    I got the 6P on December 26 after my Nexus 5 inexplicably failed on Christmas day. I have nothing negative to say about it. For me, the size is perfect, the audio is perfect, the camera is perfect, it's fast, has more than acceptable battery life, etc. I primarily use it as a phone and texting device, and for testing web sites I'm developing. I watch the occasional TH-cam or Netflix video on it, but I have other devices for those things so not a major concern.
    I also love the 4K video, and the camera is incredible for something quick at hand, even though I use a decent SLR regularly.

    Nexus 6P is a great smartphone.I bought it 3 days ago and I'm really satisfied with it.It has such a great quality,very fast phone.The camera is absolutely fantastic,screen quality is superb.Touch id is so fast,you can unlock the phone without pressing the button power.In my opinion this the best smartphone so far.

    Great review! It's very helpful too as I'm trying to decide between the 6P, S7 Edge and HTC 10.

    • @25-8
      @25-8 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      HTC 10 IMO because HTC has a lot to prove and redeem itself, their speakers have to blow away the Huawei's in richness and bass, that Huawei's lack. Also their build and hopefully less HTC sense skin lol. I had the 6p its nice but not impressed overall, the s7&edge are amazing but I'm not going to spend $700-800 for a phone.

    Would this be better then the huawei p9? I have the p9 and i feel its rather small for my hands, and the p9 plus costs about as much as the s7 here which is very overpriced..so im stuck with either the one plus 3 or the nexus 6p...thanks!

    • @saswineey
      @saswineey 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      how about under direct sunlight? would the 6p beat the p9? and day to day performance after a few months, which one felt smoother to you sir? and the battery life too.

    How is the Audio performance from the headphone jack now when the phone is running on Android O?

    I REALLY like this phone, but don't quite love it and I'm just not sure why. I also have the Mate 8 (64GB/4GB RAM version) and it's honestly a coin toss which one I'd rather use on a daily basis. I find myself switching back and forth. I really like AMOLED screens, but the huge screen on the Mate 8 (in almost the same form factor) is appealing and the Mate 8 is much easier to see outside. I hate how badly the Nexus 6P performs in daylight.
    Great review, as always.

    I'm still using mine. I just can't find anything else to really make me want to give it up at any price. The phone today is still as fast and fresh as it was when I got it in Nov 2015. I'm a person that always gets the newest and best phones and upgrades minimum once a year if not sooner. I don't know exactly why, it just never stops impressing me and as a person who uses my phone as a pc replacement and my only work machine it just never disappoints me still.

    Review = Spot on (your English = A+++ (better than mine even...and I'm a Brit :D !!)
    Got the 6P and though I absolutely LOVE everything about the phone, I'm still thinking it's a tad too big ( or rather...long) for my 'pocketability'... so looking at the GS7 (non-edge)
    I too haven't seen the supposed stellar battery life either...not bad bad, but not 'mega' either!!??
    But for me, if the N6P was the same DIMENSIONS as the N5X....it would be my phone of choice. But after having it for a couple of months, I just think these 'bigger' phones are just a tad TOO big....for ME! (Great to use, but bulky in the pocket!)
    So, +1 for Sammy's foresight on this.... but -1 for not having the 'Edge' version at 5.1 inch too....
    Ho-hum, can't have it all I guess.... (or could we???)

    • @Red_Snappa
      @Red_Snappa 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Damir Franc Hi - thx for the reply. I like the aesthetics of the Edge over the 'standard' S7...but doubt the actual 'practical' usage of it would be any use to me anyway (having never actually used one, unlike you reviewers)....so would be quite happy to use it 'as is' TBH.... My preference was purely on the 'design' of the two, but would be reasonably happy with the standard S7 design anyway... Thx for the review ;)

      +Damir Franc always good advice with Android, my Nvidia tablet was unusable for three months after being updated. Though my Nexus 6 seems ok after the update to M. Even the best phone in the world, the iPhone can slow down on an new update though at least Apple quickly releases updates to debug. The 6p USP is vanilla Android but apart from that it is an average phone, but that is not bad, as Apple shows even with lower spec you can get great performance with no TW bloat.

    The fingerprint reader on my 6P seems to wake up the screen much quicker than yours, which is weird.

    • @VanillaCracker
      @VanillaCracker 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +townsjim That's because you're comparing it to your phone. The reason it seems faster here is because it's being compared directly to a phone that unlocks it faster. He doesn't show his finger so we have no idea when he is pressing it. There are two things to keep in mind when looking at unlock speed. 1) The speed at which the fingerprint reader actually reads your fingerprint, and 2) The animation the phone produces when unlocking. Both Huawei's EIUI, and Samsung's Touchwiz seem to have very little to no unlock animation, making it appear that the fingerprint scanner is quicker. With that aside, the Mate 8 still seems faster. My guess is they put a slightly slower fingerprint reader in the Nexus 6p to not cripple the sales of their Mate 8, or they simply had better tech available by the time the Mate 8 was ready.

    • @VanillaCracker
      @VanillaCracker 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Damir Franc You're right I heard the tap, didn't hear that the first time. with that in mind, it doesn't appear to be software animations either just pure speed/faster recognition on the Mate/8.

    I think the nexus devices are always the best because of their software.
    Even though I don't like the stock android look and nexus devices look. They mostly look circular and basic :)

    • @blackfear1562
      @blackfear1562 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      JustThaor I don't think the g4 had a better camera tbh the only phones that I believe to have a better camera on the ones on Samsung devices currently but eh even if it's (better) they both get the job done

    • @tuanoful
      @tuanoful 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they do get the job done, but I do have to insist. the G4 and V10 camera's are still the best, they compete with the s7 only, and even then, looking at comparisons, I still like the LG one because of the 16 megapixels

    • @blackfear1562
      @blackfear1562 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      mega pixel count is not everything i really don't want to get into a debate over cameras since i think we can both agree that most flagship phones cameras are good enough and that the 6p is wonderful.

    It surprises me that a phone with a battery so large doesn't last that long. If I had a phone with a 3450 mAh battery or higher, then I would expect to get at least 6 hours of screen on time especially with stock android.

      +Damir Franc poor cell reception seems to have a very big impact on battery life especially on the 6p. I probably have middle of the road life with a mix of green yellow and red cell bars on the battery chart.

      +blasphemous24 that's auto white balance.

    • @blasphemous24
      @blasphemous24 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +waymuu but when pointed at the same blue object, this time using Camera FV-5, it doesn't turn yellowish... at least setting it on the last option in the white balance mode

    • @waymuu
      @waymuu 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      well is the setting in Camera FV-5 an auto-white balance setting? i don't have that app so i wouldn't know.

    • @blasphemous24
      @blasphemous24 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +waymuu So, there are 6 options in the white balance mode which are Auto, Cloudy, Sunny, Florescent light, Warm florescent light, and Incandescent light. The last one is what I selected.

    • @waymuu
      @waymuu 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok well that isn't auto-white balance, so it wouldn't change over focusing on one specific color. also, incandescent white balance will give you a cool tone over the image so it wouldn't turn yellow-ish anyway.

    Was rocking a s6 edge plus, but after like 4+ months I still didn't have android M on AT&T (like last week). So I swapped for a 6p because it just bugs the very essence of my being that a phone THAT good like the galaxy line (starting wih s6 up) has such garbage update times.

    • @blackfear1562
      @blackfear1562 8 ปีที่แล้ว
