      And so wrong. Shes harping on trying to make the point the Dr cant rule out the cause of the injury but all shes done is make the dr say over and over and over again that in his EXPERT opinion, it was very unlikely the vodka bottle did the damage. She did a PISS POOR job. He sounded 100% credible, she sounded desperate.

      He testified he could not rule out how the finger was injured and he did not take all information into account with determining how it got injured.
      If he took where it was found and in what environment, his professional opinion might have changed.

      The unfortunate issue is that the majority of lawyers don’t make enough to pay off their student loans, and end up leaving the profession. But if someone has the gifts of witty articulation, abstract problem solving, vast recall, and are very likable & assertive- the sky is the limit.
      Johnny’s Lead Council, Ben Chew, has basically the most elite credentials and accolades an attorney can have, across the globe. Atop of that, he is dedicated to pro bono work and has won billions for minorities and marginalized groups. It can be an extremely rewarding profession for one motivated to put in 80-100hr work weeks.

    For those unfamiliar with the legal system, there is an entire industry of “experts” who get paid to testify whatever you want them to say. Their credentials are presented in an online marketplace and you can choose the ones based on your needs. They personally have nothing to do with the case. Their expertise is for sale.

      @bretmkal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      @@GriBlanco There would be a lack of availability in expert opinion (which is usually a key component) in many trials if this were the case. It is very common to have a ballistics expert or a scientist give insight as to why something specifically has happened in their opinion, why is this any different? Is his expertise being disproven here? Yes. However simply not allowing any expert opinion unless they were directly involved doesn't solve anything. You're just getting a verdict without the nuance and expertise of professionals.
      Imagine the other scenario, we only allow the specific doctor who came to the house to testify. Who would pay for his services if he must remain impartial? What if he specifically was hired by Heard and Depp had no medical expert to represent his side?

Why practice hands on medicine, when a piece of paper allows him to charge $5000 per day for his “expert” opinion. Disgrace to his profession!!!😡😡

    I’m exploding out of my chair... they are playing word games. The shattered glass probably did not cause that injury, but the impact of the bottle hitting the tip of a finger curled over the edge of a counter CAN totally cause that avulsion fracture and laceration. It is a crush injury. From Depp’s standpoint he saw a bottle thrown at him, hit his finger, glass shatter, and his finger is hanging and bleeding. JD is not a medical expert, he knows glass is sharp and his finger is cut so Johnny probably thinks the glass cut his finger which is why he describes his injury that way. So this expert is focusing on that the shattered glass cannot cause the injury, which is true. But the crush from a bottle on a finger curled over the edge CAN. Source: physician

    • @wasua100
      @wasua100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      I think Camille point is just that. That the bottle actually caused the finger cut. It was up to the expert to have examined all these pictures to draw a good conclusion and he did not. Hence he can't say with all confidence that the bottle did not cause the injury.

    • @pleasebackpack7554
