If it wasn't for Mike, James wouldn't have been where he is now....Mike is the underdog basically. But he's very important.
They can't call player 2 Waluigi because the name cannot be longer than 5 characters, otherwise it would break the rom, so ruigi is the next best thing
they cant do that because mikes schlong is way to huge to fit inside the game
The letters themselves are sprites, but display based on a variable set in a specific bit of code. I've done mario romhacking myself, and anywhere there's text, you can't have MORE text than there was before, as doing so shifts bytes of data and changes locations of all the data afterwards.

+MrEvol94 Honestly, if you seriously liked Wario Land/Super Mario Land 3, you should really grab a Virtual Boy emulator and give the Virtual Boy Wario Land a shot! It's seriously the closest thing they ever released to WL/SML3 since they originally released that game...
Basically, imagine the Game Boy WL/SML3 -- complete with all the hat-based power-ups from the original GB game -- with better, widescreen, higher-res graphics and side-scrolling levels in a similar vain as the Game Boy game, except the levels now often have both a "foreground" and "background" portion which you can take doors or pipes to switch between, even often giving you multiple routes through a level, or switching you to the background to emphasize scenery in the foreground, for example.
Whatever happened to Wario World? I want more of that.

M&B play games that they like and they can actually play them. They also pick different challenging games and hacks, and seeing them trying to solve something is becoming more fun that seeing J&M wiggle around in some game, go nowhere and then M says something like "nyaaaaah this game sucks ass it doesn't even remind me of Mario Bros or Zelda" and be done with it.
If they think this is hard, they should check out Super Mario Maker

The Easy and Normal levels aren't that hard, but Expert and Super Expert are on a whole new level of difficulty!
the big difference is most of the "hard" levels on mario maker are bullshit type of speed running. This game is actual good game design with challenging yet doable levels.

You should try shell jumping levels... It's where there is one shell and you have to get it up the stairs with yourself on top of the shell.

Slightly different physics, and if you get hit you have a fireflower, you become Super Mario rather than small. Also, if you kill Lakitu, you get to fly in his cloud.

Mike plays games like I do - full on. Profanity laden conversation with the game, sharp physical movements to accompany jumps, all he's missing is the use of non existent motion controls to turn left and right.
