  • The 2008 'Skins grabbed their first win of the season, out-dueling Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and the visiting Saints on a sunny day in DC (well, Maryland). Safety Chris Horton nabbed NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors with 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Clinton Portis had two rushing TDs and Santana Moss reeled in the 67-yard game winner to complete the come-from-behind crowd pleaser.
Digitally restored from my original DVR to DVD recording with gentle and loving care.

Santana Moss was a monster in college at Miami and was a monster with the Skins. One of my favorite Washington players to watch over the years.

Cowboys vs. Redskins Week 7 2018... and We need some Adrian Peterson games like the 98 yard run versus the Eagles would be amazing! @retroskins

Chris Horton had a great rookie year and he just fell off the map after that year.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS THIS, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MOSS, RANDLE EL, CHRIS COOLEY, JASON CAMPBELL, CHRIS HORTON, AND ALL OF THE REST OF THOSE GUYS DURING THAT 2008 SEASON? THEY COULD'VE KEPT THEM

That season royally pissed me off. Gibbs left a great foundation and Jim Zorn ran it into the ground. Snyder hired Zorn because he was a yes man.

I don't know so much if he was a "yes man," but more of they couldn't find a head coach that wanted to coach there.

A great foundation in a lot of places except QB - which as we know, outweighs everything else. The previous season it took Todd Collins unexpectedly playing above his head for 3 weeks to just make the playoffs. When Gibbs left, there was no starting NFL QB on the roster. I don't think Zorn was a good coach, nor that he helped the offense...but they were likely to be hamstrung in either case.

That 2008 draft was the beginning of the decline. Could have had Jordy Nelson and Desean Jackson instead of Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly. Sleepy Davis too...
