Those looked kinda like PC controllers but they are with quite a bit for Retro PC fans like myself as they were widely used in lots of older PC titles.
2 years late, but my favorite RPG is either Skyrim or the original Final Fantasy. One of my oldest memories is of playing Final Fantasy with my mom, and Skyrim is always fun, despite the bugs.
Man I love the gamecube, looking at your price for Zelda twilight princess. I’m really happy i picked it up in may for 45. my favorite RPG is super Mario RPG
So my favorite RPG, or RPGs i guess I'll say, are The Knights of the Old Republic games. 1 and 2 (the Sith Lords). I could never get enough of these games. I have them for Xbox, digital copies on my Xbox one and downloaded on every phone and tablet i have or have ever had lol. Alot of other great RPGs come close, but for me its these. As a side I'll throw in the MMO also, just because it furthers the story and lore of this time period in Star Wars. As always, love the videos and this series. I am so happy and excited for how much the channel has grown :)

My favorite rpg is kingdom hearts hands down. That game made me cry when I was like 12 😂. Also, I have a lot of nostalgia playing the first digimon world for playstation 1. I've been looking for it for awhile now, id love to own it again some day.
Is Paper Mario consider an RPG??? If so, that's my favorite! I definitely enjoy watching my siblings and friends play RPGs more than I enjoy playing them. You should definitely do the Switch trade again if possible.

Retro, I just gotta say you’ve inspired me to start collecting for the PlayStation 1 and I just bought a bundle over the weekend with two controllers (not dual shock) a memory card, Smackdown 2, THPS 2, Rugrats in Paris and NFL Blitz 2001 for $69 at my local game store. I’m so excited to start collecting for it and it’s because of your videos.

We had one of those disc buffers when I worked at Movie Gallery....years ago of course. But those machines work really well, just have to make sure they know what their doing so they don't buff it down to nothing!! 😟

My favorite RPG of all time is Final Fantasy IV on the SNES. It was my first RPG experience as a kid. Going from a castle, to mountains, villages, an underground world and all the way to the moon just blew my mind.

I’ve never really been a RPG guy but I’ve dipped into some games like Final Fantasy on the NES and some other titles but recently when I got my tonsils removed and a septopatium done on my nose (Exactly 2 weeks from today which is Monday 8/24) my mom and dad bought be Pokémon Sword and I have finished the game in 4 days with 21 hours poured into it because I couldn’t do anything else. It really helped take the pain away and give me something to do while I was recovering. A random story but my uncle a few years ago told me about this game called Battlefield 1942 and I never really thought much of it and I knew that if I ever found a copy I would grab it but never really wanted to order it or anything so I forgot about it. I then recently went to my goodwill for the first time (I was inspired to by a really awesome TH-camr :) and found the complete edition for 2 bucks! I was stunned and really happy about it! Thanks for making videos, stay safe, and I hope your channel continues to grow!

I bought back all the Gamecube games I sold off as a kid a few months before the pandemic hit. Seeing what Twilight Princess is going for now, I feel lucky I got it for $45 when I had the chance.

That exact same thing happened to me Rick. Nearly a hundred people who just wanted to straight up buy, and a bunch of very bad trades. I ended up selling it on eBay for a 100% profit at the time. It sucks but some places are much better for the Switch Lite experiment than others. Glad you got a come up offa it!

Favorite RPG has to be Suikoden for PS1. I loved the castle mechanic and as you recruuited more Stars of destiny your castle would change. More nostalgia for that then dare I say FF7. Great video as always Rick.

As for this videos question, my favorite role playing has to go to Dragon Quest; specifically Dragon Quest VIII Journey of the Cursed King on ps2. Final fantasy got me into it but Dragon Quest takes the trophy.

If you're getting those discs buffed at Game-X-Change then I can vouch for the quality, ESPECIALLY if your store has both the standard buffer AND the hybrid buffer, I've yet to have a disc the hybrid couldn't cure! Also helps that they see me so often, they buff my stuff for free XD. Take care of your local stores people because they will take care of you, in fact, I'ma order a pizza to my local store right now :)

I had heard there was some mix up at Square and the original master files had been lost for years and only recovered recently. Thankfully, it was recently remastered for the Switch and I could add it back to the collection.

Final fantasy 7 is my favorite rpg, not super original, but it is😅 it was probably the first rpg i ever played, the music still gives me goosebumps, i glitched a copy out on disc 2 and had to start over, maxed the clock out. I loved the materia mixing experimentation you could do, you could become OP if you knew what you could do with them. So good 😩
Favorite RPG will always be Final Fantasy VII. I grew up on the Dragon Warrior games on NES, and when FF7 came out, it blew my ever loving mind!!! I love those turn based RPGs...
Secret of Mana for me. The battle system was refreshing and the music was top notch! Riding a white dragon In the game so soon after watching The Never Ending Story in the 80’s was a nice touch too!
Favorite RPG that is so hard to get to one. Shining Force, Zelda Link to the Past, Phantasy Star 4 would be the ones off the top of my head that I go back to time and time again.
A little different from all the console games, but my favourite RPG ever is the MMORPG Runescape. Such a fun and nostaligic experience, especially their rerelease of the 2007 version of the game.

Dragons dogma is a hidden gem and has been remastered for the PS4 its a decent rpg with good combat

Lunar and its sequel for the SEGA CD were the best rpg of all time. It was rereleased on PS1

FF3 (6) is my all time favorite. It’s the first RPG I finished with my dad and brother. Major feels. Thanks for the video. Amazing pickup!

Favorite RPG will always be Final Fantasy VII. I grew up on the Dragon Warrior games on NES, and when FF7 came out, it blew my ever loving mind!!! I love those turn based RPGs...

Secret of Mana for me. The battle system was refreshing and the music was top notch! Riding a white dragon In the game so soon after watching The Never Ending Story in the 80’s was a nice touch too!

Favorite RPG that is so hard to get to one. Shining Force, Zelda Link to the Past, Phantasy Star 4 would be the ones off the top of my head that I go back to time and time again.

A little different from all the console games, but my favourite RPG ever is the MMORPG Runescape. Such a fun and nostaligic experience, especially their rerelease of the 2007 version of the game.
I have never played it but it sounds super interesting!
