“to know is to know you know nothing” - some old smart person telling you this as someone who has some experience with life, you’re never too smart to stop learning. just bc you perceive yourself to be smarter than your peers (what is the metric for “smart” anyway?) doesn’t mean education doesn’t hold value. there are LOADS of things wrong with the current education system. like how it’s only goal is get people smart enough to go get underpaid somewhere or how the school system doesn’t have neurodivergence in mind when creating the curriculum or how their telling of history ignores the bloodshed and bullying that the US has engaged in to get where we’re currently at, to name a few. but all these wrong things will be made 1000x worse under privatized hands i.e. private equity in housing OR corporate interests in universities this is your time to continue learning. you live in a world that is interconnected. go learn about all the things school never wanted you to learn about. then go share it with others who are less fortunate. parroting right-wing, reactionary talking points and dogwhistles like “get rid of the DOE” will only encourage rampant anti-intellectualism and that’s not what a smart person like you would want for people, right?
You should do a ted talk man this is inspirational
