The way he manage its own guilty feeling determine if he dies or not. Every of theses arrangements are the way he has found to deal with this feeling and to forgive himself. Guilt is supposed to make us more human but sometimes it just seems too much and irrational : why killing/be killed himself..

Well you (the guy using the computer) was drunk driving and oh accidentally ran over a woman (which is Lucy) and because you were drunk you didn't give her a proper burial. Later that night you realized what you've done and you give her a proper burial.
I think so too, at the end, we have successfully buried the memories we have with our love, and every deaths represent us falling inlove with them again

I guess if you figure out that the concept of the game is doing the *right* things and that it's pretty much trial and error, then it becomes pretty simple, but it just becomes annoying rather than interesting, and the story loses its traction. Sort of like dying over and over in a horror game. Interesting at first-glance, though.
It's not 100% formula. The exact actions you take actually don't matter. You just have to follow three rules. 1. Make the ghost happy. 2. Don't take risks. 3. Lay her to rest while she's distracted.

At the end I don’t think the piano stops if you don’t dig correctly I think that the piano is set for a certain amount of time because another person played it I.E mark And he mashed the button as hard as he could so it took wayyy longer So if you don’t dig to the rythem then it’s way harder to dig and you have more of a chance of running out of time
I have seen better games, the graphics are really good, so is the music, some may argument that games don't always have to be realistic, and I agree, but it needs sense! The story is just so short you understand next to nothing of it, no real hints not sense to most things like the death by the telephone, the "thing" spike or the lazers... Even less the crucifiction! If they just focused giving details and clues to detail the events of the game instead of crazy unreasonable things (gas leak), this would be a lot better! Why not focus on deaths that involve around the incident? The car crush and hit are good examples, even thought they are crazy, they do have logic behind it, can't say the same for the almost rest of the deaths though. Hope the developer learns in the future to make better games than just trial&error semi-mediocre games.
