I’m bilingual in both English and Korean, and I have to approve that this dude is a genius. He explains every important feature in Korean letters in a way easier way to memorize for English speakers. The examples attached on the each letter have no correlation to the origins or the meaning but they facilitate associations to the pronunciations of the letters.
그는 천재입니다.
agree
Same here, I'm definitely recommending this to any friend who wants to learn the Korean alphabet.
Every example meaning has different rules though and some make very little sense, and ski mountain I'd be thinking of the keyword mountain rather than ski, so not really that easy to remember unless you have a photographic memory
But your comment actually shows you did learn it. So, not that hard really...

Ten years ago, I stumbled upon this video shortly after I decided to shift from learning Japanese to Korean. Now, a decade later, I find myself living in Korea, sharing my life with a Korean partner, and working as a full-time TV/media translator. It's a delightful surprise to see this video resurface on my TH-cam homepage today.

@@user-bz1lt7qs6b sort of. There were some mistakes, like the pronunciation of ㄱ is actually somewhere between g and k, not just a g sound. There are also way more characters than the ones shown in this video, like there are actually 40 characters in total including the complex vowels like ㅘ, ㅝ, ㅙ etc.
@@yunjaehwa I see ..., Thanks buddy :)
can i ask you?
what does 츠유하 mean?
As someone learning Korean, when I saw the title I thought it would be a scam but I must say it's real, this does teach you Hangeul, althought this is not all the Korean, he didn't mention the tense consonants (kk, tt, jj, pp, ss) some aspirated consonants (k, t, ch) and the double vowels (wa, wo, wae, we, oe, wi, ui) but this is a really good start!, I hope everyone that wants to learn Korean sees this video so they have a solid base.
But how difficult is it to learn these remaining sounds or letters?
What you should know is that if you study hard to learn Korean it will take approximately 2000 hours to learn... which is much better than say japanese or mandarin chinese which might take 5years to a decade to become completely fluent in.@@youknowkbbaby

Awesome video. Just to add to Sam's excellent teaching - 'ㄱ' (which sounds as G (as gun) as it looks like one) is also the position of your tongue when you pronounce it in Korean. 'ㄴ' (which sounds as N (as nose)) is also the position of tongue when pronounced. History implies the Korean language was developed from a group of people and a king (Sejong, 세종) - around approx 650 years ago. Obviously one needs to practice - but it's relatively easy to learn at the beginning.
