    i thought id ask my boss has got a ms 500i chainsaw do you use those sort of chainsaws much and whats the most powerfull chainsaw you have used because ive used a 500i it is a beast of a chainsaw

      Hi Bradley, I have used the 500i before- brilliant saw. The most powerful saw I have used is the 661, don't use it a great deal though to be honest.

    Nice video mate! Any advice for a new climber? New career choice and it’s the best thing I’ve done, wish I done it sooner!

      Awesome stuff! Just learn as much as you can. Every tree is different. Get a gopro and look back on your work to find ways you can improve👍

    I'm hoping to do some courses for felling this year and hopefully climbing not long after. Money permitting

      @@MattGlynn yeah, I'm looking at chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting and felling up to 380mm to start with

      @@Phoenix-wl5or Thats great, they are good courses to be fair, ask lots of questions and you should learn a great deal.

      Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping I can get some part time work to start with. I'd rather work employed than self employed because I've been self employed before and it didn't do my mental health any good

      @@Phoenix-wl5or You do what's best for you. You do get more pease of mind being employed.

    How are you securing your anchor Couldn't quite see? Is it a biner locked off in a ring?

    • @MattGlynn
      @MattGlynn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can see at 10:24. it's a spliced eye that goes through a ring. The biner then goes on the spliced eye and this stopes the rope going through the ring. Its a really quick and simple SRT canopy anchor, Not retrievable unless you attach a retrievable line to the biner.
