I accidentally deleted the coconut yogurt video I uploaded a couple of days ago as I was uploading a new video on this channel. So, I had to re-upload it. If this is your first time watching this video, hope you enjoy :)
How to know that the coconut yogurt is successful? For dairy or soy milk, I can tell from the texture, as it thickens up, that the yogurt is done. But, for coconut milk, the original texture is quite thickened, how make sure it is made successfully? 🤔
Please, will you help?. Is it possible to make some raw, full-fat vege yoghurt, BUT WITHOUT CAPSULES. If so, what should I do, what to use? Somehow I can't find such information
Once, used fermented cabbage (it's natural probiotics) nothing happened. Tried making coconut yogurt, I bled coconut into milk, after that I poured it into a jar, added fermented cabbage juice, put the jar in the oven and turned on the light (it sure wasn't too hot.), but not worked 😔
I have tried this with homemade almond yogurt and it never worked for me, unfortunately. I have never tried re-using homemade coconut yogurt, so I'm not sure about that.
Can I do this recipe using a can of coconut milk or something else besides a fresh coconut or does it have to be a fresh coconut? I am disabled and would have a hard time hacking open a whole coconut. 😬
Yes! I would actually use canned coconut cream (or a blend of coconut cream and milk). If you use just canned coconut milk, the yogurt will be rather thin.
I have never tried it, so I'm not sure. What has NOT worked for me is re-using homemade yogurt as a starter. Please, let me know how it goes if you give it a try.
In theory you should be able to .... as you can with dairy but never tried it myself and store bought coconut yogurt has things like potato starch in it it's not pure coconut yogurt . I have heard that a lot of probiotics in capsules are dead ...something to do with processing etc .... maybe it was a brand ploy who knows ..... but you know with live yogurt you will have live cultures .. So did you try it and how did it work out ?
@@NutritionRefined Hi Petra. I would love to know how much of the plant base started can be used for the coconut yogurt. At this moment I have some sauerkraut.
All the instructions are in the recipe box (on my blog). I am copying and pasting it here: "Store leftover yogurt in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days." Hope it helps :)

I suppose it becomes tangier after a day of waiting.
Yummy!! I am SO trying this! Wish I had fresh coconut near me, I’ll have to look for frozen!
Thank you! Frozen young coconut works just as well :)
That looks delicious 😋!!!!
That's amazing!
Hi there! Can you put this in a dehydrator set at 110° overnight?
Can you teach us how make coconut chantily?
What kind of probiotic? What are the main strands please?
We does use in the West Indies a Cutlass (Machete) to cut coconuts!!
yasss chap it up
@@SJ-qf2tz yeah Mon!! 😁😂😂😂😂
@@jaredbridgeman246 that's what we use also a machete. I'm also from the west Indies.
If I am not able to find the frozen coconut, can this be made with full fat coconut milk in the same way you make your almond yogurt?
Delicious!
Do I have to add agar agar or any stabiliser?
What is the probiotics for ?
Please, will you help?.

I wish to make it a full fat and as little as possible carbohydrates and sugar. Preferably no carbohydrate 0 and no sugar 0.
Do you have to use probiotics every time? Can you save some of the coconut yogurt and use it as a starter in your next batch?

can i use plain coconut yogurt with live yogurt cultures from the store instead using probiotics? thanks for the recipe!

Hi thanks for the recipe
I have a question can I do it with dry striped coconut?
Laura Monroy M. No
Why use cheese cloth
Just to make sure the yogurt stays sterile while it's culturing.
how long would this last?
