Deegs rides like RV. I live how they preped the track making it so it wasn't so rutted out and it made it faster and more racey. And JCOOP with a little more fitness is going to be dangerous to Hunter and Jett. Deegs doesn't get tired.
Kids built different. Look after the race at 2nd and 3rd compared to deegs. He standing barely outta breathe. Kids a savage
@@Wormington_ I noticed that too... like he just did a couple jumping jacks or something, not a full moto. And I agree with OP, Haiden does ride a lot like RV did in his early days.
Never was Deegan in his amateur days I thought he was a well to do arrogant little smart ass..and he was..but now he has shown himself to be for real.. even a incredible talent ..scary part is this kids body is starting to fill out his lower body is very thick and strong and his upper body is stout this kid will be a great champion
I somewhat liked it but those ruts are really what made thunder valley its own unique track. Those are just the type of conditions you’re suppose to get at some outdoors.
@@scott729he seems to not sweat much either, same with chase, when they come off the track their hair isn’t even wet it seems
Johnny - “Jett and hunter were the only ones I saw tripling behind the start straight”
*immediately shows a clip of Justin cooper doing the same line 😂
Thought someone else would notice that
Pretty much all 450 guys were doing it lol
Deegan and Vialle did that triple in the rollers as well. Pretty darn sure.
8:20 I think the most important piece of Haiden’s pass on Tom was the scrub to the top of the hill right before the corner. Despite being behind, his rear wheel got to the ground at the exact same time as Tom’s giving him more room to accelerate before the corner.
Cooper was tripling that whoop section almost the entire 2nd moto.
This information is why we love Johnny effing Hopper and can wait for your insights!!!! Thanks boss!
Super impressive how quick you record, edit and get these videos out! Thanks for all the content!
Great, now the Tokyo Drift song is stuck in my head again :P
Awesome! I was at Ironman a couple years ago when Deegan made his pro debut. I want to say he finished inside the top 10, but not positive. Best way I can describe it is that he seemed to ride scared that day as if it was just too big for him. Unbelievable how he has improved since and shout out to the Yamaha team for developing him.
I saw Hunter slam into that hook live and then Jett smooth his way around it.... pretty cool to see. I think Jett passed Hunter pretty soon after that if I am not mistaken. Had a few beers since, so could easily be wrong, lol. Thanks, man.
Johnny if you have access to mxgp you gotta check out herlings in moto 2 on the 1st or 2nd lap. He makes a right hand corner so tight and fast by just popping the clutch and hanging on. He did some amazing shit the rd before last too passing tim gaiser in a deep rut. I’m not a huge herlings fan but I’ve grown to like him as he has matured
I agree.
@@thedude7726 @wetdookie3808 If he's getting back in form I'd like to see more of him too
Ive been impressed with mookoe this year, top 10 every race so far
Johnny you said Hunter and Jett were the only ones doing that line in the rollers, but then in the very next clip, Cooper is doing it ahead of Hunter.
Only wants to give credit to jett and Hunter.
Yeah what I saw was JCoop hitting it cleaner than Hunter and Jett actually went away from it at one point.
I knew someone would catch this
@@oh_look_bananasnext section was all about cooper
Get enough Lawrence sunshine blown up the you know what from the broadcast, geez Johnny.
That 250 first moto was gnarly. Deegs wasn't going to be denied after that fall but tom wasn't either. So cool to watch.
Great info! People get caught up on how great Deegan rides but he has yet to win a championship😂 I love Deegan but we need to pump the brakes just a little.
Technically he won the Super motocross championship. There are three championships to win a year. He won one of them. He is likely going to win the motocross championship this year. He was one bad race away from winning the super cross title this year. He is legit.
And if you put his numbers against Jet at the same time of their careers Deegan has topped Jet in a small margin so I would say the hype is deserved unlike the undeserved hype around Mike Allesi lol.
Perfect practice makes perfect.
YOu have a keen eye for anylizing these great riders and help us understand a little more of whats happening. Thanks for your input J-Hopp!
My pleasure!
Nice Job Johnny!!
J coop was def doing that roller line lol. And Anderson
Justin Cooper literally does the same triple in the clip of hunter doing it lmao. Wasn't just Jett and Hunter
Yes
what was interesting
is the ELEVATION and less POWER
ALL ABOUT CARRYING corner SPEED
so cutting insides where harder with less power
was interesting to me
lower elevation may suit DEEGAN aggression
Justin cooper was doing the triple in the rollers as well
I noticed that Tom didn't get a penalty for staying on the gas off track 😂
I took a little break from you because you pissed me off brother. But I'm back so let's get it going!! Hahahahaha
Deegan reminds me of a young Ricky Carmichael.
I don’t care who you are.
Tom Vialle is a legit 250 MXGP champ. To even hang with him for a few laps is baddass.
Deegan pressuring him into a mistake on the last laps was a mind fk for Tom.
Totally agree ,but you listen to the media , especially weege his always on and on about tom pressuring deegan but he doesn't say anything about deegan forcing tom into mistakes ,like leaving that corner wide open and tipping over trying to pass deegan .

Thank you for pointing that out!! You are, soo right💪
Dart fish doesn't account for another rider twisting the throttle more though.
Wtf are you still talking about 🤣 cool story kid
Can someone explain what trail braking or riding the rear brake through a corner does for you? Also how do riders decide when to use it or what type of corners does trail braking help with? Thanks!
In my experience it helps keep the back tire planted. It lets you keep steady throttle and roll into power easyer.
Try it next time your out riding. 😊
@@thedude7726 I'll give it a try! I ride sand a lot so that may not be a place to try it. Next time that I'm on a dirt track will try it out. I just had a thought that it might be sort of a poor mans traction control? I know my rear wheel breaks loose a lot and spins.
Scrubs speed smoothly
Xlint!
there were lots of people jumping thru that section I love Jett's talent but all the Preferential treatment he gets is bad for the sport gets hurt Track section cut out still wondering if they talked to all the teams about track changes or if it was only the Honda team with the Golden Boy Cutting down whoop sections in SX everyone has to hit the same race track good or bad
They have taken out or made jumps and sections safer for many riders who have gotten hurt, it’s not just Jett. It just happened to be him this time. But when you went undefeated your rookie 450 season and have won everything the last however many years, you’re going to get some special treatment, it’s just how it works in any sport.
Do you really think they cut the whoops down for Jett?
Justin cooper needs to put on 25 lbs of muscle.
Just a matter of time before deegan has a big crash
Nahhh. He's so skilled I bet he don't have a big get off for a while or someone's going to barcia him into a bad crash
@@thedude7726 He was REAL lucky on that last big get off. Get the glaze out of your eyes.
Your voice over is off and driving me crazy
Fact is Vile rode pretty bad in the second moto. As far as title threats go.
It’s Vialle not Vile and hello Mr. Obvious! But as far as Title threats go he’s tied in points for 2nd which is pretty damn good 🤣
Great 👍 review
