blog which made me very happy thank you X. You’re unique in the best possible way! Loved the chateaus, gardens and interiors - the way it was filmed made me feel I was there so I’d say an excellent job Lydia 😊
49:14 You need to work on that Lydia. It’s quite a low vibration and you need to shift it: lack of compassion, lack of empathy, I am better than you, you are not enough… basically lack of love. I am grateful that the owners of this beautiful estate have decided to share its beauty with other people in the hope that they will be able to admire and love this place as much as they do and experience the beautiful emotions that such views can give. Truly a gesture of love. Besides, I enjoyed this vlog !
Lydia, have you considered commissioning a painting of your own kitchen garden. I think it would be stunning, especially its summer profile. I love the view!
The château de Chenonceau is also called: Château des Dames ( ladies castle) because a lot of powerful women owned it...like Catherine de Médicis.......💗
Thank you for de Chenonceau, Lydia! It's on my list to still see, but already among favourites based on what I've seen and know about it. I agree with you, it's best to take the full day to explore each château, otherwise you feel rushed 🌞
I believe that the purple plant with the lavender is what we call “Russian Sage”. The plant attracts bees like crazy, so I would never plant it near a patio or home entrance, but it is very beautiful! Thank you for sharing your trip. So amazing.
This video makes me want to go spend time in France and visit all those beautiful castles 💕thanks so much for this vlog Lydia, well done ! Love , Sil x
Château de Chenonceau definitely is a princess castle. It is stunning in winter, the galerie is full of Christmas trees and looks breathtakingly beautiful ❤️ The kitchen is incredible and well worth a visit!!!
While Chenonceau is certainly worthy of a princess, I believe it was actually Chateau d'Usse where Sleeping Beauty was written (and presumably inspired). I'd love to see it in winter!
The phrase ‘house hunting’ doesn’t mean what you think it means. There is no house hunting in this video and people are going to accuse you of click baiting again!
I was watching you tell telling us about what you are packing dresses that is and it lead’s me to believe you have more than hundred dresses and what I want to ask is why after you bring out a collection with Karen Millen you don’t wear them after? Or is it you have changed style’s or too many dresses? I don’t know but I’ve noticed it and I’ve often scratched my head to think 🤔 someone would want to wear a 20.00 Amazon dress over expensive dresses and tops! Everytime I’ve ordered from Amazon I just not happy and time will go by and I’ll place an order and I just hate wearing certain synthetic fabrics and I’m not knocking it but it seems for me that the older I get I just can’t wear uncomfortable clothes and heels anymore! I’m 50 years old for reference and I wore heel’s because of my job in real estate and I do feel more taller for one ☝️ on my petite frame and I ruined my knees and I think the older you get and you care more about aging but noticed you are wearing flats and wonder to your reasoning behind it? Well I’m so happy you got to France and I to would love to visit maybe look for property in the future!

Thank you for taking us along. It was gorgeous. We are having The World Games in Birmingham, AL. It's wonderful to have over 100 different countries visiting.
What a stunning vlog Lydia I really enjoyed all the different château’s xx
I loved this Chateau tour, Lydia! Well done!
What an amazing video - you packed so much beauty in this. Thank you !
Thank you for taking us along 🥰
Oooo loving these extra long vlogs! ♥️😻
A little bit OTT though I’ve just found my mojo a bit 😂🙈
No deffo not OTT! Love it! 😂
This was such a beautiful video. Thank you for taking us along on your wonderful trip! I will be checking out this fragrance Co.
❤️🤗❤️you are beautiful too!
After living in a massive house myself I enjoy a cottage ! It was expensive and a lot of work .. simple life is best
Just lovely Lydia ❣️ Thank you for sharing your trip ❣️ What a beautiful experience ❣️
Thank you for working so hard on this! It was incredible footage!
Lydia. Stop with the clickbait. When are you house hunting in France???? NOT IN THIS VIDEO. I love you. Say what your content actually is going to be.
Always clickbait. She will ignore as always. Here are other future titles.
“I’m sick.”
“We’ve separated.”
“Leaving”
“Feeling alone”
“Demolished”
Back track on the titles. So dramatic.
she probably thought the Loire castles were on sale 😂
@@princessnerd7266 😆
Wait…you actually thought she was house hunting in France? I know that’s the title, but you really thought she was house hunting in France?? That’s ridiculous. With how often she and Ali travel on brand trips your first thought wasn’t, “They’re being sarcastic”, it was, “Yep, they’re still dealing with the stress of trying to find a new home in England, but now they’re 100% looking for a house in France too”. Honestly? wow Did you eat lead paint as a kid?
Omg! I ordered that green maxi dress from Anne Louise Boutique back in May! It's such a fun dress and dang I got so many compliments on it at work - somehow especially from the guys hahhahaaa
I've bee watching you on and off since 2017 so finally owning something you have as well is really cool ❤️
I love Paris/France, thanks for taking us with you. I really thought you were house hunting for yourself! 😤 x
I am the same as you, I can’t stop saying wow, those chateaus are just beautiful. I want to go there too.
Thank you so much for taking us with you on this amazing trip to France. I will probably never get there, but seeing it through your eyes has really been wonderful.
I smiled all the way through this video as I related to the excitement in your voice the places you went to all looked amazing xx
Hi Lydia. Enjoyed your tour around the different Chateaus. Absolutely stunning. The Perovskia is a Russian 'Sage' . I live in Hampshire and it grows very well here as a border plant.
I love the idea that a loved pet family member could come back.❤️
Spent three months on a farm in Loire Valley, it was like being in a fairytale Eden. The soil is so soft and loomy and the tomatoes, omg.
Your videos are so beautiful. Honestly they give you a sense of peace because you’re transported to another place.
Just wanted to say that the bug repellent has Benzophenone-3. This not only causes allergic reactions on people with sun sensitivity (polymorphic light eruption) but also causes coral bleaching.
This has been a magnificent video. Very well done to you both.
Your garden looks beautiful, your dresses looked great and the destination in France was just the cherry on top! Wowsers! I want to go there this instant!! Thank you for sharing that with us. I'm inspired!
Gorgeous video Lydia. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Fabulous content as always x
As usual a most enjoyable video x Lynx will always be a big part of your life, I know Jess and Bev are to use after 15 years. Looking forward to your next adventure xx 💕💕
Looks like you were right in your element! You even matched with the green rooms 🤩 You definitely need to go back there and have a proper vacation, lovely!
Dreamy vlog Lydia ! 🥰 I feel like french lessons are just around the corner for you☺️😘 Also, you know you’re a long time subscriber when you’re so proud that you tried the tomato bar 😅😊 ! P.S.: for anyone living in Paris right now or passing through, L’Artisan Parfumeur has a selection of fragrances on sale at the Samaritaine...don’t walk, RUN !
oh merciiii!!
Superb blog which made me very happy thank you X. You’re unique in the best possible way! Loved the chateaus, gardens and interiors - the way it was filmed made me feel I was there so I’d say an excellent job Lydia 😊
Wonderful, made me fell like I was on Holidays!!
haven't seen you this giddy in a while ! what a treat !!
Dear Lydia, your hair always looks so stunning❤️ Greetings from Lithuania🤗
That stunning purple plant is Russian Sage and is very easy to grow, and performs better when you neglect them a bit. Gorgeous color and structure!
That dark olive green dress is GORGEOUS!!!!!
Best vlog ever - the content took my breath away
This is my kind of trip. Would love to see these beautiful buildings. Just gorgeous.
I've been to loire valley in France and it was absolutely gorgeous i would love to go back there one day
Château de Chenonceau definitely is a princess castle.
@@ellengross1027 You’re right! I was sure the guide told us that at Chenonceau, but will definitely have to visit Ussé now! Thanks ☺️
The phrase ‘house hunting’ doesn’t mean what you think it means. There is no house hunting in this video and people are going to accuse you of click baiting again!
Evidence you didn’t watch the whole video and just skipped around dear ❤️
“House hunting” means seeking a house to live in or buy. I didnt see any of that in this video. Did you actually watch it dear?
@@mailatorres2143 Or research and scouting trips. Which….visiting manors with very similar tastes to Lydias seems like research to me.
She thinks she's lady fortacue
@@gretchenpembrook2849 NO!!
I absolutely loved watching this video/vlog! Thank You!
Absolutely beautiful vlog‼️ Lydia and Ali traveling....my favorite ‼️
