I'm using asus tuf f17 i was using linux and want to switch it to windows but harddrives are not being detected by installation media . I searched for irst and tried to install but it says get a new driver from service provider
you may have to redo the partitions. I suggest looking for other videos. This happens with some linux distro, but partition software will identify it. try diskpart utility and see if it identifies the drives.

@tloks19 that will not boot, bootable usb or hdd needs to be formatted as bootable. You can use a mirror of your hdd to replace the drive. But that need to be made using software like carbon copy clone. It will not work as external bootable drive

Bro, this error generally comes when you SSD is not properly formatted. Watch some video about fresh installation i.e. making new partition and full format. May be it will help.

What does one do if the USB device shuts off after selecting it for boot?
Try using another USB stick, some time a damaged usb may do some task by won't boot.

Is the ssd working otherwise? You can try to reattach ssd, see if the slot is disabled in bios. See if there is any update available for bios

you can download most of the apps from Asus's website. I have used Armoury crate and my asus. which other apps you are looking for?
