Knowing how he is in the myths, if Herc was more like that, he might even be a threat to his dad, but not in the same way Zeus was to Chronos.
Actually the thing about "why we dont see more versions of Heracles" is actually true! There was an interview with Nasu and Narita about Fate/Strange Fake and Narita says he had to nerf Heracles into Alcides because he doesnt believe he can write how overwhelming Heracles is and in the story proper Enkidu refers to Alcides (whom is weaker than the archer heracles he got corrupted from) as an Equal to Gilgamesh and this is shown when they have a straight up draw twice despite Gilgamesh using all his tools bar EA itself, he even conjured storms with a noble phantasm we've never seen before, thats how seriously he was fighting!
Heracles is called things like "strongest hero", "flawless champion", "hero of heroes" and even "god of heroes" at multiple instances and is implied to be the strongest hero in human history. Recently we even found out he owns a sword more powerful than Excalibur in terms of sheer raw power output!
Heracles is an absolute utter monster when he has his sanity and thus intelligence, fighting skill and tools.

In fate raute, Nasu actualy dirrectly calls him "the strongest heroic spirit, whom only few can rival".
Archer(who allready went through that hgw in his o.g. timeline) said, that he can 1v7 every other stay night servant and win.
Erice in the requiem event called him " the strongest warrior in human history".
Hans compared him to Cu Alter.
The man is basted, people often look down on him, cause they don't know the whole context of his fights with Salter and Gil.

After the death of Heracles, the sword went with his descendants to Roman, and later on to Briton
before Arthur's age, the sword belong to king Reince of North Wales, strongest of 11 rebel kings, he defeated by Sir Balin and yielded the sword to Arthur. This is where the "Arthur favor this sword and gave Excalibur to Gawain" happened

If i am remembering this correctly, Heracles was summoned using a rock from one of his ruined temples. After being summoned, he shaped that rock into that mace-axe thing that he wields in battle.
Also, Alcides (Avenger Heracles) for some reason has a Noble Phantasm named 'Reincarnation Pandora' that steals other Servant's Noble Phantasm for his own use and renders them useless for the original user.
That's probably because Heracles, as mentioned in the video, has a bit of a reputation for stealing treasures during his twelve labors. This would make Reincarnation Pandora yet another NP based on his myth similar to Nine Lives and God Hand. His versatility as a warrior also means he can be deadly with anything from his bare hands, a stick of wood, and a chunk of stone to legendary weapons which can be wielded by no other which means even something like Excalibur could be tamed by Heracles.
I dunno. I feel there should be more for Heracles. The whole “berserkers can only grunt” has been forgotten for a long time now, with only Eric, Lancelot, Lu Bu, and Fran(majority of the time) being the examples. Literally every other berserker can talk normally. Not to mention it’s strange that Berserker Heracles doesn’t get all his weapons yet Raikou and Lu Bu do.
There’s an Archer and Avenger Heracles, issue is they’re from Strange Fake which means they’re not going to be in FGO until it’s done as per the author’s request
Well a few things:
Heracles is the Greek Version of the character, if they meant for him to be Roman or a mix between the 2, he'd have the Roman tag.
Berserker is honestly one of Heracles' weaker classes, Archer being his strongest.
The Heracles Alter we get in Strange Fake, Alcides, is rather interesting. First off, they used his less known Mortal Name Alcides before it was changed to apease Hera. This version of him actually scorns both God and Man alike and wears a shawl to sheild himself from the ugliness of the world. Since he scorned the Gods in the version, he lost Access to the 12 Labours Phantasm every other Version would have, instead he gains 12 unique Phantasms, each representing one of the 12 labours. I'm not sure what they are and all of them haven't been shown but it would be the first time we'd see him use any of these.
TBF, Alcidies is corrupted by the Mud
More than losing access to it, Alcides purposefully discards everything that linked him to his divine half, including God Hand. So the container is forced to make a new Twelve Labors Noble Phantasm just to fill the gap he himself threw away.
ironically Heracles was also strict with his morals, in the Argonautica he would reprimand Jason quite a few times, especially when they waste weeks on the isle of women, this was also a factor in Heracles leaving the Argonauts, that and his lover being killed, i think in the Aeneid he is also mentioned a few times but by that time he no longer walked the earth of course
in Fate Heracles actually seems to use his bow much more often, during his labor with the Stymphalian Birds it's implied or maybe even straight up said that he shot them down whereas in the original myth he asks Hephaestus to make some bronze clamps (the instrument) for him which he then uses to scare away the birds, we also actually get to see Nine Lives being used with a bow in the finale of Prisma Illya 2wei (2wei Herz finale in the anime)
in Strange Fake it is also explained that even outside of the Berserker class, Heracles doesn't really have access to all the tools of his labors and only really gets God Hand and Nine Lives (the latter he doesn't even have as a Berserker) as his noble phantasms, however when he looses his divinity and assumes his human form with his birth name Alcides he actually gets access to 12 nps in exchange for loosing God Hand, the Nemean Lion skin is explained to be a sort of symbol of nature or wildness and thus rejects all manmade things, the only weapons or attacks that can penetrate it would have to be made by the planet itself or maybe a divine spirit
both in Lostbelt 2 and Prisma Illya 3rei it is also very clearly shown that Heracles definitely retained a strong bond with Illya regardless of the timeline, it became engraved in his spirit origin, though maybe it only pops up when he manifests as a Berserker, we don't know yet, i think his bond ce in fgo fits very well because of this, it's a unique quality to his character that only exists within the Nasuverse and very much deserved it's own sort of recognition
there's also some interesting insight into how Heracles sees the world in the fgo Turas Realta manga, there we not only get flashbacks to when Jason met him but also how Berserker Heracles chooses his priorities

21 Bousiris, a King of Egypt who sacrificed foreigners to the gods. Heracles was captured but broke his bonds and slew the king.
22 Kakos a fire-breathing giant of Latium. When Heracles was returning to Greece with the cattle of Geryon, Cacus stole from the herd and was slain by the hero.
23 Cerberus the hound of Hades who guarded the entrance to the underworld. Heracles was sent to fetch the beast as one of his twelve labours and captured it with the approval of the goddess Persephone.
24 Kerkopes a pair of gnomes bandits. Heracles captured them in the service of Queen Omphale, but when they amused him with their jokes, he let them go.
25 Cycnus, a bandit son of Ares who murdered travellers passing through Itonus. Supported by the war god, he challenged Heracles to combat but was defeated.
26 Eurytion a centaur who forced the Olenian king into letting him marry his daughter Mnesimache. Heracles, however, arrived on the wedding day and slew the beast.
27 Geras the god of old age. He was defeated in a match by Heracles
28 Drakon Maionios, a giant serpent that terrorized the region around Sagaris. It was slain by Heracles in the service of Queen Omphale.

In Strange Fake Heracles has 2 more Noble Phantasms. Kings Order which is a different interpretation of God's Hand trading 12 lives for a unique Ability tied to each of the Labors, and Reincarnation Pandora which allows him to Usurp other servants Noble Phantasms basically stealing them though he only has this NP as an Avenger

And when he does, he'll just get right back up and continue hitting it till it dies.
I remember in the scene with Heracles and Illya outside the castle, Illya was surounded by wolf or something and she did get hurt. So for me, Heracles saving Illya there was not just simply fulfill his duty as a protector, but as a father as well, since he couldn't protect his family before. Maybe Illya is the connection to what's left of his humanity in that madness-driven mind.
There he is, THE GOAT. I have been waiting for him. Defenitly one of my favorites in all of fate.
The fun thing about Heracles mind eye is that the Berserker have the fake and the other classes have the true, because with his mental capacity intact he does have learned skills to grant true mind eye, but with the mad enchantment, he lose way to access to most of those skills, so only his innate talent remain, granting him the fake
The Grand Berserker in the heart of all Fate Stay Night fans. I always liked him since I first saw him in Deen Stay Night and he become one of my favorite characters. No matter when he appear, he pulls off a great fight. That's why I have him already at lv100 on my Chaldea and I'm working on the 2k fou.
I subscribe to Illya and Berserker's bond as more Illya wanting a protector figure like the father she lost and Hercules having a chance to take care of a surrogate child like he was denied in his myth. I really do wish more bond CEs functioned like his, most of the others are such minor buffs and terrible states just just sad. Even if we could just buff theirs stats a lot more would be usable. so fun fact the sword that Hercules and ONLY Hercules could wield in myth Marmyadose is also wielded by King Arthur who was told by Merlin it just wasn't worth using because they couldn't draw out even a fraction of its full strength which would be stronger than Excalibur BUT that is the sword staff that Castoria wields in her final ascension so who knows about fairy Arthur being able to draw out that strength lol.
actually the name of Heracles sword is Marmyadose which was a gift bestowed to him by Zeus/Jupiter and later be used by Artoria(Caster) in her 3rd Ascension form so if Heracles would be summoned as a Saber his NP would be Marymyadose
Man i keeping pointing it out, in a game full of servants with different classes(looking at you Arthur) Heracles not getting at least 3(not including archer) other classes is disappointing. Like imagine a rider heracles that summons the animals from his labours or saber heracles(lily/teen) that use a club/sword/ harpe(apparently he used that) while sipping some of heras milk for an attack boost
Heracles Archer Does a lot of summons, but there is this one time when He summon Cerberus but bcuz the Enemy was somewhat a regent of the Underworld somewhat like the Grim Reaper just use its skills and Autority over It and take control of the poor animal. Wich is a good use of afinity considering Cerberus was Hades pet. The enemy was the Horseman of pestilence, at least is what we think.

I can't wait for Heracles Archer (or Alcides as they call in in Strange Fake). I'm pretty sure if he wasn't a Divine Spirit Alcides would be the Grand Archer or at least one of the candidate for the class

Heracles is one of those heroes impossible to misrepresent, even the silliest depictions of him do get at least something right. You cannot go wrong with big muscle himbo monster slayer, although I like that Fate gets closer to the tragic side of the character as well, since Heracles is one damn unlucky guy who spent all his life trying to amend his sins.
On the topic of the nemaen lion, he does have it in his archer from, but ti's unrelated to his invulnerability in Fate. That version is more like an extra boon given to him from completing his tweleve labors that is a side effect of the god hand. It negates all attacks lower then B rank
The actual pelt negates all damage from attacks made from manmade weapons. Essentially it's the servants invulnerability to modern weapons taken up to all of history.

At this point I think FGO would add Caster Heracles Lily with his lyre or something lol.
While I wanted Archer Heracles, overtime I became more interested in a Saber Heracles with Marmyadose because the sword only exists in Arthurian Legends but was described as comparable to Excalibur by Arthur in them. Also Nagakura Shinpachi has a strangely out of place voice line for Berserker Heracles where he says Herc must not just be strong but also "helluva swordsman."
Now a Lancer Heracles? This could be unique as in one story, Heracles used a shield forged by Hephaestus and a spear to kill a guy named Cycnus. But considering Nasu loves syncretism a little too much, to the point where it starts getting fanfictiony ridiculous to me, there's a chance that Lancer Heracles could be based off the Buddhist aspect of Heracles. When Buddhism made its way to Greece, Heracles was synchronized with a figure named Vajrapani, the bodyguard of The Buddha. And Vajrapani-Heracles is depicted as wielding a diamond club or thunderbolt.
It’s a shame that Heracles is reduced to just roaring. Although it was rare, there was at least 2
(3 if we count Emiya’s fight but it was off screen and I can’t remember if he spoke then or not)
occasions in fate/stay night when he spoke briefly which shows that he’s not incapable of it and most of his expressions and mannerisms portrays what hes trying to get across.
So It would be nice if fgo gave him his pupils back and some more dynamic poses to convey what he’s trying to say; maybe give of at least one line where he actually says something by bond 10-10+.
My main issue with Hercules they keep teasing the idea a stronger version of him they even say Berserker is one of his weaker classes and his Archer and saber are vastly superior to him in every way In fairness strange fake is power craps a lot having the ability of God had his Hydra arrows inability to summon all of the mythical creatures used to feed it and Castor Arthur final extension is wielding the sword his sword saving it to be a weapon physically Superior than Excalibur but we have a single picture of him having it I think Hercules showed up too soon 3 or 5 years later we would have seen the man who can rival Grand servants with nothing more than Talent then his own

I would really like to see Archer Heracles. I think its strange that a servant that is so popular only has one version, and that version is a 4 star.

It is very sad how much "other spins" Heracles receives in Fate. Not even another Berserker depictions/stories, but also in the other classes. I would LOVE to see him as a Saber, for example, or as an "not corrupt Archer".
And also I wish his BF Iolaus was made into a Servant (and be kept as a male)

Unless I’m reading it wrong, that would mean that he could predict the future, control time, heal people,shapeshift, reject bad fate, and possibly have pyrokinesis and he was physically the strongest god among all the gods of Olympus
