I've had a couple domestic class C RV's (older Dodge's) for the last 3 years we have been driving a 2009 Winnebago View and couldn't be happier with the compact size, layout and performance. Couldn't imagine going back to a bulky clunky domestic class C. We do travel light and have our 2 e bikes on the back. We're not full timers but we average 12,000 miles a year.

We own a 2130QB(aka 21qb) coachmen...same floorplan for the most part but older...we love ours...I prefer no slides...less crap/breakage to deal with. They are still small but with the right touches they work great!!! Just know tho, gas mileage is around 9-10 ish....sounds like it has the 4500 chassis and thats good...ours is a 3500 so I had to add rear stabilizer bar...yours should already have it, if not add it! Helps in the wind and towing in the wind.

My husband is currently remodeling a 2021 Class A that we just bought to live in this summer when he retires. He has torn out and rebuilt almost everything in it. It came with a reupholstered couch, dinette chairs and the 2 front seats so that was great and gave us a good start. He has totally changed the whole look of it and it's gorgeous. We can't wait to rent out our house and live in it and travel all over the U.S.A.. Congrats on your new rig! We feel your stress. Our last RV’s engine blew a few weeks ago while on the road to Mexico. Bought another RV in Phoenix (a 2009 Pulse of all things) and had to transfer batteries, solar panels, junk and more junk (way more storage in our 1998 Trek). Plan to enjoy our winter travels in Mexico and make other improvements once we return home. We’re more like 1/2 timers, not full timers, at least for now. Enjoy!

11:32 I'm a big fan of paper lists and planners over making tiny lists on a phone. I think its the satisfaction of scratching off things with authority, rather than a computer generated cross-out line. I've kept all my planners since the mid 90s, as they are like journals to me. //Sidenote, its sentimental but losing Maggie isn't that bad considering you can reminisce over all your TH-cam Videos. Peace.

Welcome and congrats on your new home! No idea if it's good or bad. Depends on your wish list and condition of the RV! There is no right or wrong RV. We love our motorcycle and use it as our tow car to go far away places. E bikes are great but scary to maneuver in cities and don't go as far. We have used our scooter/bike to go to remote hikes, buy groceries, etc.

We're not doing this for appreciation recapture. We're doing it because it will be our home for the years to come and we want it to be comfortable and nice. Everyone should do what's right for them.
