    I just took the running boards off my 1996 fzj80 and it looks like I gave it a bit of a lift. Great video

    I installed the same kit 2 years back with bigger tires without changing the upper arms. no issues so far.

      Hi Rashid, so no need to upgrade upper arms when lifting 2’’ and put 33’’ tyre? How was flexibility of the tyre when turning, driving in the dunes and mountains? I’m looking for a useful info before so I can spend wisely in my LC.

      Gary Khin it was a medium 2.5" kit and it rides very firm. If you're aiming for a comfy ride I would not use ome. This was a friend's vehicle. I recently did my own 99LC and went with 2866 springs - 1.5" lift and heavy progressive spring rate. I cranked the OEM torsion bars up front and kept the OEM shocks. It's a really cheap way to get a small and comfy lift. I may need to upgrade shocks later on. I do have a rear steel bumper and sliders (extra weight).

      YotaMD you think I should get a heavy spring rate if I plan on doing an ARB bull bar and rear bumper since it's gonna add weight? I'm not really trying to do off roading but want the off road look

    Did you put on new upper control arms?

    • @Yotamddotcom
      @Yotamddotcom  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Michael Fisher no, not during this video. That vehicle did eventually end up with slee UCAs after having alignment difficulty. They technically aren't required in a 2.5" lift on a 100 series, but I would recommend them because the factory ones aren't long enough to allow much adjustment during an alignment.

      @@Yotamddotcom ARB told me today that I shouldn't need the UCAs on 2 inch lift but..they have had vehicles of the same year and model that have needed the UCAs when wheel alignment problems evolved.. so they really couldn't tell me if I needed them until the very last step being the alignment.. this is happening more on the 200 series they said..
