Enjoyed your video. I have the pattern for the dress your working on but haven’t started on it yet. I’m trying to decide on the fabric. Joannes has a lot of simply silky fabric and I will take another look this weekend. The fabric you chose is very pretty. That’s wonderful you’re teaching your nieces one book at a time. A good lesson to learn while your young.
Thank you! I do like how the butterick dress is looking, but there are a few tweaks I would do on the next one. If you make it please let me know your thoughts!
Love the dress in progress and you are cute as a bug in your little summer dress! I have the same issue with my grandson when it comes to buying books. He would buy a basket full at a time, but I strictly enforce the rule of finishing one and telling me what it was about before buying another. Have a great weekend and I can’t wait to see the outcome of that cute dress.❤
We make them give us an oral book report! Big Daddy and I give "promotions" of maybe $1 or $3 for book reports at various times of the year-- but the book must be a minimum of 100 pages and sometimes graphic novels don't count....we try to incentivize them because when I do see them or go to the candy store/target/walgreens they always want the most expensive outrageous candy or junk and I'm not one for spending money on garbage!! They wanted straw covers for stanleys they other day (they don't even have stanleys).
I love the way you are teaching your nieces to finish what they start, it’s an important skill. However after recently discovering that I have inattentive ADHD I can say that being labelled as lazy did nothing but make me feel useless. A person can have a lazy attitude towards something but it doesn’t define who they are. You love them to bits and Ithink your relationship to them is very important to both you and them so I just thought that I would reach out to you about this as it is definitely something that unless you have experienced it you don’t even notice you’re doing… or it’s simply ingrained and you have maybe a few hang ups yourself that could use dealing with… maybe? It’s meant in the kindest way, it’s only because it has happened to me that I mention it. Be the auntie that instils values but be the auntie that doesn’t make them feel like they’re a bad person… you’d hate to be that because you love them so much. X
100% I agree. I appreciate you sharing this perspective with me, and I would never want them or anyone to think I perceive lazy as bad...two totally different things. and, thank you!! I do love them so much and I never want them to feel judged or less than.
This was fun ! I love the dress on you! I love when I have a me made day! The project you are working on is going to be really cute!
Thank you so much!

That dress fabric is pretty
Thank you, Traci! Happy New Year!
I think your toile, so far looks great & hope you do finish it & show it to us. Thank you, really enjoyed your video.😊
Thank you! I am excited to work on it tomorrow (my day off!)
I have the same problem with precious fabric. I love to look at it and imagine what to make out of it. But reluctant to actually use it.
Its not easy. I need to start buying bigger quantities of the stuff I am in love with so I don't feel bad to use it.

Thank you Cindy. I tend to ramble, so it might be a bit stale, lol!!
