hey i have almost the same pc as you but my game is stuttering a lot, i only have 125 mod installed and i use the performance mod. i use the 2en biggest map because the biggest lags to much
I'm conflicted with your videos. Sure they are short, concise and informative. But you speak really fast and I have to go back and replay to catch things that I missed the first time. I'd really like to see a longer video from you where you take your time and not rush. Keep up the good work, Cheers.
As other comments have said, this video feels quite fast-paced which is good as an explainer of how to make the most of the mechanics, but I (and I'm sure others) would really love to watch a proper in-depth 'let's play' style series where you build up a map like this from the ground up, where you could be a bit more slow-paced and show yourself drawing out each of the rail lines etc. and go into more depth about it all!
You should not be losing money on your high speed trains, those should be your earners. Massively expensive to run, if they aren’t leaving full, they’re contributing to your bankruptcy. Trams are far better in big cities too, they have a greater cost benefit ratio, better capacity for less running costs, less contribution to traffic jams, and because they’re less frequent, or at least don’t need to be as frequent, they’re not running empty so often, so lose less money, in comparison to a frequent bus line.
The goal of the game is to make the best transport empire. Is it not better to have more, faster and easier connections for passengers even if they arent maximising profits? Nationalised vs capitalist idealogy in tpf2 i guess 😂
Hey hushey, thanks for the video! It helps a lot. May I ask what mod or setting you used to blur the borders of the view so that the map edges cannot be seen, if you know what I mean?
For city growth video, it's missing: 1. The view where people are moving and how to adjust public transport 2. Emissions, how to handle high emissions in residential area, so it won;t impact growth.

Great video, I see that your cities are growing very beautiful between your pre-designed road layouts. 1 Question about that, how do you prevent that the cities are messing up your road layouts by building their own roads. I have a Mod, where you can add small bushes, trees or poles to prevent towns from building somewhere, but is there an easier mod to prevent cities from building their own roads?
I dont even know if i can achieve this. I am so messy with my building. And i always leave the trains stations at the same level as the streets and then i have huge traffic jam around the crossings. But i see elevated is the deal to solve all this
It may be what the algorithm likes but it's not what your longtime viewers like. I'm personally unsubscribing because this is just too shouty and LOOK AT ME instead of the calmth which is what TF2 makes so attractive. And you're the only TF2 channel with proper content... Can't be your goal right

your point of wiew is good because this is the good way to groow a city but your city is just awfull. So you know you should try to make it more natural that this big thing and the trains should be more diferent because you have like 3 pasangers line with 3 type of trains it just look unnatural
That might be true in some parts of the world, but it's certainly not the case in Europe or Asia. Visit London, Paris or China and you'll find at least two types at any major station.

i would really like to see the mega cargo train that is over like 1 km long lol. i know you mention it with the how to handle cargo video but i havent seen them yet im not sure whats the use case for it.
The transfer trains between yards. Bigger the map bigger the train. I use a few smaller ones because my map is only large which isnt really very big. Hope this answers your question
@Hushey Why do you keep telling fans asking for more depth or a lets play series that you "have a plan" or " this is what youtube likes"? The viewers have been telling you what they'd like for almost 2 years now. Why dont you listen to them? Are you a creator or a saleman?
Ill tell you what i tell everyone. I need to lay the groundwork first. Lets plays are useless without people to back them, and people to back them are brought in by general videos. My analytics have proven this time and time again. I have a target in mind for daily views and once i go over it then i can start to focus on more relaxed non infomation based content. Best wishes
i play with an infinite supply of money, so this might not be the best advice, but i take the nortwest corridor aproach, and run high speed trains in the center tracks and comuter/ cargo trains in the side tracks
@@Hushey well you could say that, i live in Europe so i don't know the general vibe of east america, but i was inspired by the North east corridor in the sense of the four tracked approach
It's a good solution on a lot of maps, particularly if you make the freight trains switch to the inner tracks at stations so that they can bypass any commuter trains that are stopping.
personaly i find the Stockholm approach better local and commuter in the middle and high speed on the side. that makes it possible for the locals to turn around without interfering the high speed
@@meki___6881 That makes sense when you've got lots of local trains reversing direction, but causes problems when those local lines need to branch off further down the line. It all depends on exactly what connections you have and where they are going. Up-Down-Up-Down can also work well in a lot of situations, particularly approaching terminus stations. It's all a question of how and when to use each option.

Totally agree, very informative but way to fast. I had to go back stop the video and write stuff down so i could take it in.
I do think that the editing of these videos could also be influencing how viewers are hearing the video speed.

Not really sorry. Do you mean render distance? I have it on the max, i just always use the largest map sizes

No emissions mod is great if you use mods.

Lock everything from the start. Turns off ai building roads. Go to roads, last box on the menu, player own.

Plan as you play. Lock all roads at the start and build your own. 👍
