Awesome work as usual. I had no idea there were so many choices for caliper paint. Your car is definitely unlike any others.

Thanks the share. Getting a new car and I'm looking to paint the calipers.

Why didn't you use primer and clear coat on this time? Is it because you used brush painting? Or because of the granular surface of the caliper? Thanks for the video, man. Another great job!

These are great questions. G2 caliper paint is a very unique paint. Unlike most high temp paint, G2 is a high gloss epoxy. Therefore it cures to a high gloss finish without the need for a clear coat or primer. This paint seems to mimic an adhesive glue (or two-part epoxy), which requires only a clean surface.

I would remove the calipers and relube the slide points on the brake pads.

We did something similar in the "Rattle Can Method" video.

I would definitely recommend using a better quality brush than the one given in the kit.
The spray on paint always looks smoother: th-cam.com/video/0Hlvf7eG92M/w-d-xo.html

Seriously its not that hard to buy a tray from the dollar store to catch all that toxic residue and then transfer that to a gallon jug. Sloppy, especially considering all the bozos watching this will follow this inconsiderate method and you know their calipers have years of gunk caked on and look no where near as clean as yours.

What would you recommend for removing all the gunk caked on over years of service?
