Keep seeing this a lot so I want to reiterate the reasons for tearing down the old shelves. 1. I had to replace the carpet and these shelves were built on top of it, I had no choice if I wanted to replace the carpet. 2. I liked it but at the same time it was huge and I decided I wanted to put more of a premium on space for people to hang rather than storage.
Love your videos guys. I just found your channel a couple weeks ago and have binge watching since. Blows my mind how I’ve never found you till now. I’ve got 10 years worth of freshness to catch up on and looking forward to every second of it!!!!
@@TheGameChasers thanks for all you do. 40year old ninja here re-living my childhood through you guys. Sooooo many memories. Can’t beat childhood in the 80’s was truly an amazing time!!
Hi Jason ! I just love Game Room tours. I think Billys updated game room is great. The VHS section is awsome ! Check out Dave from GamingGrannar game room. He is a youtuber from sweden. He even got a name for it. DAVECAVE ! Greetings from Sweden !
The Game Chasers BILLY ARE YOU A TAURUS? SO AM I! LETS MAKE TEXAS TOAST WITH GOATS! hahaha i dont even know what that implies tbh hahaha tho i am a Taurus so some truth was spoken, but yea theres somr bullshit rumour you hate MetalJesus because of some shady convention shit he pulled? Pure Bullshit im sure tho eh?
What I loved most about this is how simple and how genuine the sincerity you feel towards these things. You and I share many similar views from childhood, especially when it came to what you enjoyed most. I admire how passionate you are about box art, half the time as kids, the box art sold the games for us; it gave that first impression of awesomeness before actually playing a particular title and built the hype for us. People say we should let go of our past things and move on, but I like you revere what made our childhood since without it, we would not be who we are today. I hung out with similar, regular kids when I was little, and I’d love to think that we most likely would’ve been friends because of our affinity to so many of those things now retro. 🙂 you guys have my praises.
I agree. I am only 20, so, one story I have is going into a store when I was like 10 and first saw the amazing cover of the Ultimate Alliance game for PS2. I had to have it. Then played it to death with my brother. It's still of my best games ever. I also remember going to an old Game store for PSP games and DVD-ROMS. I remember buying LEGO Batman for the Xbox 360. I remember Harry Potter for the PS1. Of course, I also remember Street Fighter 2 and GoldenEye 007. All so good. I was born in 1995, but I am somewhat of a 1980s guy. From John Hughes and Stephen King to Queen and Nintendo.
Dude! Same here man! When I FINALLY own my own home (I'm a renter junkie) I want a small room that is a "retro living room" with ONLY shit from the 80s and 90s. Posters, TV, vcr, etc. Like stepping back in time!
Billy, I've been watching your show for awhile and I still love it. You and jay have funny and cool personalities and seeing guys go on adventures to find games makes me want to get back into collecting again. Hope you guys continue this show for 10 years and up !
I really liked hearing Billy talk about stuff in this video. Seems way more down to earth and normal than what he does in traditional GameChasers videos. Was nice to see his other side. Really jealous of that room, thats a love out of passion right there and a lot of hard work. Looks badass.
Billy - I'm setting up my factory sealed games exactly as you have your movies. Having them separated allows for a greater appreciation for some reason. Your game room is perfect and I particularly love how clean & open it is. Btw the blue and green lit arcade buttons are sweet. Great video!
I like the way you shot this with you sitting on the couch talking and the clips of the game room edited in. Love the updated game room and your Vectrex is where should be with in arms reach of the couch.
Billy is my favorite gamer on TH-cam. Nothing to dislike about him. He's just a regular guy who doesn't try to be anything but himself and that's really cool. Cheers, Billy! Would love to do a video of my game room. It's pretty vast, but I'm humble like you are!
Sehr schöne retrogaming sammlung hast du da alles sehr schön sortiert und sehr gute Spiele auf allen konsolen alles wie in den alten Zeiten Hammer Gratulation nochmal
Well, this video inspired me to start collecting VHS. I picked up 25 videos yesterday and a VCR player. Watched Rocketeer and Batman and Robin last night. First VHS experience I have had since I was 12 and first got a DVD player on my launch day PS2. Holy smokes, the nostalgia is strong with this VHS stuff! It was honestly much stronger than I anticipated. Your game room has inspired me and given me a lot of ideas for what I want to build eventually.
I'm sure ya'll get comments like this all the time. I'm in a graduate program right now that is very intensive and I love watching your videos to calm me down in between readings or tests, I don't know why I find watching your stuff so relaxing but I really appreciate it. Been watching since 2012, keep it up chodes
Pretty amazing collection you've put together. Just goes to show that this stuff is still out there, you just have to be willing to get off your ass and look for it. That glass case is a total gem. So many memories of being a kid walking into KB...
Just started watching Game Chasers recently. This room looks great, and I'm always really happy to see the Atari ST, a system I grew up with, getting some love.
Billy, your new game room is much much better. I like the cleaner look, I honestly don't know how you lived comfortably in the last one. Not that it was terrible, but the mess was noticeable that type of stuff bothers me haha I did the same to my room, completely re did it made it my man cave.
Wow you have an incredible game room here. Love the diversity, with the VHS display and using games' boxes as art display. That brick wall covering looks awesome as a background, very warm game room. Thanks for showing all of us, one of the best tours I've seen. My favorite thing about your tour in particular is its quality over quantity design. I have nothing close to a collection like this, but quality over quantity is a philosophy about game collecting, gaming in general that I also subscribe to.
Agree, game rooms are a reflection of the person they belong to. Mine has a ton of vintage computers (Atari 8-bit / ST / Amiga C64, Apple II and such.) I also have a ton of consoles and games as well.
I'm loving the new layout. Gotta admit, I'm quite envious of the KB shelf. I still remember that video of y'all cleaning them up after finding them hidden in that mall!
Dude, I grew up with identical lamps in our living room, Billy. But anyway, I know this is a few years old, but the room is gorgeous. I'm so jealous of the KB N64 shelves...
Very nice redo. Always good to make the best use of whatever available space you have. I watched Metal Jesus and now after this I have to go watch Alpha's.
I very much live vicariously through retro collectors as that usually is more than enough to satisfy my nostolgia-tickle. However, seeing this, for the first time, I feel like I'd want something (on a smaller scale) similar in my man cave, which is mainly just guns and car bits haha. Awesome vid!
Dude the room looks amazing. Good efficient use of space. I am always trying to think of ways to hang things on the walls to get them away from taking up floor space.
Awesome collection and man cave! :) I also enjoy mine. Nothing beats entering the man cave and going into all this different worlds that only exists in our games!
Nice Collection , Big Bill ! I'll be the first to admit that collecting as helped me beat a drug addiction . I had it bad . I was so depressed and thought of suicide daily . I went through drug withdrawal and played my guitar and watched The Game Chasers a lot . When i saw the episode where Dodongo talks about his struggles and breaks down , Wow ! If you been there you know how lucky it is to make it through . I still spend all my money and I'm broke but at least now I have something to show for it LOL . Thanks Big Bill !!!!!
that's class son looks the bolloxs , love the ST was my first gaming experience remember throwing away the boxes for all my games 15 years back when left home still gutted , great vid
I love the new setup. I admit, I will miss the pegboard shelves, as they were really unique looking...but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do for more space.
Good to see the Atari ST setup, hope you have managed to find a better desk. Room likes very nicely setup, and comfortable for relaxing and playing. Love the VHS/Movie corner.
Great game tour! I know this is a minor thing but the fact that you didn't record a voice over for your cutaways is really great. The change in sound quality is sometimes distracting, so the choice to just sit on the couch and talk about the room worked really well. I'm envious of the room. Every time I get mine redesigned I see someone else's room that's that much better. =)
Hell yeah, freakin' rad room. Inspirational even. I keep all my games out of the boxes as well... Ease of access and so I don't wear out the boxes, getting games out, to play. Definite improvement, that room kicks ass!
I had a pretty extensive collection of Nintendo Power magazines. My favorite magazine as a kid who grew up in the golden age of video gaming. Like an idiot, I got rid of them some years ago. I have to believe they would've fetched at least a couple hundred dollars if I had them today. I still have all my old NES/SNES/N64 games thankfully, with their original boxes and manuals. As well as the systems they're played on. I'll never sell them. Especially not my classic NES which still runs as good as the day it was given to me on my 3rd birthday in 1989. I definitely have a hardcore love for any NES/SNES/N64 boxes, especially the system boxes and game boxes. Just so cool looking. One of the most vivid memories I have is when the N64 launched. I wasn't old enough to work, so I had to rely on my parents. I remember visiting the mall every weekend, and at the front of the Electronic Boutique store was an N64 setup in a locked glass box with Mario 64, and one controller open to play. It would form lines of people out the door who wanted to try it. N64 at the time was so out of this world graphically compared to anything else we had seen. I begged my parents to get it for me, it was a brand new system so it was full retail price at the time, but they kept saying they couldn't afford it so I kind of got "over it". Then they surprise me with the system for Christmas a couple months later and I remember running around my living room, jumping up and down with joy. I had Mario 64, I believe Wave Racer was another one that I got with it. Anyway, just a period of my childhood I have such vivid memories about. I was pretty fortunate as a kid. I had access to almost all of the major consoles of that era. And OMG @ The Turtles in Time Sewer Surfin theme. One of my absolute FAVORITES. I loved that game. So much nostalgia. Pretty impressive setup overall. Great video.
I had a Yu-Gi-Oh! card collection which would now be worth at least $500. That's kind of annoying. I also had a Pokemon collection worth a lot. Also a VHS collection worth $200 or something. I also had countless video games growing up, which would also now be worth $500, with the consoles. Then I had a few other collections, such as figures, which, in total, would easily be $1,000 (with the likes of Warhammer in there). I am 22-years-old and started gaming when I was 5 and collecting for games and other hobbies when I was 7-8. I have easily gotten rid of £5,000 over my life, like an idiot. But, oh well, it's fun to start collecting from nothing! :D
I started gaming when I was around 6, and my first games were my brother's since he was a big Nintendo/SEGA gamer. GoldenEye 007, Super Mario 64, Street Fighter 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, and others. I started on his N64/Mega Drive (Genesis) if I am not mistaken. Don't own any of it now, sadly. However, I just got myself a Super Nintendo with Donkey Kong and Street Fighter 2! Complete boxed for an okay UK price, from my local retro guy. Such great childhood memories there. I also grew up on Donkey Kong for the Game Boy Colour when I was about 8-years-old, then onto the PS1. :D
I watch alot of game room tours, but rarely come back to one I've already seen. But I like this one, and seen it more than once. I like the movie collection. I want to collect VHS also.
It turned out amazing Billy!! Congrats! The thing that I like most is that is not only about games but about every item that can be consider retro. :) I love the MC Donald boxes.
Those luck boxes are dope af. That's something that anyone in their right mind would have chucked in the trash faster than you can cringe during an EA press conference.
Great room! I just redid mine too haha. I sent you that fear magazine with gremlins 2 on the cover like a year ago, thanks for using it and showing it some appreciation!
THANK YOU SO MUCH BILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D !!!!! I was at a cousin's house when I was little and a movie was playing and I was curious what it was..I was never able to find it but it was '' I come in peace '' !!! :D When I saw the image for the movie I thought maybe this is it and it is !!! YES THANKS !
Great room!! Love the Christmas lights as I have some in my man cave! My kids love them and also couldn’t be arsed to get them down! Keep up good work from fan in 🇬🇧
Billy get a few fake plants you don't need to water and put them around the room in the right places, you'll be very surprised on how it can lift the mood in the room and get a small air purifier that keeps the air flow from getting humid and stale
He's in Texas. It's pretty dry there. right? I agree though; you pull enough of these must magnets from basements and garages and they would probably act as the worst kind of Glade plug ins.
I agree with you it looks like you have more space in the room now. Looks great!!
The Game Chasers very nice job
Shoutout to the Alien comics series. Fuckin eh Billy.
survival is survevil sometimes. go back to what you love, we all laugh then cry about everything.

The Game Chasers how many video games did you play recently
That Chip and Dale 2 box is beautiful.
Wow. Nice game room. I hope to have a room like yours someday my fellow gamer/collector!
Thanks for showing it! Keep showing us every year!
The Atari and Intellivision boxes are the best, so many memories of the 80s
I'm jealous of the Launchbox cabinet. I would love to have one some day.
I love parts of peoples collection, the gem section the nostalgia section.
that's class son looks the bolloxs , love the ST was my first gaming experience remember throwing away the boxes for all my games 15 years back when left home still gutted , great vid
I think it's good (and healthy) to renovate your room a lot. Looks awesome now!
I dig the wide-screen on top of the console TV, that's a homage to the working-class and true heads :)
Thanks for doing this shit you guys help me in a very dark place in my life and you fuckers made me smile
Hell yeah, freakin' rad room. Inspirational even. I keep all my games out of the boxes as well... Ease of access and so I don't wear out the boxes, getting games out, to play. Definite improvement, that room kicks ass!
Great video. I'm sure its time consuming but its always great to see new content from you!
I loved this man ! Dang ! Lots of love went into this game room.
Looking Awesome Billy... looks much better... awesome NES & SNES collection.... keep on collecting!
I had a pretty extensive collection of Nintendo Power magazines. My favorite magazine as a kid who grew up in the golden age of video gaming. Like an idiot, I got rid of them some years ago.
Amazing game room. Looks so much better re-arranged!
I dig that you kept the sign & lights. Cool room
I feel like we're intruding on a tender moment at 15:19, but I won't look away. I like to watch.....
It turned out amazing Billy!! Congrats! The thing that I like most is that is not only about games but about every item that can be consider retro. :) I love the MC Donald boxes.
nice tour billy thx. can't wait to put together my own game room.
I liked both your old and new game rooms. Hope the old shelves got a new home.
Absolutely love it, Cant wait to put my own collection video up!
That place looks comfy. The overhaul looks good.
Gameroom tours are always the best! :D
I need to be packaged and sold on a store shelf cause I'm 100% jelly.
Your game room looks fantastic, I love the whole vibe of it and just everything, it's great.
This is my dream! Gonna keep working hard to achieve it. Sick room bro
Good job! Looks great and glad that you are happy with it.
Thx for showing us and also thx for having it organized!!
Well after watching a bunch of game chasers for the day this is a great way to end it.
Blah that was a generic comment. I wonder how Chris feels about you not using those shelves haha yall had fun building them together.
I really like how you utilize the art from the boxes. I looove the art also, and always think it is a shame not to have it clearly visible.
Nice video! I'm trying to re-design my game room at the moment. Going to make a vid when It's done!
this room is incredible !!! Good work Billy I am jealous ... for me all the rpg on nes snes box would be up there ahh the memories
"To me a gameroom is a place where you wanna kind a get away from the (bad) world"
Thats it

This was an awesome game tour, hope you guys find some great games this weekend at Too Many Games
Nice video! Love your Game Room, bro! Your collection is really something to be proud of! Thanks for sharing!
ya this game room looks way better.
Love it man, also Purple is a damn good color and my favorite color. It really is just visually pleasing for some reason.
IDK why but Inspector Gadget as well as most of the Kirby SNES games were my favorite box art for SNES games :) haha Great video, I enjoyed it
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing your world with us!
You can be proud of your Game Room, respect !
Throw a piece of white duck tape over the LED gap. There are also cable covers you can get at hardware stores! Looks great!
A beautiful room, I really need to join the custom shelves club
Great room!! Love the Christmas lights as I have some in my man cave! My kids love them and also couldn’t be arsed to get them down! Keep up good work from fan in 🇬🇧
This video would need to be 539 years long to give each game one second of screen time.
I am so envious of your game room billy its just awesome
Billy get a few fake plants you don't need to water and put them around the room in the right places, you'll be very surprised on how it can lift the mood in the room and get a small air purifier that keeps the air flow from getting humid and stale
He's in Texas. It's pretty dry there. right? I agree though; you pull enough of these must magnets from basements and garages and they would probably act as the worst kind of Glade plug ins.
Hell Yeah. Some fine entertainment before I board my plane to Pennsylvania for TooManyGames
Looks way more roomy. I am curious on how it will look like 1 year from now with all the pick ups. Well done
Glad to see you found your Turtles in Time!
See you this weekend at TMG!
Where is the Grammy you won for Christmas Robotica displayed?
Thanks for the tour de chase, G! Bad ass collection!
