I was hopeful but waiting for what ended up happening to happen lol
You know, I agree. Thinking back about, I didn't feel it either. Sexton seems to have an issue when being pressured like Jett was doing to him, and WHAM! .. Chase makes a mistake. Seems to always happen. Sexton is probably the fastest guy there is, but he just can't win. Always goes down. I think riding that fast is just too close to the edge for him and eventually just crosses that fine line at the wrong place and puts it on the ground. Kind of a crazy thing really.

If Deegs doesn't have an engine failure or a red flag, he is on his way to a championship. Deegs is living rent-free in their heads because they know he can come back from 20 seconds down on a brutal track, and he can bring back 12 seaconds on the last lap..Jett has been a pro longer also. Deegs knows he can go WFO for all 35+2. No riders can do that in the 250 class.

Technically speaking, Sexton should be penalized. He went off track, twice in the same spot actually, and definitely accelerated while doing so. However, did he gain any advantage? .. probably not. But it seems the AMA doesn't really care about that. AMA is very inconsistent with their application of the rules. No, I personally don't think Sexton should be penalized, but, "technically" speaking, he did break the rules.
I wish he would have been for purely selfish reasons… would have had 1-5 pics on rmx fantasy… he was supposed to be 3rd w Hunter 2nd😅

As an Aussie im a fan of the Lawrence's but you cant compare Deegans resume to Jet, Jet started his pro supercross and Motocross career 4 years ago at what 16 , Haiden at 17, Jet crashed out with a broken Collarbone ect basically Jet has been racing for 4 years Haiden for 1 cant expect the guy to have a stack of championships after only one complete season, if you do compare, compare their first seasons not what each has done to this point.

And if you look at the 250 statistics Deegs has more Podiums and overall wins then anyone else in the 250 class and it's only the start of his 2nd year in the class. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that maybe not.
Statistically Deegan is a better rider than Jett given their first couple years pro. Give Deegan the same amount of time as Jett and I'm sure Deegan could be even better than Jett is now
In my experience when you fall down you get up and go harder. Maybe that’s just the Marine in me. To be in the top 1% when you fall down you get up and go harder. That’s why these guys like Sexton, Jet, Hunter , Deegan are the top of their class.

In some of the replays it looks like chases bike does not accelerate as fast as the Hondas, it's hard to tell because Chase carries so much speed through the turns but there's a few uphills that Jett would pull away then Chase catches back up at the turn
I noticed that after the corners when Chase was on his tail.
It’s traction due to suspension and rider position. I noticed it in supercross too jet just hooks up and always has the perfect rider position

I didn’t agree with the penalty at round 1 for off track but they gave it. So then they should’ve been consistent and penalized deegan as well. Haiden would have smoked him if he would one came out of the first turn there’s no way he would have won the first or second heats.man it’s a big change from 450 to 450. Sexton can’t stay off the ground. Said it was a problem with the Honda but it’s a rider problem. He’s fast but mistakes are something he can’t stop!
It's always a rider problem. And the rider that is the problem is Jett Lawrence. Sexton is riding beyond his abilities to try and run with Jett.

@@goldsbymExactly, he cant ride within his own limits and keep up with Jett, so he pushes over that limit and it will bite him every time, it won’t make any difference what bike he is on, the end results will be the same, he has now had two weekends to capitalise on Jetts injuries and blew it, this two weeks free from racing, Jett will be back to 💯 and it’s game over again.
Sexton has all the tools but he either pushes to hard or has mental lapses, also the the ktm setup just isn't there yet. Funny how he blamed the Honda for always tucking 😂. Jett, is showing his maturity how to maintain the race while be injured and a faster rider behind. Deegan is on rails for sure love his personality but the lil bit arrogance will bite him sooner or later. Cooper and hymas are low key dark horses.
Sexton going off the track was definitely enough to be penalized by the rules in my opinion as he was pretty much wide open the whole time off the track. Do i think he should be penalized, no i dont because of the situation there was no danger with were he went off and how he rode while off in that spot, but if they penalized him i wouldn't complain either as it was for sure a rule being broke. Inhad the same thought with Vialle, he definitely broke the rule but if i was the ref i likely wouldnt have docked him in that situation, but as much as i am hoping for Vialle to beat Deegan i have to admit at least Deegan looked back and made sure it was safe to return to the track and let off (though only briefly) while off. I imagine for the officials it's definitely a very hard call im some of these situations.
I'm pretty sure you meant "breaking" in regard to Jett. Braking is what you do to slow a wheel's rotation.
You ask Mitch when he signed Ty, i guarantee he would never have expected Ty to be the one to get him his 300th win. Genuinely think Ty will be top 3 in points by the end of the season, or at least very close to it.

watching the race with my cousin i told him. . . . only a lil bit before sexton tucks the front. i think i can understand why he does it to. hes sitting forward to far when accelerating and has to much weight on the front so when it gives his whole weight goes.

It should be the time separation by time for the tie. Like first race Ty was about 8sec back in 2nd first race and Deagan was .003 back for 2nd race

Watching Sexton, he puts too much weight on the front end when his pushing. The number change from #23 to #4 looks to be more of a curse now than a break free move. He's looking more like Kevin Windham except Kevin didn't come off and at one point he was up against Reed, Carmichael and James.

The first moto winner having the last second moto gate pick is an interesting thought. I'm an ex high level ski racer and they do a random draw for the 1st run between the 30 lowest point holders. Then, on the second run, only the top 30 race and 30th starts first.
It's looking like the sport is gonna go into a very predictable/boring stage for the next few years! Jett and Deegs have everyone covered in both classes.
I mean it was awesome to see Master P win, but he was catching him. It seems the only way anyone else can win is to get the holeshot and run away and hopefully not get caught. Without a start, nobody else is winning 💯
450’s have been predicable in motocross since last summer
250’s not so much but getting there, they won’t be nearly as boring as some 450 races though

The EPO trail goes all the way back to the year 2000 in motocross. However you will be roasted and thrown out of the sport if you mention it.
Sexton’s posture with helmet and visor, impossible he can read more than 10 ft. in front of him. Bike set up not the problem. Never looks past from fender .
Dude, seriously. You can mention Jett's injured shoulder and totally overlook the fact that this is Chase's first season on a TOTALLY new bike that's NOTHING like his old one. Chase is staying competitive against not just Jett and Hunter, but the WHOLE rest of the field while essentially testing his bike.
Chase has been "riding injured" all season from a mechanical and ergonomic standpoint AND HE'S STILL AHEAD OF JETT IN POINTS. BOTTOM LINE.
Hey Johnny, we're all entitled to our opinions as well as our biases. This is your platform and you can paint the picture however you want. I would just like to add some color and detail to your picture.
Chase doesn't make excuses on the podium, but he has been very vocal about how he didn't know his bike would act as extremely different than his Honda as it does. Not to mention, he never got a chance to dial the Honda to perfect comfortability before Jett came and ruined that environment for him.
Chase rocks. The division would be totally boring without him and Jett would be clearly unmatched. And if Chase just continues to progress and figure things out, Jett will have to sweat bullets all the way to the checkered if Chase starts remotely near him. Injured or not.

Once chase can get that ktm to handle his riding style it will be fun to watch you can see the frustration when he try’s to push the bike it comes up and bites him , he should have went to the Yamaha in my opinion

Jett had to go pro faster to make money for his family because hunter was always hurt. Jett has been a freak of nature since he was on 65s. Haiden is 18 and still going through puberty dude, not everyone's the same physically
