  • One of them jobs that don't come around very often. A removal of a large Poplar tree on a very steep bank of the river Irwell in Manchester. Using a 50 tonne crane was the only option to get the tree removed without somebody getting wet.

      None of these saws where mine on this job. There was a 20" on the 500i and 32" on the 661 though.

      @@MattGlynn hi Matt I need to cut some big conifers down but we want the stump cut I only have a small Stihl ms 181 chainsaw mine struggles to cut stuff like that but because we want the stump cut which chainsaw would you recommend we need like a 18 inch chainsaw what model would you recommend

    Hi Matt I have some really big conifers to cut down they are roughly 20 to 25 inch branches and the stump is roughly that size what Stihl chainsaw would you recommend I am looking at a good decent chainsaw like the Stihl ms 500 I c- m and the Stihl ms 661 c- m chainsaws what would you recommend tho

      Yeah sounds good. The 500i would be the most versatile you can rock a 32/34" bar if its softwood. Then down to a 20" really. The 661 is great for big stuff but thats it really. The husky equivalent are good saws at the moment too.
