- Discovering the Daily Life in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai is a world of shopping and commerce. It attracts thousands of shoppers from different parts of the world by organizing shopping festivals. An interesting fact is that water is more expensive than petroleum in Dubai.
Fact about Dubai:
There is no standard address system in Dubai, making delivery services a challenge. Instead of a line for address, there is a space to draw a map or leave instructions such as this: “I live on the street after the airport road, but before the roundabout, Go past the mosque and make a U-turn. It’s the second house on the left.”

Dubai looks like a beautiful place, where middle eastern culture and western culture meets and can share a cup of coffee :)
I agree great place to visit.
Carbon Based Life Form islam does discriminate anyone or religion. you are not true muslim. Christian and islam were living in peaceful harmony together back in the ad so ya. there is prostitution everywhere, even in the arab word as well. many western like arab the world.
Omg ur right
Mashallah..Dubai is lovely &amazing city may Allah blessing 🙇🙏😇
N poor syrians are suffering while emiratis enjoying good food & warmth.that's some 'praiseworthy' comment u have
i don't know why but this reminds me of Aladdin the animated series with the open street markets, i wonder what they would say about a cartoon like that, and i did notice the men dressing exactly like they did on Aladdin that's the way they dress in India anyway.
I have heard so much about this city, would definitely visit this place one day :)
3:20 wow! This is super cheesy! "we were offered Tea! I really like Tea!!!" LMFAO!
LOL! I lost it when he said that
Looks like the residents of the United Arab Emirates do have nice hospitality. And it looks like I would really love to be over there socializing with the townsfolk. Live long and prosper, you kind people of the United Arab Emirates.
may god bless you Arabs
Same to you, sir. I was raised to be a God-loving gentleman to people of all faiths and cultures. I am from the Christian faith who loves all people no matter what ethnic group they are from, culture they follow or religion they practice.
The two men holding hands at the very end, cute !
very great
great video
if you were to join emirates and become a cabin crew member do you have to leave your country and move to Dubai?
UAE has stunned the world with their amazing architecture. UAE is the architecture capital of the world, or a least a very worthy contender. They are trying to prepare themselves for when the oil runs out, and doing a very good job of it.
I would drive around all day for fun.
Dubai is stunning n amazing want to leave uk n live in uae
th-cam.com/video/CSuerOyw_vA/w-d-xo.html
It's just a gesture of friendship for them :]
I got to visit there one day
so r u saying that only Emiratis r going to suffer if the oil runs out?!! not just Emirate. But also Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, And Oman.
Smoking in a mall isnt allowed anymore these days in Dubai. If i remember correctly is was banned in 2008.
I went to Dubai in summer and the malls were as expensive or more than in America
yes that normal it does not mean any thing you can hold any one hand there aim from there
I am moving to dubai soon....can anyone tell me where the market with spices and juice is from dubai marina?
when was that filmed ? it seems dated.
Because the audio is dubbed, are we supposed to think that man is american?
Bravo for Dubai!
@kunaalt It depends on how friendly the visitors are, then we are nice if they are nice.
lots of like that here in dubai. :)
Andalusia Spain and Portugal too :)
Dubai is the most beautiful place on earth.I'm Muslim and proud.:)
Kurdish barbie VANITY.
Kurdish barbie what is that great that you love of Dubai tell me the most important one, please.
Yes n poor syrians being bombed while emiratis can just watch n eat good food & warmth.how glaring the contrast of being oblivious
I would look so good in that clothing. We have direct flights to Dubai. Peace and Love from Dallas.
Its part of their culture to hold hands or pinkies. It's a normal thing to do to them. Where as here in America is discriminated against.
Which type of tea they drinking?
this vid is very old its about 10 years ago ,, UAE now is very different
No shit its expensive. Desalination plants are expensive. They aren't mass marketed but specially made parts like space parts.
I like your thinking :)
exelente....))))))
did they film this in the 90s
"Here, water is more expensive than Petroleum." pretty impressive
Dubai should invest more in their working expatriates
Anamarwa1... I agree. Why would someone bash another culture? I don't see anything wrong with the clothes, in fact-- I wouldn't mind traveling to Dubai and wearing the clothing myself.
amazing they keep old traditions are good..and keep their culture rights. i am glad they didnt lose their pride arab nation culture. also the spices and foods are interesting too.
wish i had that kind of money!
I will send a rain and it will wash the rich away.
And ya know what I realy like tea
What kind of Tea
@am1966ath Give us time to create and identify our colors. Many years ago we were nothing, we had nothing, and now we are rising above all, it will take even more time. As more Emiratis we get educated, we can do more for our country.
may i ask why?
Shame the NATIVE local airport staff aren't as friendly or helpful as the Indians who emigrated to work there. You just have to go through immigration and see how friendly they are.
at 8:12 dose anyone else notice the two men dressed in light green shirts holding hands while walking up behind the host of the show or is it just me?
@6651662 So it is not like the US at all? If we see two men holding hand here, they are "partners" I was just asking cause our society is sooo different
1L water= 1.5 Dhs
1L patrol= 1.8 Dhs
so what makes him say that patrol than water!?
Its DUBAI not Saudi Arabia!
it looks like they notice the camera and let go of each others hands quick too.
i live in dubai and water is not a doller its less than 50cent i
Listen, Many Of those buildings in Dubai are owned by Rich Indians on the other hand , Many UAE Citizins are living in Poverty and some of them are also very rich , dont be one sided
Is everybody who live there millionairs or just the riches?
8:12 Anyone notice the two men holding hands?
I just hate it when some people just insult my country. So STOP Continuing with the rude comments like seriously if you some of you have a problem then just keep it to yourself. Doesn't mean you have to blurt it out.
Not to be rude but you have to remember there are poor people in EVERY nation. It's like you're saying you're respect them when they were all lower class. You can't blame them for being rich just like the people in Beverly Hills. If you earn your money, you have the right to spend it as you please. Yes money should be spent to help the poor, but that's not how it always is. If you're going to criticize these people, then do it for all wealthy people.
Alhamdulillah :)
On minute 8:12 you can see 2 guys holding hands ... is that OK in Dubai ?
Patricio Gallo yes they are not gay it is very common
Patricio Gallo pure gay. The country has bunch of areas with bunch of gays. It is normal because USA aloud it to happened. They saw the camera and try to separate but to late they got caught.
8:10 2 guys holding HANDS!
Why the guy put the hat on his head without buying it, the sell man look at him with a disappointed face.
They should import water
wow ok I was not mentioning it to be mean or disgusting, I was asking about it. Please dont be so ignorant. I do have a very open mind trust me. I was asking because obviously it is a different culture.
8:12 why are the men holding hands? I have herd rumors that it is culture thing
Dubai is an artificial, expensive city without any colour of its own.
We call that, Fli Market, or junk yard. How about Jordanian they wear red garment, how about Lybia, Egipt, Katar, .....
all the people in the background of this video look confused/nervous.
if not indians someone else would be in their place ... the opportunity is to everyone
@lovegrows2012 -SERIOUSLY?! I'm gonna check it out.
looks like a lovely place, id love to visit :) does anyone know if british people accepted in this society? i can imagine some countries dont like our presence much
Actulaly british are very old friends over here.. you can search about the relations between UAE and UK.. and as i know they dont have to get visa to visit Dubai City.. and there are alot of British Residents here

Haters are jealous 😂
water here (in dubai) is only 1 dirham, which is 0.27 dollars. this guy doesn't know what hes talking about.

... ... ... ...
He didn't buy it a Wal*Mart Dubai, like you m'dear, he bought it at a gas station.
Why that man smoking in The mall??
What an joke! He is holding a bottle of water outside a gas station. Obviously bottled water is not cheap in any part of the world. In the US a pint of water purchased at a gas station runs at approximately a dollar.
omg
To be fair, we have a lot of poor people in the USA. But anybody that works in the American oil industry makes a lot of money too...
holding hands in dubai is a bit normal for the indians not being racist as i live in dubai
it my company and i work here
guy at 6:30 looks pissed
WOW can I please have the translating rights , the Narrator is murdering the pronunciations.. And I have an American English accent.
They call juice aserat? no the UAE Locals call it Aseer that means juice. The mans UAE local white outfit is called a thoob or dishdasha tarboosh it looks like a tie..The Bedouin wore this style before. The black outer covering you said it resembles a rob that's called a Bishts. It is not normally worn only on special occasions, example a mans wedding. The Bisht is usually worn over men's dishdasha. I used to live in the UAE for 12 yrs The narrator needs to talk to some real UAE Nationals
any jobs for americans?
How was Dubai in 1980S?? who got the idea of turning this small trading post into Las Vegas??
Mohammed Bin Rashed and his father before
Dubai in 1980's? it was a desert.. well half a desert atleast. barely any buildings
ahmed aldhaheri I know because SIA B747S made stops there in the middle of the night..when taking-off the Jumbo passed over downtown Dubai..was nothing like it is today..
Mohammed Bin Rashid's Father he had a vision of building such a city and do he did it and his son's have carried on the work.
The country is owned by one man. He is the shake, however you spell it. He has been the driving force in the expansion.
I wonder if I should go visit Dubai or Saudi first.
Wow, the music sounds like Silk Road and Loreena McKennitt stuff. This guy sounds really annoying.
LOOOL
water here (in dubai) is only 1 dirham, which is 0.27 dollars. this guy doesn't know what hes talking about.
23,000 dollars a year per capita but look at the rich ones whom spend 23,000 dollars a second off the backs of these millions of workers. These workers are slaves to themselves while the rich laugh at them.
Talk about lost in translation. The Engish speaker sounds like he's talking to a group of school children.
Why on earth is the presenter of this video yelling at us?! Sheesh!
1 liter of gas is 50 cents? What a rip off. Saudi Arabia > UAE
If u go to,dubai you do see a bunch of indians and phillipinos but never are thy bought up in emirates national tv i guess thy dnt wna seem dirty
Those guys at 8:11 lol cute
isnt it illegal to be gay in Dubai?
+Luke Quevedo (Rūku) yes
think of the people working on that burj khalifa literally hanging off the ropes from the bldg to clean windows.....modern slavery is what dubai is.
do buy
And at the last, everybody want to come to UAE
th-cam.com/video/CSuerOyw_vA/w-d-xo.html
it so wierd to see them guys 8:12 holding hands i know they dont mean it gay but it is wierd
those men are indians, and in their culture men holding hands is like you putting your hand around your mate neck or shoulder. it dose not resemble the same homosexual idea thought of in the west. hope this helps :)
I'm aladin
