Very well designed layout! I can appreciate your diverse construction skills and methodical layout building techniques. Good use of space and visual consideration with your signature scene of Logan Hill. Good choice of background music too. Look forward to further updates. Best wishes!
Very interesting and well documented! It's the kind of tour that you like to see as it shows how you built it and what you want to do as well as how it will look !
Great update! I like your concept for modular structures, I plan on doing same. Everything removable possible for updates, maintenance and a potential move in the future. Want to salvage all I can.
Like your use of the Caboose Industries ground throws, I use them on both my 5 x 9 layout and my 20" x 10 ft. long switching layout, Paint the end of the throw lever on each side (green or red) in order to indicate the turnout position
Hello fellow missourian. Love the layout, my sister in law lives in crestwood so yea i am very familiar with the area of kirkwood you were talking about.
Hello and thanks! I'm glad you know the area I'm talking about! Hopefully once I get to modeling that part of the layout it'll show some characteristics of the downtown Kirkwood area
Hopefully this makes sense, but I actually use duct tape! I cut strips of duct tape 1/4 inch wide. I tape them down to the outside of the cork. I tape on 4 layers for the height (how banked I want it) and stagger the start of each layer by 4 inches to get the gradual lean into the corner. The duct tape tends to lose it's stick after a while so I'd advise gluing it or laying the track immediately after!

Thanks for the kind words! Building it definitely push me out of my comfort zone in some areas. It was a "learn on the job" situation lol

I really wanted to show how much thought I put into my layout even though it's small!
Perfect use of this Gojira song....
It actually worked out better than I thought! There's actually another Gojira "Easter Egg" at the verrrrry end lol
The prototype vs. model comparison is cool! You're doing a great job capturing the look and feel of the real thing.
Thank you very much, Mike!

Exactly! My main thought too is have the structures removable so I can easily paint them down the line!
A very nice start, can't wait to see it progress.
Great video and content. Cant wait to see more.
It's looking good to me great job.
Thank you for the tour. First timer here...subbed for more!
Thank you very much! Returning the favor and I have subbed too!
@@JDERailCorp Thank you!
Just discovered your channel. Good show and looking forward to more updates. Liked and subbed. Cheers from Australia :)
Thank you and I have plenty of stuff planned! Cheers!

They are a great alternative to powered turnouts! I planned on doing something similar with color indication. Thanks for watching!
Wow great job on a class 1 railroad. I model class 3 shortline. I think what you do is more difficult. Take care - Bill.
Compressing a wide open scene into a small space comes with its challenges! In my opinion modeling any size railroad can be difficult!
Just found your channel yesterday, great stuff! Nice editing! Keep it up!
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
@ np! You’re doing great
Very cool Layout!!! I'll be watching your progress.
I appreciate it and stay tuned!
